  1. The people putting those posters up paid ÂŁ10 each, they can do what they want. Think like a promoter, they put up posters... BUT THEY PAID TEN POUNDS TO GET IN. You got your money off them. That's all you should care about. If you had a proper brain on you, you've had said months ago you'd have SOLD PIES, people from here would have gone to the show to enjoy the joke. Ten pound off them for entry, charge them 2 pound for a pie, you're making 12 pound off them. If you make the money does it matter that people are taking the piss out of the fact you're a thick idiot? Again. Be a proper promoter.

Here here. Not only that we would have seen you had a sense on humour.

Don't know much about the history of the man or his company but one thing in his defence I had some of my lads on the show and everything apart from last minute booming was paid up front nobody came away without being paid I can think of many promoters over the years who would try to get out of paying with just a 30 fan attendance.is

He will be lucky to get 30 fans soon if he carries on talking to people the way he does. Most people on this forum have been on the receiving end of Bowler going full Bowler.

That's not quite true though is it, you're thread shitting now.

Most people haven't been on the end of it - a handful of people have had stupid PM's, a couple (myself included) have had less stupid and non-threatening PM's.

The majority of those 30 people probably weren't UKFF people anyway, and it sounds like the show actually ran smoothly and was entertaining, so Adam's behaviour on here isn't going to stop casual fans going.

I'm not defending his behaviour, but it feels like you're being a tit for the sake of it which isn't really necessary - he's quite capable of being a tit on his own.

Fair point. Maybe a touch wrong with what I said. But the point of changing his attitude is still valid.

  3. You know yes I openly admit I made mistakes, I've talked to people the wrong way and said someone wrong things and I have also paid everyone at the right times. Everyone makes mistakes in their life. I have not listened in the past and I have started to listen. I feel that no one deserves this much heat, bullying and people going out of their way to cause hassle at shows. How would you all feel if the shoe was on the other foot and it was happening to your family?

I am sorry if I have done things wrong and said things to people and I feel its time for a chance for me and LPW and I promise I will start to listen and learn from people who know what they are talking about.

Thank you for your time and I will start to be kinder to people if they are to me

    Seeing is believing

I have removed the pictures from the LPW page and I won't ban anyone from the next show.

The fact that you would ban a paying customer who said nice things about your show is bizarre enough. The fact that you would then steal my intellectual property and republish them without permission or license is a real kick in the teeth. The last time someone did that I gave them the option of paying me in retrospect or trying to convince a court that the screengrabs didn't show what they clearly showed.

Now, it's clear from your posts that you don't understand how copyright works, so I don't believe you did this flagrantly and I'll let it slide.

That's the serious bit done with.

it sounds like the fans made this a fun show

The fans did make it a fun show, but it wasn't purely down to them. The wrestlers were also playing up to the jokes that had been in this thread . There was a bunch of lads at the back of the front area that had never heard of the UKFF and they were loving the pie-related shenanigans, as evidenced by them posing for photo's with the aforementions "riot" sign.

Even ignoring the content of the matches, the show genuinely was well run. It started on time, finished on time, had a decent set up and no mechanical/electrical issues. If Adam's responsible for all that, then all credit to him for doing it in spite of all the doubt.

    PWO LIVES!!!!!!!!

    (Mind I do prefer Pie-dra)

I have removed the pictures from the LPW page and I won't ban anyone from the next show. Please leave me alone and lock this thread as its doing more upset and harm than good.

Instead of asking for the thread to be locked which it won't. Why don't you use a bit of business acumen and promote selling the DVD from Nemesis uncut with all the incidents included? You might make a couple of quid from people who may want to see it?

May be tempted by this. Cant really knock the product without seeing it. Shame cant be said about the guy in charge of said promotion...

  7. Yep, it wasn't anywhere near the car crash that I think everyone expected it to be. There were rough bits, but it was more a case of the good hands elevated it, rather than the bad hands brought it down.

Sadly, I won't be able to review the next show, as last night I got this message from Adam:

    LPW said:

    ======================================================================

thank u for them pictures and the review was shit

I know who u r and u not welcome back to LPW

    ======================================================================

I know what you're thinking. Thank God that Paul will be there to cover it. Alas not:

I don't think it was right to do all that pictures, pie and peas ect u no.

I know who u r now and u not welcome back or Paul

goodbye as I want nothing more to do with ukff

    ======================================================================

    Sorry Paul, whoever you are.

I believe he means me. I really dont know how im going to cope. Guess im going to have to cry myself to sleep tonight

The bottom line is this – how long are we willing, as wrestlers, to let Adam Bowler run wrestling shows and diminish ourselves as performers?

You can't moan about diminishing yourselves as performers if you are willingly taking booking from people you consider to be ruining the business. They are as much an enabler as his parents.

    ^THIS^

I remember getting a bit of flak last time I blamed the boys for this, but once again this show wouldn't be able to happen without the wrestlers. Seriously, how little self respect, and respect for the business do you really have if you're 'working' for someone like Bowler and helping shows like this exist? I'm sure some just saw it as a laugh and a quick buck, but every time a show like this happens it makes the entire industry look pathetic. THIS is why British wrestling doesn't get taken seriously. It's high time that the boys started being more discerning with what bookings they take rather than being so desperate to fill up every weekend with every booking they can possibly find. There's been a million warning signs that Adam's obviously mentally impaired and he shouldn't be putting on this shows, I hope all the guy's the got money out of him are proud of themselves. He's not going to ever 'learn his lesson', as evidenced by every since exchange with him in this thread, so you're not helping him in any way by taking the booking, you're just scamming a simpleton. Well done you.

