  1. I looked at going back to uni to do something vocational such as counselling or Social Work, but it's cost prohibitive at present because already have a degree. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you looked into doing social work as a masters if you already have a degree? Its two years rather than three and I think there is still a NHS bursary attached as well.

  2. There were some absolute shits in front of me at Smackdown. One guy in particular, probably 30 years old at least, who didn't have a front row ticket but pushed his way to the front for every entrance. Daniel Bryan threw his towel into the crowd and a lady who was in the front row caught it and he was trying his hardest to pull it out of her hands with a look on his face saying this is mine. Obviously a complete pussy though as she managed to outstrength him and keep it for herself. Look out for him, holding up a shit cardboard sign saying something about Vickie Guerrero, he'll probably be on camera constantly. Massive prick. Hope he posts on here.

I was sat further down that block and the security guys were having a nightmare with him and a few other people constantly trying to get to the front. They ended up threatening to throw people out but that was pretty late on in the show so probably wouldn't have made a difference.

If by 'nightmare' you mean 'did nothing about it for the first 2 and a half hours' then yes you're right. I even saw grown men push in front of children who actually had front row seats. Utter twats. There were probably 10 people who did it every single match.

The security nearest me were up and down every five minutes to the people in the middle of the block, and also seemed to be getting mither from WWE security who were annoyed at Superman

  4. It might be that he looks like he'd be a demon in the sack

See I'd expect him to stop half way through, sit on the end of the bed and cry for hours about how you're being unfair to him and how Vince doesn't like him.

And Butch, that image is probably equally something that attracts some women, given the amount of love that Punk/Cena fan fiction gets on tumblr.

  5. yeah, a few years ago at the Hilton in Birmingham, right?

here was something of a fight at the Birmingham, England hotel where the WWE Raw wrestlers were staying. According to several sources I spoke to, the actual hotel was understaffed since there were WWE performers staying as well as a contingent of what was described to me as "kickboxing fans" who were in town for an event promoted by the International Kickboxing Federation on 4/24 in Birmingham.

The hotel lobby was said to have resembled a nightclub, with security completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people inside. Several of the kickboxing fans had "way too much to drink" and ended up having words with WWE referee Jack Doan and "trying to show what tough guys they were to the fake pro wrestlers."

After Doan was physically struck by one of the fans, a number of WWE wrestlers descended upon the kickboxing fans and restrained them, warning them to calm down. I was told it was more a situation where the fans were taken down and stretched to restrain them, as opposed to a full fledged assault on the kickboxing fans.

When the kickboxing fans didn't calm down and started up again, the wrestlers and hotel security all physically removed them from the hotel. No police were called and there was no further incident.

Seems the WWE guys handled themselves quite well.

Fans, rather than kickboxers themselves then.

  6. There's a few places in Manchester doing black pudding scotch eggs. Haven't tried one yet but the black pudding pork pies they do in my local deli are amazing.

  7. I went last night, and the crowd went mental at Taylor's comeback, some of the best scoring there I've seen in ages. Anderson wasn't particularly good, Wade seemed more interested in playing to the crowd for the most part. I think Whitlock could be a challenger this year.

  8. Lass o Gowrie is cracking, although I'm more of a Fab Cafe man myself.

Good man. A friend of a friend bleated on that Fab is shit and TV21 was far superior, not on your fucking nelly.

The toilets might be at a push but that's it.

Fab's pretty much the only place I can still tolerate on a regular basis in Manchester city centre. TV21's alright, but too many people I know think every bar in the Northern Quarter is great, just because they're in the Northern Quarter (Apotheca does do great cocktails though). Not been in the Lass for years, was always a great place to while away an afternoon though.
