Sandman looks like a homeless meth addict in his KC Timeline shoot. Scabs all over his face, blotchy, broken skin -- and his three-year-old son hanging around his neck as he slurs, fucks and know what I mean's his way through 1995. Look at the state of him.
Â
Â
There's a really weird bit about domestic violence too, where he cites 75% of all police calls being related to that, and says how "We all want to hit the old lady, don't we? We've all done that."
Â
I think he looks pretty normal and coherent. I greatly enjoyed this 'trailer' and look forward to watching the shoot.

I love this gif

I kind of agree.

But playing Devil's Advocate for a minute, are there any good examples of modern wrestling stars who CAN get by just with a Duggan style? I mean, it's cool that Duggan was able to work the same match in 2009 in WWE as he did in 1987, but that's because he was already over from his heyday.
Â
If Swagger, for example, limited himself to hitting people with a 4X4, and marching around the ring, he'd be laughed at. The closest person I can think of is Ryback.
Â
I compare him alot to Bad News Brown. Part of their gimmick WAS the fact that they didnt wrestle. Duggan would HOOO and wave a flag and get counted out for brawling, the same as Bad News Brown would be the sore loser who would walk away when things got too heated. Thats what you did with limited workers, gimmick em the fuck up.
Â
Plus, WWE exposed Swagger and Ryback to you already and therefor you KNOW they are geeks who are out there doing theatre. To me, Duggan is STILL the guy with the 4x4 who goes HOOOOOO. You'd have to bring someobody you've never seen. Have him do the gimmick and people will warm to the fact that that is his gimmick.
Â
Take the Masterlock challenge. A pretty stupid gimmick in a world where all is fake. But if you keep it up long enough we would be having a thread with discussions about who's gonna end the 3 year streak.
Â
tl;dr don't put old gimmicks on the new guys.
-
In 1992, WWF should have just gave the main title to ole Hackjaw Jim Duggan! He was unbelievably over when you look back and was in a high-profile feud with big Yoko. He could have dropped it to Yoko, then Yoko could have dropped it to Bret Hart! Hooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
Â
They should give him the World Heavyweight Championship now. I'd be tempted to watch it and it's not like it means diddly squat. Who wouldn't be curious about Duggan holding that belt?
Â
They could have a gimmick that every match has the same finish, wrestle for about 4 minutes, both go outside, double count-out. Just abuse that double count out finish EVERY PPV. Then a DQ finish against Del Rio at WM30. HOOOOOOOOooooo!!!
Â
I would watch, I love the guy. He sticked a thumb in the air and got a bigger pop then most of the guys. Just a class worker who did as little as possible for the biggest pay-off. And people ate it up. He even got a face pop in Canada while carrying the american flag. I reckon he's be piss easy to work with.
Â
Fuck Davey Richards up his dwarven ass with his poor looking gymnastics, you should wanna be like Jim Duggan.
-
How anyone can rate those guys after seeing that is mad. What a morons! Congrats you done and made pro-wrestling look like 2 men having rough sex for real. I hope you're proud.

Perhaps they though the Survivor Series 2010 buyrate was shit so they expected a massive increase, but thought the Rumble 2012 buyrate was decent so were happy with any increase.
Â
Maybe, that still wouldn't make a huge amount of sense though. The 2010 SS buyrate was pretty crappy by SS standards of the past, but it was still a better number than 2009. In 2011 they reversed a downwards trend and got 70,000 extra buys.
Â
The 2012 rumble got a decent buyrate by general PPV standards, but was actually the lowest rumble buyrate I can find, so it's not like it was an amazing number or anything.
Â
Plus it was one of the lowest grossing ppv's because of the advertising done for it and the Rock's payday.

Thought Impact was really good this week. Bully Ray and the Appletini was hilarious as was Robbie E. Lockdown should be pretty solid. Reckon Bully will turn heel, which is a shame as I'm liking him as a face at the moment. The big reveal has to happen at Lockdown surely?
Â
I would want him to turn a little later. Mabye a short title run as a face with the backing of Sting and all the other faces, cept Hogan. In the end Hogan needs to be right about him, but no reason to let him go on as a face right now.
-
I can see a Hogan v Bully match at BFG.
Â

Randy Orton should have kept the 'Evolution' theme his WHOLE career, missed oppertunity. That theme rocked so much.

