  1. Just read this on wwe.comBrock Lesnar has made a personal decision to put his WWE career on hold to prepare to tryout for the National Football League this season. Brock has wrestled his entire professional career in the WWE and we are proud of his accomplishments and wish him the best in his new endeavor.Guess its not a work after all then.

He'll be back for Summerslam ;)
2005? ;) Seriously, he won't be back until next year at the least.Even if he doesn't make the football cut, he'll stay away out of pride until at least the next WM.
Japan wouldnt be out of the question for Lesnar either IMHO given his legit background if only to raise his price to Vince ala Goldberg.
I see Brock going to Japan, not the NFL. Smell the ratings...Brock VS Sapp!!!Perhaps TNA can go all out and sign Goldberg AND Brock for Bound for Glory! That might just elevate TNA enough to compete with Vince. I hope so. WWE really needs a big rival right now. It feels like 1995 all over.
  2. Heres an XMW view on things...Cena VS Show- **Wasnt particularly bad, about what I expected from these two. Seems should have been a second-match bout, rather opener.Raw Tag Titles- ** 1/2I knew this would be pretty shit...RVD, Booker and 6 poor wrestlers (sorry guys, but Conway is shit). RVD seemed to ahnialate everyone in this match, clean the place up and win on his own. Which I like, as an RVD mark. But ** 1/2 is the most this can ever get due to the lack of talent involved.Chris Jericho VS Christian- ****Excellent match. I really enjoyed this. I know this was going to be the dark horse going into mania, going by both competitors strong PPV-effort record. 2nd best MOTN, Trish's turn actually surprised me, and she was HOT.Rock N Sock VS Evolution- ***Very entertaining indeed. I'm not a fan of any of these fives in-ring abilities, but the entertainment was there. How much more are they going to push Randy???Playboy Gown- *Would have rather watched Matt Hardy shadow-wrestle...if I want to see women, I'll get some porn, not watch fucking wrestling.Cruiserweight Open- ***Very dissapointing, my own stupid fault for believeing WWE were actually going to give this some time and effort. Poor old Ultimo just wasn't up to it (not just his entrance), they robbed Funaki & Akio of competing. Noble & Nunzio were very good however. Kidmans shooting star was fucking pants. Rey's top rope code red was pretty cool. Chavo stealing a win was obvious. Once again, when you think WWE are going the right way, they put one over you.Goldberg VS Lesnar- ** 1/2I liked the initial crowd reactions- I bet WWE wasn't expecting a very smart crowd tonight. The long staredowns and lock-ups were very good IMO, but then it went downhill. Why didn't they adopt a Japanese style and hit power move after power move, near fall after near fall? Nice gorilla into spinebuster, poor f5, typical jackhammer, ok super neckbreaker...but that was about it move-wise. I was actually glad when Austin stunnered both the fuckers, yes...I marked for Austin. I hate Austin, but it had to be done. Now fuck off Lesnar, fuck off Goldberg.Smackdown Tag Title- * 1/2Once again, the smart fans let WWE how bad a mistake they made with this one. Rikishi & Scottie, doing the same tired routine they were doing 4 YEARS AGO EXACTLY, won with a 'sit on opponant'. Fans were dead and booed like crazy, so they should. Travesty that Haas/Benjamin didn't win.Molly VS Victoria- ***Shame it wasn't given a lot more time, pretty good for a short match. Victoria has come a long way, but they should have given more time on this one.Eddie VS Angle- ****Not quite as good as I expected, but no worse either. Very good match, you can tell Angle is getting closer to retirement, but was still very good. Eddie was solid as per. Not the classic I hoped, but still brilliant.Undertaker VS Kane- *Biggest let-down. It was just BIKER UNDERTAKER IN A FUCKING HAT!!! The entrance was quite good, but WWE done the one thing I didn't think they would do this time- let us down with Taker. He was no different. The match was crap also. Nowhere near the Mania 14 classic.Triple H VS Benoit VS HBK- **** 1/2I don't give out 5* ratings. This match was off the chart, VERY GOOD. MOTY so far, def MOTN. Triple H was brilliant- sold like a friggin trooper (particularly germans & submissions), HBK was excellent as I expected and Benoit just ran with the ball. He was brilliant. Now THATS how you do a triple threat!! Best ever Triple Threat? Prob not. Best ever WWE Triple Threat? Maybe. Slightly better than Eddie/Brock, so it's MOTY thus far. Very moving end with Eddie & Benoit.Overall- ***Poor show. I had neevr been so excited for a PPV, which probably didn't help. The crowd was a LOT smarter than the usual WWE crowd, which made a huge difference. Well, Vince should know that nobody cares about dancing Samoans, women in lingerie and Bikers. I think the WWE will be having a very large meeting this week. With many of their top names left/leaving, and a poor ppv with mostly poor response should really be a reason for them to sit back, and think about how they can make major improvements. This is TNA's chance to cover some ground now, Bound for Glory is looming and could be a lot better product wise. Now is the time for big changes- they already have a headstart with Eddie & Benoit as world champs. Now they should use it to their advantage and join the new era or wrestling. Out with the old, in with the new. Perhaps Edge will help lighten things up a bit. Perhaps RVD may jump to smackdown. They need to push a lot more gu main event status. Then push more guys to mid-card, then sign more guys for lower card etc. They need a whole new shake-up. It's time for change.WWE. Where it all should begin...again.

