Something to Wrestle has reached a post-conciousness period, where both Bruce and Conrad have become far too aware of the formula for their success.

It seems Conrad in particular is trying too hard to get his catchphrases over, "I love you for that" "role tide" etc.

And Bruce is constantly getting his shit in on every episode with the impressions and so on.

It feels like the last few seasons of Friends where the actors knew what worked and overdid it to the point that the characters became caricatures of themselves and no longer authentic.

STW has not even been on a year and it is already becoming a smug caricature of itself.

Goldberg and Ric Flair on the new edition of JR's podcast this week.

JR continuing to plug his podcast and Mania week schedule on Twitter. So so weird.

True. Perhaps people just grieve better by going on auto pilot.

I know when my Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, he simply continued on with work. Went in the very next day. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember where his parking space was, and had to come back home.

I'm new to the Prichard podcast and am just picking and choosing. And skimming the intros and ads too so I might have missed a lot of context, but who's Conrad, in the grand scheme of things?

Flair got him co-hosting his podcast, then Conrad got a show with Bruce.

He's a money mark, hillbilly.

Bruce getting emotional about Piper was a hard listen, if only his wife had died.

And people want ME suspended.

Fucking hell, some people on here have been suspended for less.

And don't give me the whole "some people grieve by going back to work" thing.

Not everybody works by getting up in front of a large audience and talking for hours and travelling for hours in airplanes.

I think it's a perfectly rational concern.

 

 

JR is still going ahead with his one man shows and other signing events this coming week in Orlando.

Dude needs to take some time off. Wouldn't surprise me to see that he has a new podcast air this week too.

A lot of stress for a man with Bells Palsy

Seriously what's your game with JR?

When his mother died, the stress brought about his second bout of Bells Palsy. It can be made worse with stress.

Just not sure that performing numerous one man shows the week his wife died is healthy, especially for a man with an illness such as his.

Never been more pissed off reading someones posts on here, any other forums I post on or social media more than them from ShaneApollo tonight. If it was in a public place I'd have no issues dimming his lights, who the fuck is he to tell someone how to fucking grieve? When my dad passed away last March I almost shut down and just wanted the whole thing to be a nightmare to wake up from, the next day I put out a tweet about his passing which led to my work mates contacting me via Twitter and by text offering condolences, exactly what has happened with Mr Ross from all forms of the industry, which gave me some comfort even though I was heartbroken and when I eventually went back to work over the Easter weekend, not a single one sugarcoated things with me or took pity on me they just let me get back to normality

Don't let it upset you. It's just a gimmick account. He's getting exactly what he wants with people getting angry. If everyone blocks/ignores him, he will soon move on to Reddit or another free wrestling forum when he gets bored.

JR earned our respect with his years of service, he's been around longer than a wrestling fan's virginity.

But it doesn't mean he hasn't made a tit of himself from time to time.

And now, unfortunately, is one of those times.

You are going to compare a terrorist attack and the people of Britain getting back to work with a stiff upper lip, to the death of a wrestling commentator's wife and he then tweeting about his podcast.

I mean, it's not as if there's been another tragedy within the last 24 hours where people have been determined to get on with their day like normal as a coping mechanism.

 

I love JR, but his handling of sensitive subjects is quite poor.

He disrespected the family of the woman Snuka was accused of killing.

The aformentioned Benoit funeral clanger.

He also made a disgusting remark about Heath Ledger at Mania 25.

And now shilling his podcast after his wife just died.

And JR himself has expressed regret at showing up at those funerals in full gimmick mode.

JR will redeem himself in my eyes if he can leave his gimmick cowboy hat at home on the day of the funeral.

He only started wearing it because Vince told him to and now it's his gimmick.

He looked like a fool when he showed up to Nancy and Daniel Benoit's funeral wearing it.

Some people.

The whole culture of celebrities tweeting each other condolences is also a pile of shit.

It's all virtue signalling.

Pick up the fucking phone and call the man. The tweet is just so we know that they are good people and care.
