Thanks for the quick response.  Have edited out my original post as I wouldn't want anyone picking up a negative opinion that isn't warranted!  Was just starting to worry a little after the bad luck I had with my first order.  Like I said - never had anything but positive experience dealing with you and PCW.  Even convinced a bunch of friends from all over the UK and Ireland to join me for the PCW/ROH weekend which can't come soon enough!

What are they like for seating there. If you buy a GA ticket are you gauranteed a seat or is it best to get there early? Just that my Mrs has a few health issues and I'd prefer it if she didn't have to stand around for 4 hours!

I have fond memories of the shows I attended back in the Morecambe Dome (2003-04). Hearing a building of 300 people, grandparents and all, chanting "you suck balls" at newcomer Leroy Kincade was priceless. I also remeber a friend of mine bringing a large cardboard penis to the show and thrusting it at poor Leroy's head while he writhed on the floor in pain. Wasn't his best day at the office. Corino and Cabana were highly amused at signing the afore mentioned cardboard cock

Try that. Haven't used the stuff in years but I'm sure that was it. Just burn it to a blank CD at the slowest speed possible and you're done!

 

Also, depending on where your moral compass lies - once you've got that, you can burn all other copied games to a cd and just boot them - no chip required. Some copies were even patched to boot without the loader cd. Such a shame that the system was so easy to pirate as it can't have helped software sales

I've read that Aries' title reign is supposed to be pretty good, but to me putting the belt on a former champs is a step backwards - it says "we havn't built up anyone else to carry belt" too much.

 

It was always inevitable though. "Who will be the first 2 time champion?" has always been a story underpinning all former world title holders in the company for years now. I asssume it would hvae been done under a more interesting story if Gabe was still booking, but it was always bound to happen

Very small, quiet little place. Small setup but a packed house - I could barely see an empty seat. It was a fairly nice and clean venue with plenty of food and booze being served. The clincher was the crowd though. They were just there to have fun and fun was had by all. Rhett Titus singing his theme tune was hilarious

 

I just hope the "inside joke" doesn't make the DVD confusing. If they got a shot of the sign later in the show and slot it back in near the start it'll make a lot more sense. It wasn't a thing with the crowd just chanting crap, the wrestlers really played into it with Dragon, Tyler and Lynn having a lot of fun. Lynn actually closed the show by saying that his snapmares were his birthday present to us (he turned 46 on Friday)

 

Some interesting ROH news, the recent Canada doubleshot will be released as a single DVD with the best matches from both nights. The basic idea seems that one stacked DVD is more cost-effective than producing 2 lesser runs of shows which might not sell as well. There's an interesting debate about it going on right now in todays newswire thread on the ROH board. I know we only have a small ROH community here but what do you guys think?

 

Interesting idea for a test run I think. The number of die hard ROH fans who collect every show are dropping off one by one. I know I stopped at the end of FYF and some of the guys that were over there with me this week are slowly doing the same. I know if I did collect still it would be a lot more attractive buying one stacked show and losing a couple of nothing matches now that they use so many students and are testing quite a lot of random indy guys out

 

I really hope ROH can find a business model that works. I met with about 40-50 awesome ROH fans again that I met in Orlando and I'd hate to think that if ROH went out of business, we'd have no reason to do these things anymore

I was at 3 of those and can highly reccomend the 2 Orlando shows and Final Battle.

 

Just got back from NYC today as well. This weekends shows weren't in the league of the 3 above but they were fun live shows. Not sure how it'll translate to DVD though. SNAPMARE!!!

I am totally gay for Nigel McGuinness in a live match atmosphere. I'll be devestated if he's not back when I go to the Manassas/NYC double shot

anyhow i just watched saturdays show and i werent overtly impressed that weird 4 fall 6 man match was just a disaster zone.

 

Am I reading this wrong? It makes it sound like you've seen the show from NYC? Do you have some insane hookup on ROH masters?

Real shame about Nigel but this has obviously being building for a while. At the after show party for Final Battle 2008 he was holding his arm up by his chest as if it was in a sling and he was having to shake with this left hand. He looked like it was killing him.

 

In situations like this I wish Gabe was still around. He would take this whole situaiton where you know he'll probably lose in Houston and turn it on it's head to fuck with your mind, doing something that nobody predicted.

I used to download wrestling from a forum but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called but here's what I can remember:

 

- The layout featured a red background

- Most files were uploaded on megaupload/rapidhsare

- Mainly concentrated on ROH/Japan/Indys but also gave the latest TNA/WWE releases each week

Wrong on both accounts I'm afraid. This was leaked yesterday for the first time and allows you to play downloaded ISOS, burnt to a DVD-R on an un-modded Wii.Also, because it's a software mod, it does not void your warranty and can be removed whenever required.

To any Wii owners out there, there is now a method to play downloaded ISO's on burnt DVD's without chipping your Wii - it's just a software mod. Still to this day - 15 months after buying it - I still play Mario Strikers Charged more than any other game. It initially just seems like a fun arcade-style football game with some good mechanics and fun items, but the moment you realise the options that "tricking" opens up you see that this is one of the most diverse multiplayer sports games ever. Online is filled with a variety of players ranging from shooters to tricksters - I sit somewhere comfortably inbetween so can adapt my game to take on most opponents. I'd say I win around 80-90% of online matches. There's still enough people playing too - you never wait more than a minute for a 1v1 match.