Just been looking through a WWE Memes page on Facebook. They put up that photo of Eddie G and Benoit from Mania XX with Benoit removed. And you should see some of the comments. "It was obvious that Benoit was set up, he wasn't the killer"....." Why is Benoit treated so bad? Hitler killed millions and he is still spoken about..."..." His wife was a slut and his kid was a spaz, what was he meant to do?".... Seriously. What the hell goes through the minds of these morons??? Frightening to think these people are actually out in the real world communicating with sane people 😳

Yeah, me too. He had a good look and the name was something fresh. He was like a better version of Suicide. He had a match on Impact aswell, shame we never got more.Indeedy! He was featured in the Destination X tournament to crown a new champion. I loved him.
-
I have also heard 'going north', as to making it in the WWE. We're a wrestlingforum, we put in the time so we can be a bit of a smark now and then. Nobody here is a 'normal' fan of anything.
-
Top Gear is very prowrestling-y isnt it? 2 Babyfaces and one heel in every segment. They work the audience in believing its done all live and off the cuff. But everything is clearly planned out in those specials abroad.
Â
Bet you alot of those 'Wrestling is fake' guys watch Top Gear and think its all real
-
A moveset sounds very limited to me. Isnt a wrestler suppose to know his way out of every situation? You shouldnt have to think to yourself while in a headlock 'Do i have a move in my moveset that gets me out of here?'
Â
Kayfabewise, every prowrestler should have every move in their 'moveset', making the word unnecessary imo.
-
He had a good body and a good look. But the most important thing in this business, and you (the UKFF) of all people know it, you have to get 'it'. Not everybody gets it, so 80% of the 'futureendevaured' I think, are just guys and gals who didnt get it.
Â
If you think the lockerroom king isnt gonna test you and rib on you? Then its not the business for you.
-
Alicia Fox. I still think that one title reign should still be going. They could have build up the title like they are doing now with Punk. A man can dream?
Â
This smile should be making millions in wrestling, shouldnt it?
Â
Â
Â
A long reigning, black, female champion. Vince could print money
-
Already posted. Sorry
-
That match had a dumb finish. The ref drops Damage's hand 3 times and THEN goes to count the pin.... wait what? Deranged had him.
-
Why is Cornette getting beat up by Black Machismo in my school dinner hall?
Â
Because it looks low rent enough.
-
Mabye a rule where the first page is for blacked out spoilers and general feeling of the show?
-
WTF are those blocks hes falling on?
Â
Its one thing to cut yourself up with stuff, its another to jump 8 foot in the air and come down head first on fucking concrete blocks!
Â
Its a microwave.. What was the move suppose to be? is it a botch or.. perfect?
-
What a load of shite 'Vintage' Collection was this week. Booker T v John Cena for the whole show?
Â
It's mid 90's WCW and Prime Time Wrestling for me or nothing.
Â
I skipped that one aswell. Watched Bret Hart vs Stone Cold from Survivor Series. Great match.
-
What's up with not being able to view the Raw report on F4W? Thats been my usual stop for a decade.
Â
Â
Todd Martin stopped doing them and his were always free so i guess they changed it when the new writer started doing those.
-
Good! I know they're still struggling to get the ratings for the new earlier 1st hour up, but the quality of the product is much improved by being live, and the build-up to PPVs has been better recently as well. I hope their PPV buys improve as well.
Â
Announcing ALL(!) of the matches on the Thursday before the PPV.... thats still TNA levels of wrestlecrap if you think about it.
Â
Some of you may still have hope for TNA, but to me its mostly the same ol shitty shit storylines with better and LIVE wrestling. Austin's title reign and the poor handeling of the Aces and Eights has killed all intrest I had in TNA.
