  1. I just watched Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father. That was tough, didn't know anything about it before watching and it completely caught me off gaurd. There is some staggering stuff in there, stuff you just can't believe happened. Definatly recommend. :sneaky:

  2. If I view a video on my my mobile that does this all I have to do is click a button that says 'view desktop version of this site' and then it plays it with no problems. Still annoying that I have to do this though. :sneaky:

  3. what documentary? any links on that?

actually does anyone now what alot of the original CZW/XPW deathmatch guys are upto these days. Ive said before i was a big mark for all that shit when i was younger and it seems that pretty much all of em have stopped wrestling now (which is understandable). Any word? the only guy ive heard of after the deathmatch stint was Nick Mondo.

What have you heard about Mondo? I was a massive mark for the guy and stopped watching CZW altogether when he quit the business. I know he was into his film making but haven't heard about anything he has done since 'Unscarred'. :sneaky:

  4. As for the Battle Royale Blu it absolutely is a worth wile collectors item however the transfer they were provided from TOHO whilst an improvement on every other DVD version really isn't what it could be. I'd be very surprised if ultimately there wasn't a better remastered version released either by TOHO or in the US once the 3D version makes its way to cinema screens. Potentially Arrow themselves could release another version as the UK rights holders if my speculation comes to be seen.

The best Blu Ray i have is either the Battle Royale set or the new Apocalypse Now set, both are tremendous.

That settles it then Battle Royale will be in the next order. Don't really like having two copies of the same film though, might have to get rid of the tin will have a look at the going rate on ebay. :sneaky:

  5. I know I already feel like I should have waited for a Blu-ray release. But I bought it on impulse really, me and some mates used to watch this all the time on vhs and because it's never been released on DVD I just felt like I needed to buy it straight away.

Whats the Battle Royale transfer like, I know there are some dark, gloomy and sometimes hard to see scenes on the original SE DVD tin that I've got, I'd be willing to pay out again if the Blu-ray version is much better.

That's a very nice collection you've got there, bet the look great altogether. :sneaky:

  6. Anyone know if Harry Potter was shot in 3D or is a conversion? if it was shot in 3D then I'll give it a go otherwise its pointless.

Watched the new Blu Ray of Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse. Hadn't seen it before. It comes close to being a classic Slasher but unfortunately only manages mildly entertaining.

Was that the Arrow Films release? I've just bought the brand new release of Slaughter High from them haven't got round to watching it yet and already I think it could possibly be the best

  7. .

    You prick.

I agree, but then I'm a prick for sitting here for the whole ten minutes and watching with tears streaming down my cheeks like a little girl. Just lucky the wife's out otherwise she would have been filming my reaction to the video and posting that on youtube. :sneaky:

  8. finally visited Poundland and got hold of a couple of DVD's :) picked up 8 Seconds, Rudi Y Cursi, The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang & Unknown. Not bad at all, they had a few others that i already owned.

How often do they get new stuff in? i assume it's a case of first come, first served with them types of things.

Can't comment on the others but that's a good buy for a quid, off to work in a bit but I'll try and pop into town tomorrow and see if our Poundland has it in. Always check out the DVDs in there but I think theres only been one occasion where I've found something of interest to me. :sneaky:

  9. Watched The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang yesterday which is from the creators of Napoleon Dynamite. At first this put me off watching as I've never really 'got' ND. But I thought it was brilliant, not in a laugh out loud kind of way but I did have a few chuckles to myself. If you've 90 minutes that need filling I'd certainly give this a go. :sneaky:

  10. Wife?? I still think of you as a teenager even though we're about the same age. I blame the screen name.

Also, here's some mad skillz on New Super Mario Bros. Wii:

    Made me smile. :)

Lava Man, just sounds too similar to Lover Man. Can't bring myself to change it. Yeh got married in August, gonna be a dad too, crazy eh? :sneaky:

  11. Carly Pope

She's extremely underappreciated, in my opinion...Animal HouseSet in 1962, this comedy is about the Delta House Fraternity at Faber College and Dean Vernon Wormer's (John Vernon) efforts to have them all expelled. From start to finish, I really enjoyed this film. Essentially, the premise is very basic, but the execution is flawless. Animal House is filled with an abundance of funny scenes and classic lines, some of which are totally random, like during the mini-road trip and toga party, and a great set of characters. This movie works well because the characters that you're supposed to support are all incredibly likeable. John Belushi, who plays Bluto, delivers a showstealing performance. He's excellent as an idiotic drunk and everything he does on-screen is brilliant. Stephen Furst and Kevin Bacon, in his film debut, are pretty good, too. Released in 1978, it's obvious that Animal House acts as the blueprint for nearly every other college comedy that's followed it, in terms of the story, content and characters. If you liked Old School, you should definitely check this film out...In short, Animal House is a funny and entertaining film that you can't help but love because it has so much charm. It's an immature, lewd and perverted classic. Toga! Toga!
One of my favourites, and I'm off to my first toga party tomorrow.:sneaky:
  12. This is a little video we made after seeing one on a site I visit (waytoomany.com) our version was later added onto the end of theirs.

This is the first time my Octabong was ever used. Since, it has been to two festivals (Reading to come), a couple BBQ's and a few parties. It's great fun and every group of friends should own one.
