  1. It was definately a good show, I booked the day off work and set my alarm to watch it live from the rumble to the main event. For a bit of context I have barely caught any NJPW in the last 12 months outside of the 2 Rev Pro shows live & some ROH related stuff.

I thought the crowd was red hot at times, especially for a dome crowd. Electric atmosphere at key moments.

The match that suprised me the most was the Junior title match. It was brutal, the crowd really got into it and it was the best I have ever seen Kushida. That senton to the outside was madness, similar to Trents bump earlier in the Jr tag match which was also fantastic and delivered more than I expected.

The main event was absolutely superb. Both guys looked like real stars and were treated as such. Not one for ratings but I would easily put it somewhere between ****1/2 & *****. You must watch it.

A fair bit of the undercard was underwhelming but that isn't a deal breaker or even a bad thing on these long dome shows. For me the Tanahashi & Naito match didn't rate as highly as everyone else has it, maybe down to me not being familiar enough to register the callbacks etc.? Also I think I am getting tired of Shibata.

People should definately check it out on NJPW World, easily worth the £7/£8 for the month plus the Dash show tommorow should be worth checking out.

  2. I really can't emphasize enough just how great Marty vs Will was. Going in, my expectations were high for this match but this match blew them away. It was exactly the really good match I expected until about 10 minutes in when something switched, intensity wise and emotion wise and the match just went to another level. I also think it got a fairly tame crowd (by York Hall standards) to not only wake up, but on get up on their feet losing their shit.

The first 3 matches up to that point were all fairly good (Colt is not really my cup of tea to be fair, but is he over with this audience) and I think Mike Bailey put in a good showing as did both guys in the opener. It was a shame to see the opener not really connect with the crowd though especially given both of their fantastic matches at the tournament at the Cockpit a few weeks back. I think over time Pete Dunne will make a great cruiser weight champion and very few people pull off the underdog role and take a beating as well as Flash is right now.

Both the 6 man and Lethal vs Haskins were good matches. The Lethal/Haskins match being made for the ROH title was a bit of a killer for me as the outcome of the match was a forgone conclusion. Bram in the 6 man was an ok surprise but overall I feel I have seen Sha, Jimmy, Bodom etc. in better brawls in the past.

The main event was a good showing, most importantly it made ZSJ look like a million bucks (though, he kind of does that with ease himself). Overall a good match and the finishing submission was .... well I have no idea what it was. Post match shenanigans were nice to be a part of but honestly, this Royal Rumble stuff with AJ....please tell me this has become an "inside" joke and people aren't taking it seriously?!

Overall another really good show from Rev Pro at York Hall, though it wasn't quite the complete top the bottom package that some of the previous shows have been, it just didn't quite seem to flow as well, but that is me being a bit harsh against the high standard they have set themselves. Really gutted at there being no return until JULY! I will definitely be at the next Cockpit show (I love that venue!) and will keep an eye on the Reading show line up. I really hope they save a main event title match of Marty vs Zack until the next York Hall show, but saying that, that is the 1 match that might get me to travel to Reading.

  3. Is anyone else more than a little anxious that AJ is going to pull out of this show given his recent back issues?

It wouldn't be the end of the world and given the track record that Rev Pro have for Replacements (Roderick Strong and Austin Aries!) I feel they would find a great replacement to face Zack but god I really REALLY want to see this match and feel if it doesn't happen in January there is a good chance it won't happen.

  4.

    When's the uk tour airing?

Starts airing February 15.Meanwhile, they've announced some matches for Wembley tomorrow:

Lashley vs. Kurt Angle - World Title match, first ever singles match between the twoBobby Roode vs. Eric YoungRockstar Spud vs. EC3 - hair vs. hair matchUltimate X match - for the first time in the UK

    Good looking line-up that.

Good looking line up. The ultimate X match they have been advertising in advance though, it is the second one at Wembley, the first one was a few years ago.

  5. Using the PS3 and PS4 apps you go in the "shows" section, then pick WWE, ECW or WCW, it then takes you into their PPV library, where it lists the event names in alphabetical order. You then go into the event name and can pick which year of that particular show you want to watch. So unless you know off by heart, what order the annual events run in, plus throw in the random 1 offs like a Capital Carnage where you would also need to the know the year, its not as easy as I would like it to be that's all.

You view the content from the "In-ring" and "Vault" sections by year though, it is literally just the PPV's that you can't.

  6. I really hope they add the ability to sort/view the PPV archive by year & the PPV's are listed chronologically so I can just pick a company & marathon the PPV's with ease. A resume feature wouldn't hurt either.

I bloody love this network though, I am still a bit unsure how it will play out in the long term. I am also interested to see the UK price point, at just over

  7. Has anyone subscribed from the new http://www.FightingSpiritMagazine.co.uk website yet? I just want to make sure that the process is as easy as I presumed it to be. It's also never been easier to buy back issues through the site.

Yes, I have. Only issue was that nowhere on the site did it mention the free dvd. I emailed customer services, who were very helpful. Took out a years subs (my first since 2007) and looking forward to both the mag and not needing to go to Smith's in Bury ever again

    Free dvd?

  8. I was actually thinking of subscribing to this but the website just says coming soon and I can't see any other way to subscribe? I have never seen this magazine in a shop near me either so I cant really just pop out and buy it.

  9. Does HybridEnt take fucking ages to load matches for anybody else? I've been averaging a match a day from TOD because I cant be arsed waiting for 1 match to load

No trouble here, I watched it on my laptop using wireless, used a HDMI and hooked it up to my TV. Quite a decent quality stream, I ordered the top deal with the canvas t shirt and all that, fairly good deal for something fairly unique.

  10. Cheers Richie I am also using hotmail so I might try my gmail address, I don't really fancy setting up another email for this one site.

Also to throw it out there, wxw in germany still run deathmatch shows and also a TOD v Gorefest tournament which I will be attending later in the year  my first deathmatch experience live. I am stoked!

  11. How bloody long does it take hybrident to send out an email to verify your account? I have checked all my junk folders etc and nothing.

I went to order it earlier and that was about an hour and a half ago, planned on watching it this evening. How can a website that streams video not even be able to send an email instantly?

Tempted to watch it another way just to spite them.

  12. http://gaijinpuro.us/

Not sure how I feel about this site yet. This guy is responsible for 95% of all recent Puro and his uploads used to go on WrestlingBay. However they got wise that members of WB would then upload the Japanese shows for free elsewhere, so now they only upload to the site above where you have to pay per download. Shows can range from around $6 to $15 depending on the quality(and size) of the rip.

It's all downloads and they're ISO files. But if you want recent Puro, it's here first and apparently they've put measures in place so that those who download and then put the shows up free for everyone will get banned from using their site.

This site is now invite only? And I didnt sign up before, any idea how to get an invite?
