Lovely. Selective posting now. You must have missed my correction, because I'm not a liar:

Good to see we're now at the bit where you're resorting to 'Gotcha' now. Utterly boring mate.

They said PCW drew 3000 to their xmas party, and I'm being a Donnie Downer, and told me to jog on.

Can you ask Stephen Fludder for me what the issue is?

You're another one. Seriously, grow up. If you have a serious complaint about not receiving a product and are genuinely arsed, do something about it in the real world.

Good answer. See you after their next show when no doubt you'll have other false claims about how PCW are succeeding.

Yes, it is a good answer. Because it's the only answer. Stop complaining and actually do something about it.

And I don't make false claims. You're utterly delusional and can't be talked with rationally. I'm done with you.

I'd say it's less symptomatic of someone with no life and more symptomatic of someone who thinks they should get what they paid for and is maybe trying to get promotion's attention the only way they can, since the promotion is rude enough to block them from contacting in any other way.

I noticed throughout this entire back-and-forth argument but you haven't come up with a single possible viable reason for my PCW thinks it's acceptable to do this,  other than your pitiful attempt to placate it by saying "it's a real shame".  That you continue to advocate people pay money towards a company which shows such disregard  for people who have been customers should clearly tell us what type of person you are, for example.  Do you in fact have an opinion on the fact that PCW was accepting peoples money without any intention to deliver a product?  Serious question.

CG, I'm delighted that you and Fludder found love in a hopeless place. But if you're going to call those attempting to paint a clearer picture of what's happened when people have paid money to PCW expecting the product to be delivered "petty", then perhaps you should consider whether your own "heroic actions" coming to your favourite promotion's defence might be coming across as equally tedious.

I dip in and out of this thread. I like to post about a promotion I enjoy. I couldn't give a shit what tedious and childish insults you want to throw at me.

I just think constantly posting about not getting a DVD over and over and over again, to try to overshadow everything else going on with the promotion and to constantly dominate any chatter about the promotion is completely redundant and symptomatic of someone with no life.

If you're really arsed, contact Trading Standards. Here you go: https://www.tradingstandards.uk/consumers/support-advice

There. That's more productive than pages and pages and pages of the same topic.

Yeah guys, just roll over and let other people open themselves to potentially being treated poorly by a company with a track record of doing so with little to no remorse. Bloody hell, get over it eh? They sold out all their free shows! Can't you just be happy for them?

Does it need to be constant posts though? I admire your 'heroic actions' in wanting to 'warn others', but it's incredibly tedious. The vast majority of people who deal with PCW in some fashion are satisfied customers. If a promotion sucks, it stops drawing.

This seems like a personal petty vendetta by a handful of people on a messageboard, who seem disappointed that their moans and groans haven't sufficiently curtailed the promotion to their own liking. So they just constantly chat bad things about it to portray it a certain way, even if that way bears no resemblance to actual real life on-going successes.

And the free shows thing - they're 'paid shows'. It actually shows the promotion is capable of cutting business deals with real world people, out of the wrestling bubble. That deserves some respect at least. It's great for the fans, they get to see wrestling for virtually nothing. Great for the guys, who get regular dates and get paid. Great for the promotion, they get a flat fee and get to make money. It's hardly a thing to be mocked.

Reading would be your friend, we have a legit gripe over this and Fludder has ignored all messages and blocked people on twitter that have brought it up.

You have a gripe. Disrupting a promotion thread (on here AND on the F4W Board - I mean really, seriously edgehead?) with CONSTANT posts about a singular issue regarding a DVD you didn't receive is just ridiculous. Constantly posting about it isn't going to magically make the DVD appear. If the idea is to shut down any posts that are positive about PCW, regarding shows/matches, then that's not happening either. I honestly don't see what you're trying to achieve. Yeah it sucks. But not everyone has had a bad experience with the promotion. There's good and bad experiences with every business. Just cut your losses, move on, don't give a penny to PCW again and just be done with them. Let others who want to enjoy the product and do enjoy it just get on with it.

I got a ticket for the evening show 4 days before the event. There were over 100 left on the Guild Hall website, across nearly all seating blocks, at that time (you pick your actual seat from those available on an interactive map). They were also still available (unreserved seating) on the PCW website up to the day itself.

I'd agree there were over 1'000 people in there on the night (rough headcount), and the show itself was excellent,  but with the bit I've quoted above you are literally making things up...

