Also well done to the person who spotted the Nick Gage/ Karl Pilkington similarities. I've been thinking that for years

Whats the deal with the fans hating Rory Mondo so much? I always assumed it was just because of ripping off Nick Mondo's character. What did he do in Japan that made CZW fans hate him so much? The fans still haven’t warmed to Mondo, despite Drake putting him over on the mic after beating him up back at the Tournament of Death. I wonder if they are ever going to forgive him for acting the tit in Japan.

I know its usually not considered to be as good but I do prefer the US deathmatch shows

Highspots sell loads of BJW stuff too, even though a lot of their stuff is just the TV shows on disc with generic cover art. The tape trading forum is also an excellent resource for rare stuff, if you aren

where can you order BJW and FMW death match dvd's from in the UK?

I had a best of cactus jack death match video years ago which was pretty good and the infamous 1995 iwa king of death match tournament with cactus v terry funk in the final but they are long gone now, as is my vhs player.
Â
if anyone knows where i could get some from, please can you pm or reply in this thread as after reading through its given me an urge to watch some old school japanese death matches.

eBay is pretty good for BJW DVD's, just do a search for "BJW DVD" and you'll get a few results. You can get FMW shows' on their as well, but they seem to be quite a bit rarer nowadays.

Just wanted to mention for anyone interested in British Wrestling from the 70's 80's and 90's, I recently read Orig Williams autobiography "El Bandito". Definatly worth a read as it mentions Big Daddy, Haystacks, Regal etc. as well as giving a bit of history of the origins of British wrestling and life on the British scene in the 80's. As well as that it gives a bit of history of the Reslo TV series on S4C that became popular after World of Sport was taken off the air.

Just thought I'd mention it ...

Has anyone else watched the most recent Cage of Death show? I thought the Cage of Death match itself was excellent, although not as many big bumps as they've had in previous years it was still a fantastic match. The other decent matches from the show were Jake Crist vs Dave Crist, the 2 out of 3 tables match, Matt Tremont vs Danny Havoc (with a really sick spot where Tremont seemed to impale his heel on one of the beds of nails!!) but the real show stealer had to be AR Fox vs Sami Cailihan. The only real let down from the show was Joker & Sabian vs Homicide & Kingston. I think 5 years ago this match would have been the shows highlight, but unfortunatly these 4 didnt put on a show like they used too. Although saying that Joker vs Kingston at An Excellent Adventure was a good match.

Overall though a brilliant show definitely one of the best Cage of Deaths there has been

By the way does anyone know the best place to get up to date ROH DVD's? ie shows from the last few months?

I'm looking forward to seeing Lance Storm wrestle again, but what sort of shape is he in these days? How long is it since he's actually made an appearance at any major show?
