Superbrawl 2000 is basically my guilty pleasure rewatch, all 11(!) matches are complete shite but all are shite for different reasons. Highlights include 3 Count getting twatted by Norman Smiley, James Brown showing up for Ernest Miller's farce with The Maestro, Flair and Funk trying to recreate their 1989 Texas Death match at a quarter of the speed and intensity and Tank Abbott pulling a knife on Big Al.
But fuck me, it's entertaining shite.

Where did this fit in exactly? Clearly not a tribute show but very much influenced by WWF at the time.

Heads up this Friday that if you're watching Dynamite via ITV, it's on ITV1 at 11:40pm which is the first time it's been first run on their main channel, moved due to darts coverage on ITV4.

Uploaded by our own John Lister, one of the many matches these 2 had on TV but none were ever the same.
Features a dropkick Bob Holly could only dream of.

CyanogenMod has been now become LineageOS, plenty of installation walkthroughs in the usual places like XDA Developers.

It's the wrestling equivalent of American candy stores...
-
Any info on this at all? At face value it seems like a weird parody of American style wrestling in the early 90s without the usual tribute acts.

Wolfie looking the business there, 3 150+ finishes. Only just warming up mind...

In the middle of building a set up similar to a Raspberry Pi based one but using a generic Android TV box instead. Using EmuElec as the front end from a SD card, consoles are fine but some of the old micros are a slog to get working, the Amiga especially.

As reported by our own John Lister, ITV will finally begin screening AEW Rampage in January, Tuesday nights on ITV4 with a Thursday night repeat on ITV.
Â
Still on a delay but at least we get both shows for free.

Any word at all about Rampage on UK TV? Thinking more and more it will be a Fite exclusive here.

Best one I can think of is the Uncensored 99 cage match with Hogan and Flair, top of the cage lined with razor wire.

Had a check on TV Guide to see how ITV4 are handling the move in the states to Friday night due to the NBA playoffs.
Countdown to DoN will be on Saturday Night at 10.50pm.
The go home edition of Dynamite won't be shown until 3 days after the PPV, Wednesday 2nd of June at 11pm.

AEW Dynamite To Air On A Friday In May Due To NBA Playoffs
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the final episode of AEW Dynamite before the Double or Nothing PPV, originally scheduled for May 26, will be moved due to the NBA Playoffs. The new timeslot will be May 28, a Friday, at 10 PM ET. The plan is to go live from 8 PM to to midnight at Daily’s Place, with two hours of Dark being taped before Dynamite with a live crowd.
Dynamite will also be pre-empted on June 2 and will go live on either June 4 (Friday) or June 5 (Saturday). It will likely be June 4, but it depends on which playoff game TNT gets. This is why Brian Cage and Brian Pillman Jr had to pull out of the Warrior Wrestling event in Chicago on June 5.Â
They would be taping on that Saturday if they go live on June 4. That taping would include the June 9 show, as well as Dark on June 14 and Elevation on June 15.
Since the pre-empted material would interfere with their ITV broadcast in the UK (it airs there before Friday at 10 PM ET), they will likely get other programming. The show, in an edited format, would still air on ITV on May 31, but it would be after the PPV has already happened.

BBFC had problems with that scene for years, haven't gotten around to the Disney+ version yet but the BBFC cuts are shown here.

AEW running its first house show on the 9th of April.

While not PPVs, WCW did tape Nitro and Thunder in November 2000 in London and Manchester. They then did the Millennium Final PPV in Germany the same tour. The UK/Germany tour along with the Nitro and Thunder tapings in Australia the previous month were their biggest live attendances of the year, not surprisingly.

This slaps as the kids may say...

Clayton takes it 11-8 over big Merv, Masters champion and into the Premier League. A very enjoyable tournament overall.
-
Jonny Clayton coming from 7-3 down to win 10-9 against James Wade there in the Masters with a 91% checkout rate. Unreal match.

When watching matches from the World of Sport era, I've noticed Kent Walton make some fleeting references to American and Japanese wrestling (Spiros Arion headlining MSG and even Vince McMahon being mentioned). Was there much in the way of coverage of US wrestling in the pre Sky era? I know WWF turned up on ITV and Screensport had AWA but what about before cable came around?

Good choices so far, I'd like to add Adam Ragusea and Glen and Friends to the list. Ragusea basically does Alton Browns schtick but it's very well presented, Glen concentrates on recipes found in older cook books and some food tech stuff too. Honourable mention to School of Wok too, the chilli beef recipe is top notch.