I stand corrected. Hands up, honest mistake. It was the Blackpool Tower Circus show on June 17th that was sold out more than 2 weeks in advance. I got the two confused, my mistake.

That said, there was over 1000 people there on Saturday evening at Preston Guild Hall and I'm glad someone else other than me said the show was excellent.

I guess sending people stuff in the post when they pay you money for it is pretty fashionable these days.

I bet if you asked enough people you'd probably find something that upset someone about any of the 'fashionable' promotions I named.

It sucks that people bought something and never received it, but just a suggestion - perhaps continually moaning about it on a message board isn't the best way to go about getting the product you bought and/or a refund.

I went to the Friday Preston show and had a great time, but Evoque was half full and the shows were indeed free. I got there 15 minutes late and could still join 2nd row of standing. No way was that happening 4 years ago.

It's great that they're on the road but most of those venues are doing 100-200 people. Fludder himself jokes he makes no money on those shows.

The academy is providing solid undercard talent with fun gimmicks, so it's doing its job but that shouldn't be overblown as some overriding proof everything is fine. I loved The Hooligans against the Knight kids on Friday but I can't imagine them having a MOTY candidate Sunday - so the Hooligans either did something really really special with those two 17 year olds or there's some heavy PCW confirmation bias there. I know which I think it is.

"The guys who work the shows will tell you how great it is" is such a load of shit as well. Of course they will. The amount of wrestlers Fludder has fell out with, tells a different story though.

I have no axe to grind here, Fludder was perfectly nice to me and the people I was with on Friday. Doesn't mean there aren't things to critique about how he speaks to other fans and how the promotion is doing though.

The rest of Brit Wres is in a boom period as far as buzz goes. PCW feels like it's gone in the opposite direction, sadly. I do wish it wasn't the case, but on all available evidence, it is.

There was no show on Sunday. There were two shows on Saturday, afternoon and evening.

As far as shows on the road goes, it depends which shows you're referring to. They're a draw in Blackpool. They had over 1000 fans in Blackpool Tower Circus 9 days ago. They're returning to Blackpool on Aug 5th in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

It's a shame that you missed Saturday evening's show at Preston Guild Hall, as it was so much better than Friday evening's show. It was actually one of the best shows in PCW's history. There were 1200 fans there, a far from inconsiderable sum and deserves credit, regardless of how much tickets cost.

I really don't have to justify my own opinion but other people than myself thought the Saturday show and the matches on it were really good. Check out UKFF poster Big Benny HG's twitter at https://twitter.com/BritWresAwayDay if you think it's just me.

Regarding wrestlers who Fludder has fell out with - who are they? Name them. Are they good wrestlers? Are they draws? Are they valuable commodities? I see the same core group of wrestlers working for PCW all the time - Hayes, Kirby, Hope (yes, who he fell out with and reunited with), Lionheart, Sha Samuels, Iestyn Rees, Bubblegum, T-Bone, Allmark, Smith to name just the core guys. Many of have worked for Fludder for years. They all seem quite happy. You make out that Fludder is going through talent all the time and there's some sort of revolving door with angry wrestlers who he's 'fallen out with' storming out. It's laughable. PCW is - by and large - a happy ship. Just as happy as any of the other British promotions.

Let's not be wrestling snobs here. PCW is part of the British wrestling boom period. They run lots of shows all the time. They draw decent sized/good crowds. The crowds they draw are heated. Saturday evening's show was great and pretty universally acclaimed. You're doing yourself a disservice if you think otherwise. I loved Kris Travis and was privileged to be present for many of his great PCW matches including his FSM UK Match of the Year 2013 vs Chris Masters, and I can definitely say that the Bubblegum vs T-Bone cage match and the Allmark vs Smith 2 out of 3 falls match was just as good as the Travis vs Masters match - in my opinion.

As for the 17 year olds, Ricky Knight Jr was the name on many people's lips following the shows. He was terrific. There was a buzz about him. He's already been announced for the August 12th card. For someone who was originally not even on the card and was only going to be a one show stand-in, that's some going.

Creatively, maybe PCW over the past 6-12 months hasn't been what it was at it's peak, but it now has a new booker and the shows over the weekend made that pretty evident. It's disappointing when people can't give credit to a promotion when they put on some really great shows and have to resort to dated opinions and tired stereotypes.

