  1. So this week I scored my first full time permanent job in 8 years! Been surviving on either part time or temp stuff since then so this is a massive deal for me. I shall be manager at a Cancer Research charity shop. I started volunteering at my local one back in 2014 and moved up to Sunday Manager (paid one day a week) and in the last 6-8 months I've been a kinda unofficial relief manager covering other shops in the area when managers have days off/holiday and no one at that shop can fill in, but that was unsteady as some weeks I'd have 3-4 days work and others I'd have none. But now I have my very own shop. Money ain't great but I barely care about that cos just buzzing to be earning full time again. Finish at my current shop on 2nd May, then 2 weeks training in another shop before taking over at my new home. Yay! And thanks to the peeps who helped me with an application form question a few weeks back in this thread, as you can see it's had a good result!

  2. Ever randomly remember a moment from back in the day and swear you've imagined them? No one I've mentioned this to remembers it, so I'm starting to think it was a weird dream. It involved Mark Henry in backstage segments and whoever he was with asked why he smelt funny, to which Mizark replies 'That's mah stank!'. Am I going nuts or was this really a thing?!

  3. People who've had the skipping and spoiling the main event, what device are you watching through?

I only ask as I've never had any issues when watching on PS4. I only tend to get buffering when watching on PS3

I watched live on PS4 and twice got a 'This app has suffered a fatal error and needs to be restarted' message. Thankfully these were during entrances, so I was able to quickly restart it in a few seconds without missing any action.

  4.

Nearly halfway through Until Dawn. Took me a couple hours to get into it but enjoying it now, even if the vast majority of the teens are massive twats. Once I've finished is it worth doing another playthrough making different choices to see what happens when you make different decisions or is it really only good for one playthrough?

I'd say it's worth at least 2 playthroughs. The choices you make, even in conversation, seem insignificant at times, but then come back up when you least expect them. Plus most of the cast feature several ways and times to die.

Without spoiling it for you, in my first playthrough I thought I was doing so well. I went way past the half way point with everyone alive, but a choice I made early on resulted in one of them dying, and then they all started dropping like flies. I only had 3 alive by the end. So definitely play it at least twice. Probably not worth a 3rd run though.

Cheers. I'll keep it on the shelf once completed and have another run-through in a couple of months. I've not had anyone die yet but I'm expecting it won't be far off. I'm intrigued as to what the sections with the creepy doctor guy are about though. Is it just so the scares in the story are tailored to your choices in his conversations or is there something else to them?

  6. Results please.

    Unsure on match order but...

    Rampage Brown beat Mikey Whiplash

Tommy End beat James Davis (End then made the second stipulation for the SDS/Riots TLC match next month. The losing team can never tag in Progress again)

    Bubblegum beat Jack Sexsmith

Pollyanna and Morgan Webster beat The South Pacific Power Couple (TK Cooper and Dahlia Black)

    Jack Gallagher beat Timothy Thatcher

The Origin (Zack Gibson and Dave Mastiff) beat Damo/Joe Coffey, Sweet Jesus (Chuck Mambo and Pastor William Eaver), and The Dazzler Team (Darrell Allen and Earl Black Jr) in a 4 way tag match.

Marty Scurll beat Mark Haskins to retain the Progress Championship

  7.

Hulk Hogan is doing a 3 hour meet and greet in London on November 13th at The Walkabout Bar, Temple Place.

Although it's not on their website yet, tickets on sale October 30th from:

Simply Prestige have confirmed that Jimmy Hart will also be avaliable for photos and autographs at Hogans London show.

That's cool. Will be great to meet Mouth Of The South. Will this cost extra do you know?

  8. So, Twitter is abuzz with the main event of the next Takeover being announced. Not sure how much of a spoiler it is seeing as HHH and the official NXT and WWE Twitters are talking about it but I'll use tags just in case...

Bayley v Sasha for the Womens Title in a 30 Minute Iron (Wo)Man Match!

Blimey, that'll be a bit good!

  9. What was it like?I heard some say it was really good until Lewis Hamilton came on. I loved that show as a teenager.

It was really good fun and full of nostalgia, even if some bits missed the mark for me. Music-wise the Blur and Liam Gallagher performances were enjoyable. Freak Or Unique was good fun (bringing back the top 5 acts from back in the day). The interviews were hit and miss, Amanda Seyfried was really awkward and I was wondering if she was stoned or something. The Lewis Hamilton and Jeremy Clarkson stuff near the end didn't interest me at all cos I'm not a Top Gear fan.

Would've liked to have seen a few more segments from the old series though. I was hoping for Ugly Bloke and Fat Lookalikes.

  10. Anyone been watching Sense 8, the new series on Netflix? Interesting premise about 8 people around the world who can link minds, communicate telepathically, feel each others feelings, have acces to their memories etc. I'm halfway through and while it's not brilliant, it's watchable. Little frustrating that there doesn't seem to be a proper actual plot that links the eight characters together as yet, but most of them are likeable and there have been some cool scenes where they link minds and help each other out.

  11. He was going to Japan anyway, the post above even explains it all.

Is Jericho just doing random house shows these days? I'm actually looking forward to that Neville match.

Yeah, he pops up every 3 months or so, does 2-3 weeks of house shows then goes back to his stuff away from wrestling.

  12. Seeing as Daniel Bryan is injured and we've got Barrett v Neville on the pre-show for Extreme Rules now instead, it got me thinking. What was the last 1 on 1 match featuring 2 Englishmen on a WWE PPV? Only one that comes to mind from relatively recent memory is Regal v Burchill but I'm not even sure they ever had a PPV match. Anyone know?

  13. The Super Strong Style Tournament now has 11 confirmed names...

    Tommy End

    Roderick Strong

    Will Ospreay

    Zack Gibson

    Marty Scurll

    Tomasso Ciampa

    Dave Mastiff

    Eddie Dennis

    Jack Gallagher

    El Ligero

    Rampage Brown

Strong field so far I think. Good mix of imports, regulars and a debutant in Gallagher.

Also, on the second day of this Weekender Progress will be having the first womens match at a Chapter show. Jinny v Pollyanna in a No DQ match. I've really enjoyed their feud that has run through the last 4 or so ENDVR shows, so it's fitting to have them have the blow off match on the big stage at the Electric Ballroom.