I know it doesn't mean much since I promote in a completely different area of the country, but I for one will not be booking anyone who's contributed to these show, and I'd imagine there's plenty of other ticked off promoters thinking the same thing today.

    Cant argue with this

  9. It's Danny O'Doherty:

Well for the first time in my life, I've just had a wrestling promoter (and his 70 year old dad) punch me 6 times in the head...

Before we get in to things, I'll give the job away – the man in question is Adam Bowler.

Now I've never been someone to spout my bullshit on Facebook, but after 6 months of putting up with this dog-shit piece of a man and actually getting assaulted on the night – I think its worth talking about this dickhead in full.

Straight off, your first question is probably gunna be “well why did you work for the nobhead in the first place” and the answer is this simple: - when you're as skint as I am, and the man (term used loosely) they call Adam Bowler is willing to pay you more money to cut a promo than you were used to for 75% of your wrestling career growing up (in matches that meant the world) then I'm obviously gunna do the job. I've finally got to a stage in my career where I respect what I'm worth, I know who I wanna work for, and I will charge accordingly to whoever wants me to work for them. And if Adam Bowler wants to book me, he's gunna pay through the nose and he'll be lucky if I'm gunna take a bump for less than 80 bar.

Secondly – anyone who has ever dealt with this fella first hand will know the fucking shit you have to go through just to get a logical sentence out of him “unprofessional cunt”, blah blah blah. But I have bit my tongue cos I thought fuck it, its worth the money on the night. The doors opened at 7pm tonight, and at 6:30, sat on my couch at home – I honestly thought to myself – is it really even worth leaving the house for that amount of money? I've put up with more insults than you can imagine – to my family, my girlfriend, my mam – you name it he's said it. In fact, if I showed up tonight I'd be leaving in a wheelchair apparently.

But anyway, I told him there was no way I'd be wrestling for him, but I'll do a managing job for a better wage- and that's what I did, I showed up – like “a professional” (bola's catchphrase) does – and came to manage the lads I was working with. (Wasn't told who I was managing until 10 mins before the match mind)

Anyway, come match time I grab the mic and I hammer Adam and his promotion – after going round backstage and realising he'd spoke to 90% of the locker room the same way he'd spoke to me. There was probably 10 paying punters in the crowd if you were lucky, but I got heat from a few lads when I got backstage. And this is where it gets controversial. Now I respect these lads, and they make a full time living from the business, and believe it or not – I make my full time living from the business (in many forms) as well. But as far as I'm concerned – how Adam Bowler treat me and talked about me and my family– what I said on the mic (which was mild to say the least) warranted what he had put me through. Now looking back retrospectively, that is going into business for myself and I sincerely apologise to the lads in the back who were doing their job. I was told I insulted the UK Kid and the Belgian Bull - which I can do nothing but apologise for, and lads if I was in your shoes I'd feel the same. But you don't know how disgusting this guy is.

The bottom line is this – how long are we willing, as wrestlers, to let Adam Bowler run wrestling shows and diminish ourselves as performers? I was the only one who had the guts to tell him how much of a little cunt he is tonight and I'm the one him and his dad set about (apparently I was responsible for ordering 16 pizzas to his house. Good rib, but it wasn't me). I stood with my hands behind my back and let the two of them unleash on me if they wish (his dad squared up to me, but it was Adam who threw the bats... I dare say it'll of been more brutal getting bats off a 4 year old girl, mind).

Now surely there's no place for little shits like Adam Bowler to exist? And shame on us because we're the only ones adding fuel to the fire by letting him carry on – but can this not be the last Adam Bowler show? Wrestling must be the only business in this world where you can let your 'employer' speak to you like you're the next box of meat getting rolled into the McDonalds drive thru. How long must he go on talking to wrestlers like they are bin-men just because he has 80 bar in his back pocket once every 6 month? For one I know I will never step in the same building as him again.

All I say is, be warned. It's a good job I didn't do what he does every single day and threatened to call the police. Cos if I did ring them, that is ACTUAL assault mate. You punched me 6 times. There's a difference between getting the police involved because a lad said you shouldn't be a promoter compared to you actually punching a guy 6 times for doing his job. (And by job, I'd probably rather be stood pulling pints in the club than being on your show). If I took you outside I could've smashed you unconscious – but as a logical human being – I didn't do that.

The worst part about this is that he will never learn, and I'll still be the 'unprofessional' one. Boycott Adam Bowler if you've got any self worth in wrestling. That's it.

This is the post I got my info from too.

  10. Anyone fancy being in a tag team. Steak & Kidney or Chicken & Mushroom?

Let's hope Bowler pisses his talent of in April that much that one of them stomps him into little bitty pieces.

On a serious note Bowler's Facebook says people are pushing him close to the edge. As I'm blocked now the message is, keep pushing.

Chicken & Mushoom for me. Will even get the mushroom haircut for the gimmick