The August 12th Sixth Anniversary show has Rees vs T-Bone vs Bubblegum for the PCW title, Allmark vs Jody Fleisch for the cruiserweight title, and UK Hooligans vs CCK

(so PCW Tag Team Champs vs PROGRESS Tag Champs, as things stand).

ClassicsGuy, you're such an embarrassing shill.

    What exactly am I shilling?

I have a different opinion to you. That doesn't mean I'm a shill. Honestly, you and anyone else using that term towards me is an embarrassment.

I get it; PCW isn't as 'fashionable' as the likes of PROGRESS, ICW, FIGHT CLUB PRO, ATTACK, etc.

Geez, point out the positives of a promotion that I happen to like and have never ever had a problem with and you get labelled all sorts.

I've been a UKFF member for nearly 15 years, nobody's going to run me off no matter how many not very nice names I get called or how much negative rep I keep being given.

Free Tickets and still wasnt a sell out.

There were 1200 people there. How many British promotions draw more than 1000 people? PCW did it two Saturdays in a row, regardless of how much the tickets cost. They were paid shows, everyone made money - the promotion, the wrestlers and the fans got to see wrestling for a £2 booking fee. WIN WIN WIN and nothing to be mocked. The fact the shows were underwritten by local councils shows the value of what the promotion brings.

It's really out of order, and I'm happy to hear the bloom is off the rose for this company.

They drew over 2000 fans combined for three shows over the past two days, including a major show last night at Preston Guild Hall.

They're now running shows in Preston, Blackpool, Wrexham, Liverpool, Manchester, Bradford and Stoke on a regular basis.

They've very smartly cultivated an agreement with Preston City Council and Blackpool City Council which actually sees said councils pay for shows to be held, as they realise the promotion brings fans into both cities from all over the north west and the country. How many other British promotions have had such a great partnership with the real world local authorities supporting them to this extent and essentially using taxpayers money to help put on wrestling shows, because it helps the local economy so much?

It's a promotion on an extremely sound financial footing, that spends within it's means, that has an economical model that works.

They celebrate their 6 year anniversary on August 12th, making them one of the older promotions in the country. Been around for a while and will likely stay around. Not some fly-by-night operation running an unsustainable company.

The show last night was amazing, the best in the promotion's 6 year history and featured three UK Match of the year candidates in Allmark vs Smith 2 out of 3 falls, Bubblgum vs T-Bone cage match, and UK Hooligans vs Ricky Knight Jr & PJ Knight.

They've also now got a pipeline of really good young talent coming through via the PCW Academy.

They're less reliant on imports than at any time in their history. The odd one or two may be featured, the bulk of the shows are built around British talent and young British talent at that. Friday's show had 5 members of the Knight family along with Xia Brookside on the show.

Vast vast vast majority of everyone who attends the shows and certainly the guys who work the shows will all tell you what a good company it is.

It's really unfortunate that a few people didn't get a particular DVD and the promotion's customer service probably could improve, in that respect. At the shows if you actually attend them, the merch team couldn't be more friendly or helpful.

That said, saying 'the bloom is off the rose for this company' is complete bullshit and couldn't be any further from the truth. Don't let over-blown personal experience of not receiving a DVD make you think otherwise and appear silly. They're more successful now than at any point in their history and are continuing to grow.

Yeah I've thought very little of her in NXT.  Reading forums and FSM she had a glowing reputation from a lot of people coming into NXT, and maybe fully deserved, I barley saw any of her indy work so can't comment.  But she has been so underwhelming in that gimmick.  Totally overplays the character.  She was grinning like fuck as soon as Asuka won which was odd to see.  A bit like the Bray Wyatt gimmick in that its all these odd actions on screen but none of them make sense, or have any meaning and motivation, or lead to anything.

She's supposed to be insane ('Sanity'), which is why she grinned when Asuka won.

  15. The situation sucked (through no fault of their own) but PCW could not have done any more to sweeten the situation for any fans unable to make tonight's show.

They even aired the show live for free on their Facebook page tonight.

Easy to dwell on the gripes but only fair to point out the very good things done.

