  1. Some great endings have already been mentioned; my favourite that hasn’t come up yet is Boogie Nights. I could watch that last five minutes, from when the montage with God Only Knows begins playing, then the tracking shot following Jack around his house before finishing on Dirk Diggler’s pep talk to himself, over and over. I know some people find it quite down beat but I think it’s really uplifting.

  2. I said I'd never do it, but I just got into it with Court Bauer and some tart off Konnan's podcast on twitter, because Konnan is a homophobe and brags about assaulting women. A bunch of fucking loonies. Never get into Twittah Warz. Its a waste of time.

Good on you for speaking up about it. I couldn

  3. I watched a few of those Wrestling with Rosenberg interviews last week. I thought the Bully Ray was great too. He does come across as a bit pompous at times, but he seems to get that he rubs people up the wrong way and I found the stuff about his early years really interesting .

The Mark Henry episode is the best one I saw. I

  4. I was watching the Hulk Hogan - The Ultimate Anthology DVD the other day and Hogan talks about Andre not liking him initially but warming to him after an incident in Japan which, I think, he described along the lines of having his back against a wall or being back into a corner and sticking up for himself, something like that. So, I was wondering to what incident is he referring?

  5. The UK sections of the coverage are dire though, down to the Beeb and C4 both using the same colour analyst.

Are you talking about Mike Carlson? I think he

  6. I vaguely remember it actually, but I wasn't sure if it was sitcoms or a general comedy show thing.

It was general stuff; I remember putting This Morning with Richard Not Judy and Brass Eye on my list. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. The film threads earlier this year were great fun.

Chilli, I like Open All hours, but I think Porridge is in a totally different league. You should definitely get that watched at some point. There aren

  7. Those Soundcloud accounts are chock full of awesome stuff; great find, Chest.

Keeping the electronic music discussion going, although this is a lot darker sounding, I recently came across a great album called Drokk: Music inspired by Mega-City One by Geoff Barrow of Portishead and a guy called Ben Salisbury, whose done a load of music for TV shows.

    I was sure I

  8. Anyone seen The Raid? Is it any good? I saw the word subtitled on the DVD cover, so thought my Bro wouldn't like it and didn't pick it up, but is it subbed all the way through?

Yeah, they talk in Indonesian throughout it. To be honest most of it is people beating the shit out of each other with little dialogue; you only get a few scenes with much talking. If you like ridiculously over the top action films it's worth a go.
