I've never understood why Anthem/TNA haven't invested in a modern day Impact Zone/Asylum. Somewhere to tape their TV that would look great and can go on the road for their big PPVs. Those Las Vegas shows they just did looked great, but I see they're already going back to the old ECW arena.

As great as that would be, they didn't make any money from tickets.

They'd need it to be near a tourist attraction to get enough people.

  2. Love thst he actually made it to 79, and still did what he loved for the vast majority of his life. RIP.

I mainly remember him from some an earlier WCW VHS, and the chainsaw Charlie and the commissioner on WCW(Worldwide was hard to follow) run when I was a kid, as well as the death match with foley in japan.

I love that he was an NWA champ when it really meant something and then had runs everywhere, became a legend in promotions here and in Japan. He may not be a mainstream superstar like Hogan, but he's among the greatest to ever lace the boots.

  3. Yeah Impact had potential but the lack of moves was ridiculous.

However  the scans they did of the wrestlers did result in fantastic character models... except they were all the same height, WCW Mayhem style

Just a thought I had. There's too much flippy shit in AEW and now they have a pretty decent number of big lads they need to basically turn the TNT title into the unofficial meaty men slapping meat hoss division:

Wardlow, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, Lance Archer, Miro, W.Morrissey, Luchasaurus, The Butcher, Keith Lee, Brody King, JD Drake, Nick Comoroto...that's a hell of a big nasty bastards division they've got there.

Yep, I am all for a decent run of this... get a big guy established near the top of the card off the back of it.

Changed days that today's headliners in AEW would have been cruisers in the 90s, and the beasts are firmly in the mid card. Not a complaint, just an observation.

  5. I fully understand the sentiment from Loki here, and 100% agreed until I realised Ryan had admitted it and tried joking about it.

The guy should be working no where near vulnerable people as a precaution, even if he isn't convicted of anything. You'd have to be mad to disagree on that.

And the Jimmy havoc example, I'm not even sure if I heard the story about him  but the further away from my TV the better.

  6. As absolutely gutting as angles last match being that one with corbin, I don't want to see a noodle armed Angle in the ring

Tony Khan probably does love the coke... certainly looks wired in a lot of videos. Not on the level of boxing promoter Kalle Sauerland, like. If you want to see someone off their tits go watch some interviews with him

I’m completely sure that the “Innocent Until Proven Guilty” brigade extend that courtesy to accusers and never go along with “They’re making it up” if they haven’t been convicted of making a false claim because that would be rampant hypocritical misogyny.

It's a double edged sword. I think this guy is guilty and a piece of shit, but an accusation against someone shouldn't automatically ruin their lives.

Should he be working at Disney? Nah mate.