  16. Jordan Devlin is frigging amazing. His main event match vs Trent Seven in Liverpool was incredible tonight. Devlin did a swanton bomb type dive to the outside and whacked his head on the concrete floor, head literally bounced off the floor. Really sickening bump. Major hardway blood all over the back of his head, yet he carried on for another 5-7 minutes and had a fantastic match. Seven won but crowd was so impressed by Devlin's guts that they went from booing and mocking him to loudly chanting his name and giving him a standing ovation at the end. One of the best matches I've seen live this year, and amazing to think that a few days ago he wasn't even on the card, as he replaced Galloway. The injury was such that I'm not sure he'll be wrestling the rest of the ICW dates this weekend though.

  17. PCW show in Blackpool Tower Circus on June 17th sold out this afternoon, all 500 tickets gone, 68 hours after they were made available. No matches or talent yet announced, for a show in 4 months time.

I look forward to people who don't attend this being OUTRAGED~! by the events of that show.

''It's what Trav would have wanted!!'' - Fludder logic. Pretty sure they ran an angle following Trav's comeback where Kris's illness was used in a storyline as well. Proper mark mentality stuff this. Fludder is a divvy, but hardly surprising given his track record.

You know what's 'proper mark mentality'? Being OUTRAGED~! over a show you didn't see, an ending or angle you didn't see, and perhaps the best - being OUTRAGED~! over something on someone else's behalf, especially if it's the person who actually agreed to do the angle BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO DO IT. "Whaddya mean you're not upset?! I'll be upset FOR YOU!"

Also they never 'used his illness' in a storyline. He attended multiple PCW shows at Evoque during his illness & recovery (most of the time he wasn't even booked to appear on the show), hanging backstage with the guys and making an occasional appearance before the fans. He came back from stomach cancer surgery and his first match back was in PCW. That Kris Travis must have really hated working for that unscrupulous bastard Fludder!!!

PS That was 3 paragraphs WWEChilli, I trust that you were counting. ;)

  18. This whole thing is a shambles. Why didn't he just agree to give the profits to the charity? Instead there is a shit feeling about this whole event.

The whole idea when this was first announced, back in November, was that they were renaming an existing tournament weekend in his honour, to remember him.

Nobody said a word or had a problem with this until 3 weeks ago when somebody on Facebook asked if the proceeds were going to Kris' family.

Fludder handled it badly. He said what he said, it came across really badly. He's not a bad person, he just really screwed up with his explanation.

What compounded it was that a couple of groups are actually running charity shows in Travis' honour in the next few weeks, to mark the first anniversary of Kris' death. It inadvertently made PCW look bad, when PCW's only intention ever was to pay tribute to Travis by renaming the tournament. Travis was a massive part of PCW, he's probably the biggest star in the promotion's history. And Travis loved PCW and regarded it as his home promotion.

It's not uncommon to rename something after someone has passed away as a mark of respect/honour, and not give a financial donation to their relatives every time you do so. It's just a nice thing to do, to remember someone by renaming something in their honour.

I think there was a big overreaction by a lot of people, not helped by the fact that some very vocal people don't like Fludder or PCW. I genuinely believe if this had been PROGRESS or REV-PRO, nothing would've been said. But then again, Smallman and Quildan probably would have been a lot smarter in their social media response.

  19. I don't get running free shows, surely that just loses money time and again? Bowler must be making more cash than him these days

As others have pointed out, they're 'sold shows'. It's actually described as a 'private show' on the Facebook listing. It also says that these are a big deal in some way but he can't disclose the reason at this time. Maybe something, maybe nothing.

He runs so many shows at this point that he must be turning a profit. He's clearly enjoying success given the number of shows he's running, averaging nearly 2 a month at this point.

  20. They've just posted what looks to be an updated poster on Facebook. Obviously no Pete, but no Pentagon either?

Not sure, they were advertising Pentagon on their email mailing list as late as yesterday. He is definitely in the country, as he wrestled Dunne in Portsmouth tonight.

Ryan Smile won't be on the shows either. He was probably getting a lift off Dunne from Birmingham but doesn't mention that in his tweets.

On a happier note, they've announced a free show at the Blackpool Tower Circus for June 17th, which is a decent coup as that's a very cool venue. Tickets are free but with a £2 booking fee. Over 300 of the 500 tickets have already been sold in the first 8 hours of going on sale, with no names announced, for a show in 4 months time.

He had to have known, unless he's an idiot. And to be as successful as he's been thus far, he's not an idiot.

Don't assume idiots can't be successful. Or successfully people can't be massive cunts too, while we are at it.

Cracking point. Given the way the world currently is, can't argue against that.
