  1. Me meeting the wonderful Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze the other week at the Phil in Liverpool. Lovely chap who has the same speaking voice as Jools Holland. Don't hold that against him.

You look far happier than the picky cunt you come across as. Glenn's a nice bloke.

Yeah, I am happy chap on the whole! Maybe I should try and improve my confrontational posting style a tad.

  2. People have used Titan for WWF/E for years. They've also used the term "New York".

People have used the made up word "moveset" for ages as well; doesn't mean it's a good idea to use it though.

So people haven't been calling it 'Titan' since forever and Titan wasn't actually the parent company of WWF then? WWF wasn't based in New York then? (Well, it wasn't really but MSG was the main stop so people called it New York) It's the same as people calling WCW 'Turner', which they did. Wind your neck in, and stop being a fool Allan.

Titan Sports was the parent company, yes. But using it in the context you did just came across as a bit smarky to me. Maybe I am wrong though; and if so I am sorry.

When I think Titan I think of the lad who was in FMW.

  3. You know, I reckon he might have been pissing around when he said that. What do you two reckon?

the "DA MELTZ" comment is a favourite of Butch's. Stop with the sycophantic white knighting gladders, its cringe worthy.

Yeah, I know it is. I was hoping that you might have pointed that out to Pepper Sphinx up there. Never mind. Thanks for the massive overreaction, though.

You're a strange chap, masking a trolling comment as a joke and when someone responds use the usual "massive overreaction" spiel. Yawn.

Anyway.... I <3 DA MELTZ and all his little comments like calling JYD JunkFood Dog. Hilarious.

  5. Legendary heel wrestling manager 'The Grand Wizard' was Ernie Roth, who died in 1983. I seem to remember a guy popped up on WWE commentary in about 1993 or 1994 also using the name 'The Wizard'. Who was that?

The Wizard was a heel color commentator on All-American Wrestling in 1993. He was played by Bruce 'Brother Love' Prichard.

  6. It probably deserves a thread but I'll put it here for now.

Tokyo Sports & F4WOnline are reporting that Pro Wrestling NOAH have fired Kenta Kobashi.

Kobashi, who is out with what is his fourth big injury since 2005 (including his time fighting Kidney cancer), is NOAH's highest paid talent. This would have been a purely financial decision, as NOAH havecut a lot of older talent since Misawa passed away.

The impact of this decision is that 5-6 wrestlers are supposedly set to leave NOAH when their contracts expire in January (NOAH have yearly rolling contracts). The names being touted include Jun Akiyama, Go Shiozaki, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Kotaro Suzuki.

Jesus Christ. This could be the biggest news from Japan this year and the absolute death blow for NOAH. Fuck.

Atsushi Aoki is another mentioned to be leaving.
