I have Wembley tickets for the 25th, will be my 3rd time seeing The Boss at Wembley and 4th overall.

Going with my Dad and hoping to stay near St John’s Wood.

Where did you get your tickets from for the 25th? On the Ticketmaster app it says its on general sale but doesn't then move onto the ticket selection page.

Edgware? Probably been easy to have gotten a coach via Birmingham!

Well done, I’ve seen him twice and I’m content after seeing these prices. I was out with 2 Uber Bruce fans on Friday and he was complaining at the £175 they had paid for pit/golden circle entry.

My thinking is to get on the Jubilee line to Canons Park and then it's a 20 minute walk to the hotel.

I'm in section 123, but if I chose 126 then tickets were over £400!

  3. Ticket booked for Wembley on the 27th of July. £250 for the ticket. Could have paid more to get closer, but felt that was what I was comfortable paying. Hotel booked in Edgware. Closest and cheapest I could get.

Excited and nervous for the gig, especially after breaking my ankle leaving the Edinburgh gig.

  4. Has anyone been tempted by the ads on Facebook? Have you ordered anything, and have you actually received it?

Last week there was a series of ads selling handheld devices at about £30 depending on what memory card option you selected. Incredibly tempting considering they are £100 plus on other websites. Does anyone actually fall for them?

Stupid question but been a while..  if I buy it on Fite can I start it anytime?

If I remember correctly. Not had Fite TV for a while now but if you try and pick it up mid show the feed will be live, so if you want to watch it from the start then wait until after it's finished.

  6. Not verbatim but I remember watching an interview where one of his opponents talked about adding something into the match near the end. Hogans response was along the lines of "why would you want to do that, you've already got their money, brother." Which is very true.

People pay to see the spectacle of Hogan live for the entrance, the hulking up and the posing at the end. He very rarely deviated from the same formula.

I think over time people have got frustrated with him winning so many of his matches. Over the years more and more people have got wise to the business to the point that winning the match isn't the be all and end all. I wonder how many of his matches might have been looked upon in a more favourable light if he was just willing to take the L. Against Sting, anyone?

In closing, no he isn't technically gifted but he uses the basic, prey on the emotion of the crowd to the fullest. Does he suck at wrestling? Now we know the business for what it really is, no-one makes that much money and stays in the business for as long as he has by "sucking at wrestling". Wrestling is a business, not a sport.

  7. Maybe he's finally twigged that using the ticket sales for a future show to fund his current one isn't such a great business model after all?! Who knew?!! Has he successfully run any business? I've heard stories of people being conned out of their money when he was advertising the sale of miniature arcade cabinets! McGuinness always had it right. The first thing he does when he gets to the venue is locate the promoter and make sure both he and his opponent get paid in full.

  8. I've just ordered an N64 from CEX. As well as the console, I've ordered Goldeneye, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire, WWF NO Mercy and WCW Vs. NWO: Revenge. That last one I accidently ordered instead of World Tour.

I need recommendations as to what other games I should be looking out for? Is the expansion Pak worth buying?

  9. Managed to get forth row tickets for Roger Waters next year in Manchester. Not sure what to make of the advertising though, his FIRST retirement tour! Glad I'm going especially as I'm off to see the Australian Pink Floyd in Sheffield next month. Just need David Gilmour to announce another tour and I'll be a happy man.

  10. Saw Counting Crows at the O2 Academy in Sheffield last night. Really enjoyed it but slowly coming to the conclusion that I'm getting too old for standing at a gig. Got there for doors at 7pm and got out at about 11pm. After 4 hours my legs were aching!

Not sure if anyone on here has seen them before but early on in the show, Adams performance was almost bordering on the theatrical to the point where he and the crowd were out of sync at times when it came to the sing along songs such as Mr Jones.

He did say that he ate Indian food after the sound check and felt that was a bad idea having it just before having to go onstage to sing. Other than that, really enjoyed the show and was a nice gesture when Adam Duritz personally came out to introduce the support act and then watch the first couple of songs from the side of the stage.

How did everyone do in the pre-sale today? I got 4 tickets for Murrayfield for myself, my wife and the in-laws.

I got 2 in the Badlands presale. Block E10. Had a quick look to see if there was anything better but all seemed to be towards the back. Might have another look tomorrow when they go on general sale. Where are you located?
