  1. Yeah for a fan project that looks brilliant. Berserk is the best manga of all time for me, and the art throughout the volumes is phenomenal.

Just getting round to giving the Jujutsu Kaisen anime a whirl.

  2. Yeah Opetaia-Briedis had some good moments but was largely underwhelming,  they were always going to be a bit cagey with each other though considering how brutal their first bout was, and 100% Briedis can still go, commentary was half writing him off before the first bell aswell, I hate boxing commentary sometimes.

    Cacace performance was great.

Yup fairpplay to Kabayel, and another entertaining performance from him, certainly making the most of things, and gave 2 very good accounts of himself in quick succession, hes gone from a man no one was taking any heed of really to being a fighter people will tune in to watch.

Cracking shot from Chamberlain, and a very likeable chap.

Hopefully Tyson keeps Big John away from camp for the rematch, having all that noise in the corner in an undisputed heavyweight title fight is just absurd, talking over Sugar Hill, just mad stuff that is, sabotaging the fight, and lots of amateur Gyms will give parents a stern warning at best and at the worst kick them out if they try and get too involved when a trainer is doing his business, it was like a circus in there at times. Other than that in general Tyson gave Usyk a very good fight, but Usyk is just quality and his quality shined through and got him the victory.

  3. I'm a pretty big fan of 'Taker, he is probably one of, if not my favourite wrestler of all time, but he also comes across to me like one of those people who could only behave a certain way amongst certain crowds and circles, and for 'Taker that was the world of pro wrestling.

  4. What a performance from usyk. Cool, calm, composed and simply brilliant.

Tyson had some great moments and looked like he could really stamp some authority and run away with it, but usyk wasn't having a bar of it. And anyway, tyson just didn't capitalise on the good work he done

Brilliant from usyk from the get go, held his shape all night

  5. Just now, TheScarlettChad said:

She's always been false and forced. She was hot in 2019, but eventually i think anyway, people began to see that her gimmick that made her hot with the bloody nose etc, wasn't really her. She can't pull off the Stone Cold act.

Yeah she definitely can't, can't get into anything she does at all.

  6. Rained off from work so watching a full RAW for once instead of YT clips. Anyone else think Becky Lynch is just the most awful promo?

Nothing she says flows, she hasn't got any conviction and everything about her just seems a bit false and forced, found her segment Michael Cole a really hard watch, improving a little bit when Liv came out.

  7. Yeah you're not wrong there, I'm very much looking forward to it, the buzz and anticipation on fight week of what might happen in the ring is something I always love, but whatever happens, its a significant history making fight isn't it.

And yes it would he a terrible shame and not a good look at all if this was another one that didn't come to pass.

  8. This will light a fire under Usyk for sure.

    What a turnout.

Fury will be 100% ready for this fight though. Will it be a cracker? Probably not. Usyk has everything you could possibly want in a fighter, the way he manipulates people into fighting in positions they aren't comfortable with is amazing, but can he overcome the physical advantages Tyson has?

Boxing is a thinking man's sport and it's not about being built like he man and hurling barbells about but physical advantages, especially natural physical advantages, not a man who has pumped himself up to a certain weight can potentially cause all sorts of problems.

Usyk hopefully comes out gunning for the cut and Tyson comes out trying to hone in on the body and we get a great fight, but I just can't see this one catching fire tbh, would love to be wrong though. Potentially lots of mauling and tying up from Tyson who won't want Usyk to get into any sort of rhythm.

  9. I was as shocked as Inoue when he went down in round 1, great shot by Nery, who himself met the canvas In the second round, what a fight that was, lovely bank holiday treat on a rainy day and what a crowd, 55 thousand strong from the get go!

Nery take a bow, went out on his shield, he got a bit sloppy with his swings but his heart never showed any signs of being in doubt.

  10. Yes the Mexico scene would definitely be surrounded with skullduggery, I read a little while back a Mexican wrestler busted with drugs in his gym bag in the locker room, drugs to sell not take, i forget the name though, but yeah the cartel stuff over there is embedded in society

As for the five families like another poster mentioned the match fixing element is severely diminished with pro wrestling, but I've read of some real  liberties being taken by promoters and those involved behind the scenes in the territories era, and of course you've got guys like Johnny K9 who has been on some serious charges in his time and involved in crime at a very heavy level

Wrestling is such a character laden industry that at times is quite shocking in many ways that you wouldn't be surprised to learn someone was at it in some way, and you're obviously going to have guys who know people in certain circles through the sale of steroids and or course recreationals.

I'll dig out some old books at some stage, there's a few names of wrestlers dotted about who used to be enforcers for certain firms but until then grappling with history has some good reads on some characters from East london, but its further back than the Soho scene and Bert assatari its about the 1880s and 90s

  11. 2KW that's a blast from the past

The risk of injury there is through the roof but it can't be denied for a mob of friends in a New York playground there is some serious talent in there and the bumps they took were very good.

I'm sure some of that lot ended up in the Indies
