Kurt Angle has signed on for the lead role in a pilot called Emergency: LA. He will play LAPD Sgt. Gabe Mandell. The pilot will be shot soon and then taken to networks for a possible pick-up.

 

Here's a synopsis: "Emergency:LA revolves around the Fictional Emergency services based out of Station 77 of the LA City Fire Department, Downtown LA district of the LAPD and the Emergency Hospital treatment center Trauma One. The series will focus on the day to day activities, rescues, investigations and treatments, that take place in the respective environments as well as the personal lives of the characters that inhabit them."

 

Former UK wrestling promoter Len Davies (who left wrestling for Hollywood years ago) will write, direct and produce. The pilot will be shot in 4K Ultra High Definition. Katarina Leigh (Winter/Katie Lea Burchill) will also be in the pilot.

I think I might have lost he use of my legs with sheer delight during every big moment on Raw in the late 90s. The beer bath and the night Austin turned up in the ice resurfacer and clotheslined Vince off it was amazing. Pre-spoiler days, just sitting down and watching it was the best feeling in the world. Those are like wrestlings version Trigger falling through the bar. Moments like that are always going to be replayed over and over again because of their significance.

I too loved the late 90's Raw's. Friday night on Sky Sports.
