  1. Thanks for the help SiWri, dont get me wrong I enjoy going to PCW as it's local and I can have a laugh with a few drinks and get to see numerous imports.

However I'd also like to watch some more serious and more story driven wrestling as well. I've heard great things about progress so I'll start watching demand tonight :)

  2. Never been to a progress show but considering going to the Manchester show.

    What is the venue like?

What company is Progress most like?

Are the shows heavily storyline based?

I've been to quite a lot of PCW shows as they're local to me but find the matches there to be quite poor and nearly always comedy based.

  3.

watched ROH Death Before Dishonor from 2006 last night and I'd recommend it to anyone.

It's the finale of the ROH v CZW feud, the only satisfying wrestling invasion angle. The crowd is split about 70/30 in favour of ROH and the atmosphere is hostile like no other. It's most comparable to a football crowd with home and away fans. Middle fingers all over the place and you'd think riots would break out when CZW fans led a chant of "overrated" towards Bryan Danielson! The CZW fans are hilariously awful throughout really. And the main event is just a nuts WarGames-esque Cage of Death Match, feat Cesaro with hair and Necro Butcher on the CZW team. It's hilarious to see ROH fans wanting BJ Whitmer to beat up Cesaro with 2016 eyes. Nice shout from a fan too "hair transplants - look into it!" towards Cesaro.

Just an utterly unique show whether you reckon you'd care for the wrestling or not.

I remember buying that DVD after reading a review of the show on here and the poster wrote "Homicide threw thumbtacks on the mat as a barefooted Necro Butcher was charging at him and it was like a scene from Tom & Jerry".

That conjured such a great image in my head that I wanted to see it for myself (YouTube and places generating GIFs were not as common 10 years ago) so I bought the DVD.

After starting with that I bought some of the other ROH vs CZW shows that led up to that cage match and it was all great stuff from the Summer of 2006.

Is there anyway to watch any of the CZW vs ROH stuff online?

Didn't Dempsey beat him once in their feud.

From what I remember, Corbin comfortably got the win in each of their encounters. It was a pretty rubbish “feud”.

I could have sworn Bull got at least one win over him, but a quick google shows you're right. He did get beat Neville through interference by Bull, so I suppose you can say this is the first time Corbin has been cleanly beaten

CJ Parker beat him clean on one of the old NXT TV's that evidently everyone forgot about.

Most do but Blackpool don't, just trying to make our mind up which tickets to buy tomorrow.

They're on sale on Friday aren't they?

    O2 presale starts tomorrow.

  5. Xpac confirmed as first wildcard at SuperShow of Honor!

Hopefully we get the rest of the talent that are attending the Wales Comic Con too

Do the guys that appear at the comic con and PCW actually wrestle at the event or just appear at the meet and greet?

Would be great if Jericho made some kind of appearance as he is at Wales Comic Con.
