  1. Not sure if it is of interest to anyone here but someone has uploaded an official full PDF guide for the game. Obviously if you want to use it for the missions and stuff you can but it is also useful as it explains a bit more of the mechanics which might not be explained properly in the game. So for example, if you check out page 72 of the PDF (Page 143 of the guide) then it explains a bit more on the camp donations and what benefit that has as you were discussing above.

  2. Also take into consideration that if you do find yourself struggling for space after a while, with the Xbox at least (I'm sure the PS4 is probably the same) you can expand it with a USB hard drive. I have a 2TB HD connected to my Xbox One and all my games and saves etc are stored on there without any issues - the internal memory isn't used at all

  3. All this talk about Kodi and football and film streams has got me interested. I've never really looked into it before but have read through most of this thread so have a basic understanding.

Whats the best way to get started? Obviously I need an android player but is it best to buy a Amazon Fire TV box (as I read the sticks don't have the processing power) or is there another box people would recommend?

Is it then just a case of following some of the guides above and on YouTube to get Kodi onto it and then get the various add ons?

I would only be looking to use it for football/UFC streams and possibly films but already have Netflix and Amazon Prime subs and they are both viewable on my TV through my Xbox One so not sure if a Amazon Fire Box is more than I need (as I wouldn't use Prime, iPlayer or anything like that through it)

  4. Looks like the previous owner didn't unhome the console when he/she sold it so I have access to the games so long as the previous owner doesn't set a new console as the home system.

    That's pretty much the reason.

For example, I have my Xbox One set as my mates home console - this way, any game he buys on his Xbox One, also becomes available for me to download and play providing he keeps my xbox set as his home console. It works out a good way of sharing the costs or my mate effectively letting me try a game if I'm not too sure if it's my thing.

  5. What was the significance of him finding the carved Reindeer?

He's aware the little girl is dead, but people seem to be suggesting he now knows the real truth.

    Have I missed something?

He wasn't at the battle site when Shireen was killed (he'd been sent back to Castle Black) but on his return found out that she died but had no idea she was murdered - I'm guessing he presumed that she had died in battle or something. He gave her the carved stag as a gift  for helping him learn to read. Finding the burned stag makes him realise that Shireen was probably burnt with the stag especially knowing how Melisandre likes fire, using kings blood for magic and sacrificing people.

He also probably realises that for that to have happened, Stannis would have had to approve it all so it may have also tainted his view on him as well.

  6. Aye, Dazzlers spot on there! There's cunts doing crossfit 6 days a week which is far, far too much and will have you losing more muscle than you gain and leave you wide open to injuries and exhaustion, which lead to your nervous system becoming goosed.

Just to chime in here - I train in Crossfit 5/6 times a week and although I'm not even at the level of these guys I've never suffered any injuries. The guys and girls at the top of the Crossfit chain, train multiple times a day in "Crossfit style" workouts and again, in general, don't suffer any long term, severe injuries.

As with everything, if you over do it and train in an unintelligent fashion then you are bound to get injured. I don't think it can be put down purely to Crossfit or Crossfit style workouts it's probably just not training sensibly. If you follow a good, structured program you aren't doing heavy lifts every day of the week and are working all muscles of the body evenly.

Crossfit gets a bad rep but in reality it is just a form of strength and conditioning program. If the program is poor or the athelte doesn't listen then that's why injuries occur - it can't be purely down to "Crossfit".

  7. Fallout is just too big for me to get involved with. To my shame, I have never properly got back in to Witcher 3 for the same reasons - it's just too daunting and there's too much.

I don't have that kind of time for gaming these days. Although I am playing through the Telltale Game of Thrones game at the minute and Super Meat Boy again because I never got around to finishing it before, I am itching for a proper game to play.

Any recommendations? Anything good coming up soon? Is the new Halo any good?

What about the new Tomb Raider game? That seems to be getting good reviews across the board and should fit your criteria of being a proper game but without being too large. From early reports the main game takes about 15-20 hours to complete and if you want to do all side quests and 100% it then that will take a total of 30-40 hours.

  8. OH really? I thought the backwards compatibility patch hadn't even been released yet and was only due in early November..?

Is there a list of the compatible games? More specifically, will I be able to play Super Street Fighter IV on the Xbone?

Also when I started it again on the 360 it asked me whether I wanted to save to harddrive or cloud and I picked hard drive. Any idea how I transfer to cloud without losing my progress?

Oh shit, sorry, my bad. I'm part of the preview program so had it already and thought it had already been rolled out for everyone. Sorry man.

There are a few lists if you google it but doesn't look like SSFIV is backwards compatible initially- sorry!

Here is a link on how to copy game saves to the Cloud:

  9. I have stuck my 360 in the living room next to the Xbone, and have started playing through Super Meat Boy again from the beginning. I loved that game and never got around to finishing it so maybe this time....

Also playing the Telltale point and click Game of Thrones game. It's fun! The decisions don't feel as difficult as in the Walking Dead game, but it is still pretty tense, and it's great to be in that world whilst waiting for the next series. My wife loves watching it as well which is a win as it's fun for both of us. Does mean I can't continue playing it when she's not about though

Super Meat Boy is one of the backwards compatible games so you can actually play the 360 version on your Xbone if you wanted. If the save is on the cloud it should actually transfer over as well.

Not sure where you are in GOT but the decisions do get harder as you go. The last episode in the series is due to be released next month so you've timed it well as you shouldn't have any wait between episodes meaning you can basically play it start to finish without a break.

  10. have you downloaded unblock us and tried it?

Yeah I have unblock us and it works through laptop and Xbox360 its just that it doesnt work through the Xbox One. Pretty weird.

Ah my bad. Was a problem with my unblock us but its all working now. As I say, I changed my location to US to download the app, changed it back to the UK and then using unblock US and changing my DNS settings have got it working on my xbox one

  11. I see WWE Network is now on Xbox One

Anybody had experience with getting US apps onto Xbox One?

If you change your location in the setting to the USA it will let you download it. You can then switch it back to UK and still access it however, no matter what happens I can't seem to watch anything on it.

Anyone managed to get it working on Xbox One?

  12. Wondering if anyone can give me details of how online works or what I am doing wrong.

Me and a mate finally managed to get online last night, completed all the tutorial missions and then joined each others game. Now I was expecting online to be similar to the main story mode except with the ability to have friends or your crew join in with the missions (similar to the first initial drug run mission in the tutorial). Once we were online though, all the missions (even the mission "stars") seemed to be last man standing, deathmatch, team death match or races against other people, yet there was no story type mission. Am I looking at this the wrong way or have I misunderstood what the online mode is all about?

Also, if you were just to enter online as a friends only mode, how would online work as if all the missions are against other people you'd basically just be racing against and killing your crew members?

Just a bit confused by it all really!

  13. GTA Online is available now on Xbox. Not played it myself but initial reports seem to be pretty positive but with a few people saying there is some texture pop up.

  14. Anyone know if Harry Potter was shot in 3D or is a conversion? if it was shot in 3D then I'll give it a go otherwise its pointless.

Watched the new Blu Ray of Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse. Hadn't seen it before. It comes close to being a classic Slasher but unfortunately only manages mildly entertaining.

I think it was filmed normally and converted to 3D. I've also heard from everyone that has seen it that the 3D is pretty bad and adds nothing to the film at all.
