  3. Gay...Trust me its Wrestling related.[/url]Saw this after looking at the Razor Ramon debut...Who the hell is this guy!?
That's Razor Ramon HG (Hard Gay), he works in Japan and is stupidly over in some places.
He's not a full-time wrestler, he only works occassional dates for Hustle. He is a legitimate mainstream celebrity in Japan, always appearing on variety shows and suchlike (and recently was one of the contestants on the J version of Dancing With The Stars). I'd actually go so far to say he's one of the most famous people in Japan right now.
  4. How/why is Dave Meltzer so well-known? He's probably the only wrestling journalist that I've seen on talk shows and news reports, etc.

More to the point how does he have so many reliable sources? Is he an incredibly charisamtic or persuasive guy? I just don't get how he can be so close to the movers and shakers in the industry, particularly during the heavily-kayfabed days of the late '70's-early '80's.
  5. I think a significant part of it was just the rest of the commentary team bigging him up every week. If someone from a previous generation is constantly referred to as "The Living Legend" , the current generation's fans will generally accept it as fact if they don't know any better.

  6. 2) In Japanese commentary, what does the sound 'Nehhhhh' mean when the commentators agree on something. Is it just a sound or does it mean Yes.

"Ne" basically means "right?" or "isn't it?" - e.g. "Hot weather today, ne?" or "Kobashi's tough as nails, ne?"But it can also be used for agreeing - e.g. "Kobashi's tough as nails, isn't he? "Ne"
  7. This might sound a tad disrespectful, but here it goes. Surely Eddie Guerrero is only getting votes in this category because of his death. How long was he a face this year? Three months in an mid card tag feud. He was heel for the vast majority of the year, how someone who was heel for the majority of the year can get so many votes for best face is beyond me. No disrespect to Eddie intended.

I came very close to voting for Eddie. As you said, he was a heel for most of the year. A truly evil heel, too. Yet the "Eddie" chants continued. It takes a very special person to be so loveable even when portraying a character doing despicable things. In the end I voted for Batista, who went from a midcard piece of muscle to the biggest star in the company almost overnight just from the fans deciding en masse they loved him.
