  1. It's like he's Googled how to interesting and charismatic,

And focused on weird ways to present, and dress ridiculously.

He is no David Lee Roth.

  2. Reading a wrestling news site earlier, regarding Dutch mantel's comments regarding his stance on Bron Breakker being a poor man's Goldberg.

Someone made the point that even the spear has become an over used and devalued move for the most part, when someone raised the point that as a former football player, it makes sense for bron over most. But perhaps he could find a way to make it his own.

I like breakker and think he's got time to find or make up for those missing pieces cited by martel.

It got me thinking people currently over contact who lack momentum or  reinvention, any ideas of what they could be.

For me I look at corbin, he's not everyones cup of tea, but a new look, and character direction could make a go, although I'm not sure what else they haven't tried for him.

  3. I'm always a big believer when someone like Becky winning in lieu of no one currently better, or someone who could make the most of the opportunity. Priest had the MITB opportunity, he won the belt and I'm constantly having to remind myself about it when thinking who has the new big gold. I'm really hoping big things come off the back of that for him. Being a former champion use to mean something but as Jinder shows, people also remember how you won and how your reign went.

  4. Knight is someone I'd love to see have a stint at a world title, I'm not even a massive fan or anything - he's just a throw back to the attitude era, in the way he reminds me of the kind of CAW you'd make on the early smackdown! Games or even wwf attitude. He would probably be called Johnny McBaddAss, his finisher is the stunner and every signeture move is a late 90s WWE main event finisher.

Dx shirt, white boots. Dog tags, sunglasses, weight lighting belt, bandana, Bret Hart tights.

Super kick into a tombstone to set up the people's elbow, before hitting the liontamer, and then releasing it to hit repetitive stunners, and then a 2 hour promo before you beat "my time" HHH for all the belts. Even the womens.

Just catching up on Raw properly, and I think Sheamus might be on my list of favourite wrestlers - were I ever to sit and make a list.

So glad to have him back.

I think he's one of the best long standing main event WWE style wrestlers they have. I think because he's been there for so long, and his slightly caricature appearance, he gets overlooked than say an Orton.

I occasionally remember his PPV match against big show, everyone in the room got up to make a drink, toliet break etc but by the end of it we were all enthralled. Like his matches with cesaro or gunther prove, he can still step it up when he wants.

  6. Naturally he's going to go against the grain on the character currently in the biggest story in wrestling currently, just to gain some interest. But we won't accept any anti cody statement this close to mania. He's winning that belt or we'll riot... Well not riot, but we'll stop watching.. Well not completely... Anyway shut up dlo!

  7. I always kind of just took "The American Nightmare" as Cody just being his own man, and being an irrepressible "nightmare" to opponents on the indies. But more of a rejecting the way his father was treated in a way. But when he joined WWE he kinda just be came Total Divas John Cena with a dead dad.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a fan, I just think now it's become a cool name (that others, lik his brother had first). But it's not really anything beyond that, just kinda "I'm doing it my way" and he has. I mean even finishing the story was getting the belt his dad never got. I wonder where it'll go once he's got it.

I absolutely loved his feud with Randy Orton over the belt, and the matches have aged so well. His AEW run really shows what WWE missed out on, based on weird hang-ups from Vince McMahon. He’s far better than Edge, and I say that as someone who is a massive Edge fan. He should have been more than he was in WWE.

Agreed. I also felt he was the better of the two, and his "Christiaaaaaaaaan" music alone (but not limited to)  for me lends him to a greater consideration to what could have been.

Wasn't the problem with Sid that he just wanted to be a heel, and not the main blue-eye of the company?

Yeah I remember when offered hogan's boots and spots according to Bruce Pritchard, he instead said he wanted to be a heel. The general consensus being he didn't want the top spot or responsibility that went along with it. He'd rather have freedom or a suspect injury whenever softball season came round.

He's someone who could have done more. Didn't want to. But I'm always suprised he never had another crack at a run, or a HoF nod.

  10. Yeah, SID is someone I don't feel "gets his flowers" often enough. Multiple times world champion, wrestlemania main event. Surely HoF worthy, but you often hear stories of his convenient softball season injuries when offered hogan's literal boots.

  11. I think another one for me, was Christian. At the point before his TNA debut, that his smackdown! Arrival really had a upward shift in momentum, perhaps not yes! Movement scale, be certainly a lot more stream behind him in terms of fan support. Years later, even after the bait and switch of the Jeff hardy mystery attack, to WWECW champion, he had a WHC run that just kind of felt "edge's mate" than his own man to start with.

  12. Reading an interview about TAFKA Elias, made me think. I was a fan of his from his NXT days starting as The Drifter, thought he had a huge upside, and genuinely thought he was going to have a solid crack at it on the main roster. And he did, for a decent time, fake brother storyline I thought was great, but it never got it's satisfying pay off.

He's definitely someone I thought could have been a main stay, even potentially a run in the main event, or potentially at least an "other" world title run. But it was never to be, subjective as taste is he was always someone I thought could have done more, albeit not everyone does.

Maybe he'll make a run else where, or "do a drew/cody" and make his mark elsewhere before returning.

I just wondered who else people may have thought was a good fit for more.

  13. I think that's Seth's issue, not that everyone needs a one line explanation - but I can't answer "what is a Seth" Freakin' " Rollins?".

Just an early DDP "even my gimmicks have gimmicks!" Joker "inspired" indy moves CAW. In ring, he's not my taste, he's talented.. But he's just... Ya know... A bit "meh".

Weirdly it was only in the last couple of weeks I've heard people say he's delivered "the promo of his life" to now he's  regressed. I mean saying he's now medically cleared to wrestle, whilst keeping the belt, is hardly the stuff of baby face fuel - but he just shouts.

He's quirky for the sake of quirky, and just does stuff for the sake of it. Especially when paired next to the out of ring less is more, reserved Cody it's just weird to see. Reminds of who ever said it, but "shouting isn't charisma".

WM every ten years has someone deserving win the big one, So I would be SHOCKED if Cody doesn't win. Mania 10, 20, 30 and.....???

    Here's hoping.

Hundred percent, I've said this before, they always do it on the tens... But after their penchant for disappointment for supposed long term pay off as of late, I can't let me my heart be too open again.

  15. After last year betraying the feeling of "It's this guys time" ala Batista, Benoit, Austin et al - I really want Cody to win. But they've created so many variables to make me think they might dangle the carrot, and then replace it with absolute disappointment. Which weirdly has me and most of the people I know, even the most lapsed fan engage and care.

Its less the tag teams and more the racism, sexism, beating up women and all that lark.

Yeah it's aged like a fine Mayo
