  1. Regarding The Righteous Gemstones, ‘There’ll Come A Payday’ has been rattling around in my head ever since Uncle Baby Billy graced our screens with it.

Rick Astley and Blossoms doing The Smiths (please take this on tour and make Morrissey even more pissed off)

Surprisingly Morrissey is a fan of it, it’s actually Marr who has the hump about it.

They’ve actually just finished touring it but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another after watching that set. Looked tonnes of fun.

  3. We’ve started Mad Men and whilst I’m quite happy with slow burners, we’re about 10 episodes in and just nothing has happened. Is this one of those you have to give some time to before it clicks? Or if we’re not feeling it yet is it not going to happen?

  4. The ending of the film adaption of The Mist is one of the bleakest things I’ve ever watched. It’s great and wipes the floor with the ending of the short story. I think King himself agreed it’s the greater ending.

  5. I’ve been to mostly good stag do’s both here and abroad including beer festivals, healthy pranks that don’t push too many boundaries and actual fun and creative drinking games.

The one bad one I’ve been to is for probably the most mild mannered friend I have in which he got his (at the time) 18 year old brother to be his best man. Bad enough that he was on his first proper legal holiday away from the parents so of course he picked Magaluf.

Even worse was that it happened to be on my birthday weekend (somewhere in my late twenties).

So not only were the majority of us way too old for the Magaluf strip in June in amongst the puking teenagers but one particular participant of the group (who I never liked) decided that as of midnight on my birthday I was to be subjected to all the attacks and challenges that the stag was for 24 hours.

As someone who has no intention of ever getting married for several reasons including the whole stag thing I still resent that this happened because I happened to be born on a day that fell during this other poor saps stag do.

And I couldn’t sit down for days.

  6. It's my partner's birthday next weekend and given current affairs it's not shaping up to be too lively. Also, up until this week we have both been furloughed for the past 8 weeks, so have done our fair share of drinking, watching films and listening to music so I wanted to come up with a few things that will stop it feeling like just another day.

With that in mind, I was wondering if anybody could suggest any fun and relatively easy to understand after a couple of drinks two player board games please?

    Thanks in advance.

Those andrex ads with the annoying children. I'm as clean as a spoon in a circus.

I can't stand it, and it sets a bad president that society considers such idiotic nonsense from children as not only tolerated but encouraged.

  8. I had to throw my boxers out of a window once. Was staying in Manchester with a few mates and managed a little shart in the cab back to the hotel after a particularly boozy one. Somehow nobody seemed to notice and I slipped off straight away as the others went to the bar in order to check out the damage. It wasn't too bad really but I didn't want to leave any incriminating evidence in the bin or bathroom or whatever, so the window was the logical option.

What I wasn't aware of was the car park was right below our window, so somebody had a nasty shock on their windscreen the next morning.

Of course, I didn't have the excuse of being in the 7-10 age range, sadly more like 24. As such, this is the first time I've mentioned the incident in any way whatsoever.

New boxers they were, as well.
