I've been rewatching the shield lately and not sure whats been the best acting on it either anthony anderson as antwon mitchell or forest whitakers portrayal of jon kavanaughs descent from morally upstanding IAD officer into one so consumed by his hatred/obsession of vic mackey he turns into the very cop hes trying to destroy.

I think its 30 days after transmission dates for raw/smackdown due to tv deals but the ppv's are available pretty much straight away.

Is there no chance of the wwe considering offering those two a spot as a tag team? They'd get over big time with the wwe fans wouldnt they?

Been watching a LOT of Statham movies recently, as they are perfect Friday night movie fare.

 

Obviously Crank and Crank 2 are amazing, but also The Mechanic was highly enjoyable with some great set-pieces.

 

On the other hand, Blitz was pretty disappointing. It felt exactly like a script for an episode of Luther that had been expanded to feature length, and had Statham attached. It didn't play to his strengths at all, and wasted a really good cast.

 

God bless the Stath, he's single-handedly keeping the action genre alive.

 

I'm glad you mentioned this, saw a Statham box set the other day and it occured to me, outside of the Transporter movies, i havent seen a lot of his stuff really. Any reccomendations?

 

Shame you didnt like Blitz, i reviewed that briefly a few months back and although it's not an action movie per se, i really enjoyed it and thought Statham was at his dry, sarcastic best.

"War" is a fairly decent statham move imo good twist in it too.

Why was Ted DiBiase Jr. in that "Marine 2" film? Seems a bit random.

In this situation I can imagine El Tel giving Easy E the "we, us, our" promotion chat, then when there was something in writing it would be "your promotion will be great brother".

Bischoff's hogans business manager isn't he? So he'd do the deal for him and ensure he was financially involved to a extent surely?

Ending I enjoyed though, but it did show just how badly the roster is suffering from no real stars. Punk was obviously away, Cena and Sheamus are injured and Miz and Show were both at the Hospital. So they sent out every available face giving Justin Gabriel and Zack Ryder a bonus.

That's not how it came across to me (i might be wrong) but it looked more like the guys who are stars ie del rio or barrett or ryback sandow or axel or whoever are content to let things go and accept the things HHH/stephanie/the shield do so they get a peaceful life they keep their spots and their titles or whatever.

Whereas tonight a group of guys who's future isnt that secure like for example prime time players or kofi kingston or justin gabriel the expendable guys coupled with guys like the uso's rvd and dolph ziggler who have (or had) title shots have just risked all of that to help daniel bryan out.

They know that they're gonna get hammered on smackdown and raw next week but still jumped in there to help daniel bryan.

Obviously i'm not suggesting talent be exclusive but it is becoming pretty similar in roster for both shows now, FSW have started using loads of the same guys that were doing PCW before (like Mastiff & TBone) and PCW seem to be drafting in more and more guys who had been regular Futureshock guys. The promotions in the North West, GPW included don't even seem willing to bring in any other talents from over the country for us to see. I live in preston and don't drive so don't get chance to see any of the out of area guys usually as now all of our local promotions just seem to all want to use the same small pool of talent. My point was mainly that it would be nice if they started bringing in some fresh guys to the area, like from Hull or the Midlands maybe or even from London or Wales. GPW's faction is entirely made up of Futureshock guys.
