Anyone ever watch Howard Stern interviewing wrestlers on YouTube?

It's funny. The Rock was on and you would expect him to be in his element, but he was pretty soft-spoken and reserved.

Then, Triple H was on and he was charming and gregarious.

Triple H rolled with the punches and took everything Stern threw him; mostly shemale jokes about Chyna.

I have to say it's hard to dislike Triple H coming off that, even knowing what a right bastard he can be politically.

The Rock looked like he wanted the world to swallow him up at a couple of points, mostly when Stern and his goons brought up his gyno.

I've seen Howard Stern interview Vince, it's absolutely golden.

Honestly, if I was a make a wish kid I would request to meet Vince.

  2. Alright so, Resonance 104.4 FM in London, arts radio station, we had this show come in called Novara FM - They decided to frame Triple H vs Rollins from WM as the normalisation of neo nazi iconography. It broadcast on the 7th April 2017 - banging on about how its all nazi symbolism and label pro wresrtling trash culture. You can listen back on mixcloud, but its laughable how they paint it.

There was then a response from the wrestling show on Resonance FM

  3. If it's merely cheering to be wacky and against the grain, then why cheer Axel and not Titus?

I can pinpoint a match from a couple of years ago because I was there. I'm sure there are loads more examples, but I'm not going to trawl through them to prove a point to people who have already made up their minds and feel there is a "correct way" to enjoy wrestling.

At every house show that I've seen Axel at, he has been over. It's hardly a case of the crowd trying to get themselves over at a house show.  I prefer to use UK crowds as a barometer as the Americans tend to sit on their hands.

  4. No evidence,  yet this all came from questioning why he got cheered. Surely the cheers are evidence.

Go back on the network and rematch the UK shows. Axel was cheered against Sin Cara a few years back. Probably more instances but I can't think from the top of my head.

I can't speak for last night but I know at wrestlemania there were a bunch of people cheering for him and chanting for him.

Probably to be totally unique and against the grain, and to 'hijack' the show. Complete idiotic cunts. Same ones that moan how talentless and uncharismatic he is when being pushed.

We cheer for Axel because we like him. What's there to understand?? There are several acts (Fandango, Breeze, Bo Dallas, etc) that UK fans tend to like that people might not agree with.  It's different strokes for different folks.

Probably take a look in the mirror before you start calling people idiotic cunts.

  6. I can't really watch Progress anymore. The fans in that Facebook group put me off. When they're not moaning, they're calling themselves the greatest fans in the world and Progress the best promotion and nothing else matters. They're just as annoying at the shows and it all feels very cliquey. Smallman is alright but he goes on too much during the show. The commentary has always been dire and it's worse with Callum Leslie and Glenn Joseph doing it. Great wrestling, enjoyed the few shows I went too and the DVDs I've owned and watched but I could only watch them with the sound down if I was to watch again. Shame. But I wish them luck

Sums up how I feel pretty perfectly.

The fans don't do the promotion any favours, and I realise it's probably only a vocal minority, but they killed the vibe there a loooong time ago.
