  1. Just went to see The Blues Brothers as cineworld were playing it today for some reason. A true classic and great to see it on the big screen.

I too went and saw the blues brothers at my local cineworld yesterday. Where are you from? I thought it was just my cineworld showing it yesterday for some reason, but i guess not. Unless we went to the same one of course. The Blues Brothers is a true classic and one of my all time favourite films. Was great to finally see it on the big screen in its entireity as 3 summers ago I went to a special outdoor screening of it and it started pissing down with rain half way through and was turned off.

Cineworld are showing scarface next month.

  2. went and saw the wrestler today, wow.. really really good! Have always liked Mickey Rourke his performance in this is fantastic. Was great to see Rourke get a golden globe and i hope he gets a oscar he is worthy of! ***** 5 stars. have to add Marisa Tomei is great too and smoking hot! Top film! See it!

  3. maybe not less commercial or conventional but perhaps a forgotten hottie (because she hasnt really done much since the mid 90's)...

  7. Eerie Indiana: The Complete Series

Eerie Indiana; the centre of weirdness in the world. Had to pick this up on dvd as I have fond memories of watching this show when I was a kid. Series follows Marshal Teller and his buddie Simon Holmes investigating and getting caught up in all kinds of weidness in a small town called Eerie Indiana. Excellnt stuff! I loved all 19 episodes. I only wish they made more than one series of this gem of a show. There was a spin off series called Eerie Indiana: the other dimension which came 5 or 6 years later and lasted 15 episodes. I can only hope this is released somtime soon.

    Walk the Line

I finally picked this up on dvd. Man this film was truely amazing. I am a big Johnny Cash fan and was blown away by Joaquin Phoenix performance. Reese Witherspoon was also top notch as June Carter. I absoloutly loved this, a must for any fan of Johnny Cash. Very Insightful.

    Stand by Me

Based apon a story by Stephen King called 'The Body'. Stand by Me is the story of 4 friends who embark on an adventure to find the body of a missing child. A powerful movie, with some great performances given by some young actors in particular River Phoenix and Cory Feldman.

  8. 24:Series 1: Finally got around to watching this show after numerous friends recommended it. 24 is fucking awesome, I found it almost addictive. I got through the entire series in 2 sittings, staying up most parts of two nights. Bring on Series 2.

  9. been chilling and watching loads of films recently... quick rundown of what ive been watchingpulp fictionreservoir dogskill bill vol 1 & 2true romancejackie brownpulp fiction got me in the mood to dust off my tarantino dvds and have me a fest.. great films, love em. carlitos way - pacino is a legend, not one of his best but a great movie all the same.raging bull - deniro was excellent in this, most defo deserved the oscar for his performance. must see flick. clerks 2 - was laughing my ass off all through this movie randal rules as does jay. great stuff.. hilarious dialog. dirty sanchez the movie - typical sanchez antics.. some gnarly shit in this.. real funny too. anyone who enjoyed the show should see it.

  10. scary movie 4- ended up goin to see this yesterday night. i wasnt expecting much from sc 4 but i thought it was alright on par with the third, yes there were some lame gags but i found myself laughing at others. good to see the dude who played handsome in the sequel (the small handed butler ) return, its always good to see carmen electra and neilson as always was hilarious.

  11. slaughter house of the rising sun- wow what a shit film.... truely fucking terrible. me and some of my buddys love to rent low budget horror flicks like this, have a smoke and laugh like fuck at the cheesy lines, gore and acting. theres usually one or two hilarious characters in these kind of flicks aswell which keep us entertained through out the film (or at least until they are killed off by some axe wielding maniac waring a cool mask) anyway the film started off with some sort of midget porno being filmed so it looked like it had potential but as it went on it just got worse and worse what i can remember about the film is a blonde chick (who was fucking the midget at start) ends up in the desert and bumps into a bunch of hippys anyway 3 ghosts apear and make the midget fucker kill the hippys in boring lame ways. this is when it got switched off. none of the characters were funny, none of the deaths were gory, and the story was fucking stupid... utter rubbish.
