Oz The Great and Powerful. A film based on a foregone conclusion, when I got to the end I realised I'd just watched the Disney version of Army of Darkness.

 

Never again. Didn't help with my intense dislike of James Franco either.

Not much in the way of bloodshed as I recall, plenty of telegraphed jumpscares though.

The Conjuring

 

Non Spoilered.

 

Standard possession/haunted house film with solid performances throughout. Don't expect any new takes or revolutionary ideas though, it ticks all the boxes because the film does indeed tick all the boxes when it comes to all the things characters are supposed to do in their situation.

 

Also it has Patrick Wilson, I like Patrick Wilson.

Watched Skyfall last night, looks like they've decided to get Bond back on track. Very, very enjoyable.

I watched a godawful film called Smiley, i should have known to switch off when it first mentioned 4chan but i very stupidly carried on. Absolute shite that one was.

 

Followed it up with Red Lights, good to see Cillian Murphy actually starring in a film instead of merely passing through but there was too much build up for so little pay off.

Had the Bond channel on since Friday, amongst others i've watched Casino Royale 3 times and Quantum of Solace twice. Then i watched Layer Cake for the first time, i do believe i'm starting to warm to Daniel Craig.

 

Layer Cake was particularly enjoyable, i can see why it got him the Bond job. Got the Indiana Jones Bluray boxset today so that'll be next on the list to go through.