  3. How in the hell has this killed british wrestling? Surely a boost would be for all feds to be on tv, and it has to start with ONE!!!Other networks will see how popular FWA on TWC is becoming and may think about snapping up another fed. Perhaps the Hammerlock tv deal could finally go through because of this. There really is no pleasing any of you dickheads, is there? I boost for wrestling has to start somewhere, and this is it.Best british wrestling news in years :D

Other stations don't care about wrestling. The only ones who consider it are Bravo - and after Revival they just seemed to stop caring. Believe me, a TV channel which runs next to "The Golf Channel" is not gonna make people want to show more British wrestling on their TV stations. The channel will be pretty much dedicated to the hardcore fans. Hell, since The Racing Channel has gotten a little bigger, I've noticed less racing on Channel 4 and such. And you don't exactly see sports channels jumping over themselves to get more golf on their TV screeens because The Golf Channel had a tournament on which was pro shot with four cameras and commentary, do you? It'll be five years until another fed gets on TV. And there's a difference between starting with one which was all well and good - congratulations to FWA for being the only promotion in the country to get a TV deal, and going five years with one.
I honestly dont see anything negative coming out of this. 5 years ago, no British wrestling was on TV. 2 years agp, FWA had a one-off show on Bravo. A year ago, there were Hammerlock talking about a tv deal- which came to nothing. To be honest, nothing has changed in the world of British Wrestling except ONE FED (which is one fed more than the last 10 years) has a tv deal. So how in the hell can this possibly be a bad thing for British wrestling? There are no mainstream british wrestling fans in the uk, as wrestling is not mainstream over here. Therefore, I fail to see how this would affect attendance at other feds shows. They all have their own audience. Sure, this will boost FWA's audiences, but I very much doubt that this will decrease other feds audiences. Also, other feds will look at FWA's product, and work hard in hope that they will acheive what they have. This will produce better shows for them. Wrestlers will work harder in order to get 'noticed' by FWA so they can wrestle on TV, everyones happy.Amen!

  5. Has anyone mentioned about Bret Hart being in the main pic/video on the wrestlemania website? It isnt as if its a video showing the history of mania, which fuels my suspicions...check it out, you'll know what i mean

  6. Rob Feinstein simply cannot 'step down' from this company, someone has to buy him out. He is the head exec of three ongoing companies, and unless Gabe or someone else or some consortium can come up with some dollar, the promotion remains Rob's. Business isn't that simple.

  7. I can't fucking WAIT for the next CM Punk diary entry.

I Can't wait for the next Rob Feinstein diary entry :)

Low-ki, the biggest ever ROH star, will never wrestle for them again, based on principles. He has heat with Gabe as it was. AJ, as said, will not stand for this. What about the rest of the Zero-1 clan; Steve Corino & Samoa Joe? Two of their hugest names? A lot of their talent will stay as loyalty to Gabe, but a lot will leave due to principle. This has seriously damaged the good name of Pro Wrestling, TV stations will never touch ROH. It has no future. Venues will not let ROH book their premeses. Gabe will NOT be able to run this on his own, I will give the promotion 6 months AT A STRETCH. Who knows, maybe Gabe could end up getting himself a writing position within WWE, under the recomendation of Heyman and various wrestlers who have worked in ECW & ROH? I hope so, for his sake.

Venues will book ROH, because it seem's they have plans to change to RWH (Ring With Honor) According to my soruces.
hasnt got the same ring to it :(
  8. Wow, I dont check the forum for one day and look what happens!! I am absolutely shocked, but for some reason, when birchillsbuddy told me about this last night at the pub, I didn't find it as surprising as if it was someone else.I hate to say it, but ROH, one of the survivors of the breed of indies from the last few years (XPW, MLW, XWF, WWA etc failed) and seemed to be flying with colours, are fucked. They were getting even bigger. We all knew they would never reach ECW status (due to targeting a specific audience), but they were still getting pretty damned big. They were alongside (maybe even bigger) CZW as third biggest US promotion, behind WWE & TNA. Then this happens. Without the management skills & funding from the biggest wrestling tape trader alive (rob feinstein), ROH is simply just a decent creative mind (gabe), which sadly isnt enough for wrestling today. Gabe can tell you first hand that you need decent management to make a promotion work, not just great creativity and booking. He should know, he was at ECW (who failed due to Heyman's poor management, ahbeit great booking). Well, this seems it then. The death of a fine wrestling promotion. Another corrupt sick peadophile busted. This is a sad day for both wrestling, and life morals & values. Ring of Honor- it was good while it lasted. R.I.P. feb02-mar03

  9. An actual LOL moment there. I'd like to know how much Blassie stuff Denim Rob has seen to come up with a comparison to Mil

Alright i get your point. i have only seen mil mascaras at rumble 97 and he was awful! hopefully he was a lot better when he was younger! and yes ure right i have only read about blassie not seen! .But to say mil is a greater wrestler than HBK is a big slap in the face. oh and i have seen quite a few hbk matches u know! :p
Dude, you judge Mil Mascaras peformance at 55 (in 1997) and compare it to HBK's performance at mid-30s?
wtf? mil mascaras was in rumble 97? ive watched that video recently and recall that it featured hector garza, perro aguayo jr, heavy metal, fuerza guerrera, canek (you know, that guy nobody on here knows  ) and jerry estrada but dont recall mil mascaras. when is he in it? cos hes not in the lucha 6-manedit: my apologies, dont remember him in the rumble, but remember latin lover. just found out he was in rumble. did wwe strike some kind of deal with mexico for this ppv or something?
  10. And Mo -- no, I've never been to a British show. Although outside of your own personal interest, I fail to see how this is relevant to this thread.

i think its very relevant actually, seeing as you are mainly focusing on british wrestling
