  1. Bittersweet today: two wins on the horses at 20-1, 2.10 at Newbury I think and a race at about half four that 'Cosmic Power' won. Sadly, I only put 50p on each, so didn't win much. Had Birmingham, Stoke, Dortmund, Swansea, Man U and Real in an accumulator as well, so just waiting on Mourinho's boys for my
  2. With the way the first two rounds went anyone would think they both thought fuck it, lets make it past three rounds to give this some credibility (not that there was any) and then when the fight started it was done & dusted in seconds.

And they say that the WWE is pre-determined....hmm.

  3. I read yesterday that the actor who plays Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden?) got arrested in North London.

Even in real life you would probably think twice if you were arresting him or saw him in jail.

  4. Argh I really hate it when characters are re-casted, especially if they are older too.

Here is the new Lauren Branning...

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders/news/10080...ine-jossa.shtml

Completely different to the one who's left and to think she would even change that much in a few months puts me right off, could understand a few years maybe but its painful already. I actually thought the young actress who played Lauren was good as well, likewise with Lucy who is also leaving and being replaced.

  5. Eastenders here.

Not going to even attempt at saying its the best soap etc etc but do watch it every week and do enjoy it.

Last few years its been on top form, not sure what the new producer is going to bring to the show and theres going to be changes left, right & centre from what I have seen/heard but do enjoy the show.

Ian's character the last few years (the comedy side) has been brilliant.

  6. I don't often ask questions without looking on threads on here, but thought this made sense.

Now that the TNA/WWE are going against each other on Monday night, when/where will the TNA show be shown in the UK? Is this live or on delay?

I know Raw is live Monday nights but wasn't sure about TNA?

  7. Heres my list. Plenty of retros..

    1. Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 (PC)

Loved this game and still do to this day, the best online game I have ever played even today the game still looks as good as it did back then, the fun & enjoyment this game has given me pretty much made this my number one.

    2. Metal Gear Solid (PS1)

I remember being blown away by this game when it first came out, I stayed up all weekend to play this and remember completing the game by the end of the weekend after picking it up on the friday.

    3. Goldeneye (N64)

This was the only reason I ever went round my cousins as they had an N64, loved the multiplayer and this game alone made me realise how good multiplayer games can be (4+ players). This is the only game on my list that I never had at the time, but did buy an N64 a few years ago off ebay just to own/play this game.

    4. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PC/PS3)

Was a tough call between Pro Evo 5 & 6, but went with 6 as it was the last good online game of pro evo IMO but only one pro evo game was going to make my top 15 but overall most of them combined kinda earns its number 4 status.

    5. Grand Theft Auto (Original)

I'm probably one of the few who preferred the classic to the other GTA games, loved how it was simple, fun & addictive.

    6. Sensible World Of Soccer (Amiga)

This game was just beautiful and an awesome football game, you can play it now and still have as much fun as you did when you first played it.

    7. Populous 2 (Amiga)

I remember as a kid playing this game for hours & hours (and the original) and being just fasinated about the whole thing, that reason alone made it my number 7.

    8. Super Mario Brothers 3 (Snes)

Keeping with the simples (again prefer this type of mario than the 3D) I think this is the perfect platform game.

    9. Zool 2 (Amiga)

Was so beautifully done back in its time, looked fab, loved the characters and wish it was still around today.

    10. Shadow Of Memories (PS2)

I believe this is one of the games Black2 has never heard of before my nomination, very underated I think, the story and different possible endings made this game very different from others (at least in its time), probably more cinematic than actual gameplay but with the PS2 at the time being very powerful, this game worked with me and could possibly be the best game I ever played on the ps2.

    11. Pokemon - Blue (Gameboy)

As mentioned already by JLM, very addictive and my personal fav game on the Gameboy.

    12. Football Manager 2008 (PC)

Could have been any of the football managers really, but this version made me play it the longest which is why I went with 08, never played the early champ man's, but eitherway this deserves a mention.

    13. The Chaos Engine (Amiga)

Another game I remember & loved back from the Amiga days, as already mentioned this deserves another remake.

    14. Cannon Fodder (Amiga)

Like sensible soccer, but the war version!

    15. Superfrog (Amiga)

There were a few games that were close to making the number 15 spot (Call Of Duty 4, Tetris, Speedball 2, Lemmings, Crash Bandicoot, LAPD on the ps1, smash court tennis), and any one of them could have joined at the tail end of this list, but Superfrog just edged it for adding a lot to my childhood and for helping me love games. I guess it deserved a mention and edged its way onto my list, close call though.

So yeah most of my games are not current or even recent, but they all played a part in my gaming experience & education.

  8. I thought it was very average myself also.

Seemed to take a while to get going (after the bus was on that planet) then as usual everything seemed rushed in the last 20 mins, just seemed a little unbalanced.

Also might of been better to have 2 episodes spead out over easter if they are going to do the one off episodes, I know the narrative for special is that its a 'one off' as opposed to a series but just didn't really do it for me

Quick question, the black lady who was leading the army (or special service with the red caps)...is she the same actress who starred in the recent BBC series 'The Survivors'?

  9. Saw Cloverfield tonight and thought it was a decent viewing.

Kind of enjoyed the film (probably because it was different with the cam corder view) although felt a little dizzy/sick in patches with the shakey camera movement but there were a few 'oh shit' moments as because of the different view you almost felt like you were a person involved in the film rather than watching a group of people run etc.

Its probably worth watching just because it offers something a little different.

  10. Cineworld have fucked me right off lately with the pre booking machines not working, only two people on the desks when its really busy, staff taking forever to get popcorn/drinks and the general shitty customer service that comes with it. I don't actually mind the seats or the cinema itself, but theres always delays or problems and when I took the time out to email them, they seemed to make it sound like it was all my fault.Regardless of whether I pre-book, get popcorn or turn up on the day, it always takes me about 30 minutes from the entrance to my seat because of something fucking up...I would go elsewhere but I dont really enjoy other cinemas. :(
