  1. If Sting wrestles at any mania, I think the best option to go with is Tripe H, assuming Sting is the babyface and is going to win, I dnt know who else they could throw in against him that wouldnt chance the crowd turning against him, if hes in there with Taker/Cena...then id guess the WWE crowd would probably cheer for either of them, obviouly crowds have turned against Cena but hes still always got huge reactioins. If Taker was to come back after getting beat last year I couldnt see him not getting cheered. The other notible star, whos a heel is Brock, but he practically runs on "cool as fuck" so again, id see the crowd siding with the beast over Sting who they havent seen in a long while, if at all. Thats not a knock on the Stinger either, just think his opponent has to be a heel who isnt going to get cheered.

  2. Jim Dotson was that massive Kangol wearing hat guys name I believe. Was a tiny article about him in one of the WWF magazines I used to buy religiously as a teenager. What a useless fact to remember!

Is that said article? Id never heard of him beefore he kinda looks familier, he is/was a fucking tank tho!.. Is he still about?

On topic, havent watched a full shoot interview in years but might give that Ole Anderson one a watch, looks a riot. Any other funny ones?

  3. I havent seen that match in years but I always thought Davey Boy faling (its like off a platform thing and between that and the rails?) looked pretty legit..

Since we're talking about that match, wasnt Bulldog's dying sisterr there or something? Have I remember'd wrong or was it brought up few times in the match and cut to her in the crowd? Seemed abit unnessisary if Davey Boy was gonna lose anyway? I remmber being outraged as a kiddo, and I never even liked British Bulldog that much.

Some of the adverts for promotions and wrestlers stick with me. I never knew the words to the 3PW one, but it sounded like "here it comes, here it here it comes, comes. Jumping swinging neckbreaker!"

It's actually "something wicked this way comes," but that reading of it, which fits perfectly, is incredible.

Jumping swing-ing neck breaker.. I cant get it out of my head now.. Plus, Mr Perfect giving Jerry Lawler an open hand slap between all the extreme wresting type madness is great too.

  5. Am I tripping or was there a point during the attitude era when the habro figures (on card)went up in value? I remember my dad telling me if I had of kept them in the package, and at the very least not bit half their noses off they would have been worth a few quid??

A quick wiki check says a rhythm and blues Greg Valintine was auctioned off for $13,400...fucking hell!

  6.

You could put red food colouring in the water so they looked like they were bleeding, if you were a sick bastard that is.

Thats the exact reason I had got two or three of them, plus they had a pretty cool ring I think, though my memory of them is really vague.. There was no Waylon Mersey hasbro was there?

  7. Those figures are a right trip down memory lane, the hasbros especially, I had near the whole set, without the ones on the green card that must have been from around 94 were they? They never had them in the woolworths or toymaster in the town and I had no idea there even was a hasbro Diesel/Smoking Guns/1-2-3 Kid till years later when I seen them on ebay. I used to get a right bollocking from my ones for biting the nose of many a hasbro figure as back in the day.

  8. Yeah from the old In Your House events that were usually only two hours if Im right? Getting a cracker main event was usually worth buying the tape, and like Rick says the final four way match was brilliant! Always one of my favorites. And the tag title match was good, the more I go back and watch the more I love Owen and Bullldog from that era.

  9. I think they pretty much booked themselves into a corner with that one, so gave Kane the strap at the PPV but wanted to get it back onto Austin asap, also to pop the rating for the rematch on raw accordin to another thread on here ....Still a very cool info chart, wonder what the average attendances would be like for the more recent champions.. Thinking what Pitcos said, how come Hogans average is that low?

  10. Wasn't Jake having a right winge backstage as well prior to Mania 8? Id guess it wasn't his lack of match psychology and more him not giving a fuck and wanting to hit the road at that point? Who knows.

What was the finish of that Summerslam match yas are on about? I think i remember an interview with Edge, and maybe Jericho were they talked about tryin to convince Cena to make Nexus look like a bigger deal and change the finish after some DDT spot but i've never seen it? Also, how fucking awesome is a properly done DDT? None of this roll through carrion, dropped right on the head, steamboat style.

  11. Cheers..didnt know there was that much WWF on british TV that early, i think you're right too about Raw stll being on fridays in around Wrestlemania 20, I think  they went live over here not long after though probably within the year. Prob been asked lots too but was there ever WCW ppvs on Sky? I know Nitro was on when Cartoon Netwrok went to sleep and TNT came on
