  1. And does Tennant have it in his contract that he has to kiss all the bloody women in this show?

If you ask me I think its the bloody women demanding they get to kiss him... I know I would

  2. The psychic lady (aka Liz from Teachers) was in it before as an air stewardess in the "woman steals the doctor's voice" episode.

For someone who's supposedly physically attractive, Michelle Ryan sure does lack charisma.

Actually that was a different actress.

Correct, the actress playing the air hostess in Midnight is in... er... Holby. Or Casualty. One of the two. Whichever one Ade Edmonson is in. Holby I think.

  3. Off the top of my head...

Russell Brand - funny, charming, cheeky

Laurence Llewelyn Bowen - lovely fella

Marcus Brigstocke - Words fail me other than I LOVE THIS MAN!

Ginger (Wildhearts) - possibly on something but still very kind and soft spoken

Niall Quinn - Another lovely fella

That's all I can really remember right now.

  4. High School Musical 3Slightly more grown up than the previous two with even better musical numbers. I loved it.

I really wanna see that but am too embarressed to go to the cinema. Props for having the courage.
And props for admitting to it ;) I got home shockingly drunk as is the norm on a Saturday/Sunday to find Robin Hood: Men in Tights on Sky. I have it on VHS and have seen it many times yet for some reason tonight I noticed little things I've never noticed before, tiny things like the exit sign above the castle door and some guy making a quiet comment about Marian's boobs. Still love that film though, makes me giggle. Last week when I got home Hairspray was on... can't say that I was keen on the idea of watching since I'm a die-hard fan of the original non-musical with Ricki Lake, but I was surprisingly entertained though John Travolta playing Mrs Turnblatt is just disturbing to say the least and the idea of a union between him and Christopher Walken is the stuff of nightmares. Still, it was more enjoyable as a musical as I thought it would be. Now I'm off for some old school... bit of Gene Kelly methinks :)
  5. I'm baffled how anyone can continue watching Smallville. It was never amazing to start with, but I gave up after the "video game" season. "Now travel to this place and collect this item..."

I watch out of habit now rather then really enjoying the show like i used to. The first episode of Season 8 pretty much ripped apart all the good work they did with Lex over the previous 4/5 seasons. Pointless really.
I only really started watching it this year because of my insomnia. I would have E4 on through the night (pre-Big Brother) and it was background noise which sort of weedled its way into my existence. I'm not happy about it like because I have a general hatred of all things Superman related (though not as much as I hate all things Spidermand related)... It's also thanks to my insomnia that I started watching Scrubs which I seemed to always miss due to never being home when it was on. Silver lining and all that! :DStrangely I'm enjoying the Gilmore Girls re-runs. Not like me to watch such girly type nonsense but meh! I like it.X Factor... but that's a story for another thread ;)HouseBig Bang Theory (again)Miami Ink (which seems to be resulting in me paying more visits to the tattoo place)HOLLYOAKS!... if only for one week hahaRick and Steve
  6. I have the Legion novel.

How is that scene played out in writing? You know the one. I imagine fifty pages of "yeah, it's a hallway and that. There's a nurse milling about. Nothing happening. Still a hallway. The nurse is OH FUCKING HELLCHRIST"
Oh jesus, I can't remember. As I said its been a while since I read it. About 8 years or so. I'll have a look about my room see if I can find it and I'll get back to you on that one haha ;)On a totally-fucked-over-from-zero-sleep note... I just finished watching The Other Boleyn Girl. Last night after watching BBC's resident pornfest, The Tudors it put me in the mood to watch Elizabeth, which I always found to be enjoyable (can't believe that was made 10 years ago now), but instead I opted for Elizabeth: The Golden Age. It was decent enough, a lot less bloodshed than the first, but still Cate Blanchett was consistant in a tremendous portrayal of the Queen of England. So, today in the early hours and still in the mood for some history (even if it's fictionally tweaked in places) I checked out The Other Boleyn Girl. Hated it. With a passion. I had to force myself to stick it out to the end. Normally if I show no interest within the first 20 mins then that's it, I fuck it off and move on to the next. I think it was the knowledge of Anne Boleyn's fate that kept me going to be honest. Aside from that there wasn't a single thing I liked about this movie.
  7. Exorcist III - Legion - finally finished watching the Exorcist series. This was the 2nd sequel and was directed by the man who wrote the original (William Peter Blatty), who incidentally despised the original sequel. This movie pretty much has nothing to do with the Exorcist, it's based on Blatty's novel Legion and is basically a serial killer-detective movie, there's a brief mention too the exorcism but that's it (an actual exorcism scene was tagged on at the end after being demanded by the studio and is pretty stupid). This was a very good movie, it's definatly been hurt by the fact that is carries the Exorcism tag. But watch this with an open mind and expect something a little different and you'll probably get a kick out of it.The Exorcist series is probably my favorie series of horror movie, i've said before any horror that involves religion just appeals to me for some reason. It's a pretty diverse series.

I have the Legion novel. It's been a while since I read it but I did find it just as enjoyable as reading the Exorcist. I have all three movies on video and I gotta say I only bought The Heretic out of sheer curiosity to see just how shit a cash-in sequel could be. Strangely I feel like watching it now... either that or Repossessed (90's spoof with Linda Blair & Leslie Neilson which I highly recommend).Speaking of spoofs, I finally got round to watchingSuperhero Movie. What a shitfest that was. I don't know if it's because it's mostly based around Spiderman (which I hate with a passion) or just the fact that... it's just shit! All I can say is it's a sad day when Leslie Neilson fails to be funny. :(
  8. Safe to say after my trip to Haven the other week I hate kids now more than ever before... even more so the parents who shout at their kids in public leaving you wondering why they bothered having 'em in the first place since they blatantly hate them.MAT your consultants sounds like a bitch. Request that she be your birthing partner then you can slap her about at random intervals and blame it on the pain and if you have a c-section well... just slap her anyway :D

  9. Been speaking to Micky L, Iain Robinson today and they were never paid and are still waiting to be paid both wages and expenses as agreed prior to them wrestling your show

This has actually been addressed post 445 on page 30 - " Lexx, Micky L and Ian are NOT owed any money to the best of my KNOWLEDGE, They agreed to work the show on a "Trial" basis, for FREE, I have said previously if they can prove I said otherwise, MSN conversation for example then I'll happy pay them but they were not in the records for people being paid . "I only post this as obviously its one of those misunderstandings that is unlikley to be sorted out any time soon, and it just seems to be a point that is going round in circles.
I think you'll find that wrestle-zone is correct. the "trial basis" is bullshit, as neither lad will drive all that way to be paid fuck all. I for one am so fucking tired of this shit and money is no longer the issue, I just refuse to stand by and let anyone call Micky or Iain a liar. And I didn't really appreciate the snidey fucking pm from Mel on the subject either. My only regret is that no convos were saved, because in our naivity we actually fucking trusted that they'd make good on an agreement. As far as I'm concerned Sprules & OPWO can go to hell, regardless of how unprofessional that statement may seem, but they are hardly professionals themselves now are they. The ultimate point here is that the three of us have learned from the mistake that was our involvement with such a backwater company. I hope for his own sake Sprules really has learned from the mistakes he made coz at the end of the day we are out there working hard and making sure the same doesn't happen to us again. If he wants this new promotion to work he has to pay EVERYONE, no excuses, no bullshit. And thank you, I really want to fly to the States in a shitter of a mood. Well done on that one.
