  1. Well! This is very annoying.

Wanted to cancel the trial, which I did, so that i can join the network later. Except....

    1) The stream is still working.

    2) They've charged me $10.

    3) When I go to billing information there is a screen up saying that I have already cancelled.

What the smeg? Anyone else quit the trial and discovered they've still been charged?

Did you do it through Paypal? If so, you need to cancel the standing order in there too. Otherwise they'll keep charging you.

  2. Spoilers about playing all three endings:

So obviously I chose C (death wish) because I'm not a psycho and finished the mission. I just did the replay options for the other two endings and holy crap are they lame. Instead of a big multi-stage shootout and then what's effectively four assassination missions, both are literally a two minute scripted chase followed by what's basically a cut scene and then the credits rolling virtually out of nowhere. I'd have been incredible disappointed with either of those as the final mission. There's such a disparity I almost think the developers were deliberately fucking with people and if you choose the non-canon ending you get punished by a shit finale (and losing a character), which is a neat trick and all, but seems like the alternative endings were there just for that purpose.

Spot on. They're so terrible, and actually attempt to make you feel bad for picking them! They had to have put them in just for added effect and play off of the 3 character gimmick. Personally, I thought they were pretty cool but definitely not as the intended "cannon" ending of the game.

  3. Either ASDA have insider knowledge or they're just taking a stab in the dark, but according to there website the release date is 17th May 2013.

You never know, but I'd tend to suspect the latter. That's purely because the 17th is a Friday, and just like with IV a game this big will likely have a simultaneous worldwide release, which is usually always on the day it gets released in America (Tuesday).

Yeah, wasn't GTA IV released on a Tuesday? Fairly sure they're just guessing.

  4. The Vice City hype was easily the best. All those teaser websites they created purely for it, like Kent Paul's mini-blog thing, were brilliant.

One of the best things was the reveal of (for the first time) a 100% non-original soundtrack and letting slip a song here & there, and the fact that in terms of vehicles and weapons (including TOOLS!) VC had so much more than GTA3 did. And the best thing about it, it duly delivered, and then some.

Shit like this would just wet my whistle:

All of this. Best GTA EVAR!

  5. Lita gets the absolute shit kicked out of her by Triple H and Stonecold Steve Austin in a segment that would never see the light of day these days.

Have to admit, although it's all a work I do find it pretty unsettling viewing at points.

Didn't see the light of day in England (at least, on the repeats, didn't get to see the late Friday showing of RAW at the time.) but I remember it was a massive angle at the time.
