  1.

I think Shane is just doing his Dad a favour because they're on their arse and Mania looked like shit. They are incapable of writing the shows without a heel running the place anyway, I think they'd be completely lost having to write the shows around a babyface GM.

Your'e probably right, but how much fresher does Shane a babyface running Raw sound?

  2.

Has their been any indication that Shane wants back on the road?

I think he's just helping the family out at a pinch. He's definitely going down at Mania.

I've been humming his theme all morning..

Shane not going over though could be seen as disappointment to many though, especially with intrigue into him being in charge of Raw in the future. Him turning up at Mania, being fed to Taker is kind of anti climax to me. I'd much rather see him up against someone like Bray (where you would still get a crazy HIAC match), go over and prolong the interest.

  3. I loved the opening segment but can't feel the love for Taker/Shane, although it is an interesting dynamic. Shane surely has to win and I don't believe for one second hes going over Taker.

Personally I'd have Taker turn down Vince, thus Vince going mad and putting Taker in a retirement match against Cena. Then have Shane wrestling Bray in the HIAC match, Shane going over , creating the buzz for the new Raw format, you could either go with a HHH/Babyface Wyatt feud after.

I also personally really like the dynamic of the Ambrose/Lesnar match, they could really make Ambrose here if they wanted too.

Can already see Ryback being Reigns first challenger after Mania.

What is Jericho going to be doing at Mania?

Definitely lots of interest going forward.

  4. Mania really is going to suck at this rate.

Reigns/HHH and Bray/Lesnar, with the possibility of Taker/Braun and Rock not wrestling could make it one of the worst Mania's of all time. I know injuries have hurt them but is this really the best they can come up with.

  5. Can't believe the lack of reaction from the Weekend shows, I've been going to UK shows since 2002 and this weekender(with the Sunday in particular) being the best shows I've seen on these shows. Absolutely superb.

Ciampa/Sabre is definitely a match of the year candidate , the final was superb, both the semis were great and Strong/End from night one and the woman's hardcore match and the tag match were also awesome.

    Top notch stuff.

  6. Jack Swagger is doing a signing at Hamleys on Saturday at 11.45, only drawback is you need to accompany someone under 12 years old.

The convention scene really is buzzing at the moment so far.

Really looking forward to Wrestlecon, So far I have only booked tickets for the HBK/Bret evening and a Team Bestie and Hart Foundation photo shoot but There is about 12 names I need to add to my WWE Encyclopedia.

The London Comic Con looks great too and ive got thingsa for Rey, Animal and Rocky to sign.

Will get tickets for Regal aswell, awesome show last year with the added bonus of meeting Batista there.

  7. Late shows from last weeks show.

-Impressed with beer finally being allowed in the York Hall. That sectioned of bar has been a pain for years.

    - Good selection of NJPW t-shirts on offer, love my new Bullet Club t shirt

    - The first half truth be told was kind of so so, A late start to the show never helps things but at least it was a early enough kick off to not affect things for me.

    - The Cabana stuff was pretty entertaining, I have soured on Cabana in recent years (mainly due to him as a person) but the Matt Classic stuff was pretty entertaining. Gideon is a entertaining act although i'm not sure on his wrestling ability.

    - Rocky Romero is a good solid act and had a decent opener with Bodum. I'm not entirely convinced of Josh yet on the few showings that I have seen him.

    - Mr Moonsault/Samuels was pretty average with a lame finish. I like Sha but I thought on the Uprising show that the Revolutionists were a bit overbooked and I still think that now.

-Tag match was alright, Daniels is such a polished performer and most of his moves were pretty crisp. This match though was on of the rare times where I could see most spots being called in the ring, which is never good. Some good spots and some sloppy ones aswell.

    - Nice short interval, always good.

-The Second half was amazing, it has got to be said. After a so so first half, the second was tremendous. Top Notch action and arguably 4 four star matches in a row.

    - The tag match was a a real unexpected treat to me, Didn't expect anything from hit but it turned out to be a hard hitting, action packed intense brawl which I didn't want to finish. Haskins is one of the best acts on the UK scene IMO, Redman probably has the best physique and The hooligans really impressed me with how good they are. I havent seen Zebra Kid work a match since the FWA days, he was always one of the best workers on the show and he showed here that he is still one of the best around. Good stuff.

    - Richochet/Scrull took the card up another notch. Ricochet is one of the best workers in the world IMO and it will be a travesty if he is never picked up by the WWE. Some of his ariel assaults were amazing to watch. This was without doubt the best match I have ever seen Scrull work. He is improving all the time and delivers a solid showing ever time I see him.

The main event was fantastic. To have 2 great matches before it and a show packed with enough highflying and amazing spots throughout and for this match to still be as good as it was, is a true testament to these guyts. Absolute superb and this match will already be hard to top on the UK scene. AJ is such a crisp performer and doesn't miss a step and Will is the UK's number one hot property at this minute. I think every UK promotion feels the same at the moment because he is always at the top of the card or booked against a import. Amazing match that is definitely work tracking down.

So a big thumbs up for me, looking forward to the next Bethnal Green show already and I'm already tempted by the next Cockpit show.

  8. The show was pretty darn great, It was my fifth Progress show and I am falling more and more in love with the company. It is just a very intimate vibe and atmosphere.

For the first time since following the FWA 10/11 years back I have the feeling of wanting to attend every show possible.

Still not sure of the hours waiting around before though.

The main event was simply incredible, a mixture of fantastic talent, a great storyline and some incredible crazy shit makes it one of my favourite matches of the year and possibly all time at a live event.

  9. He actually came to Cardiff on his second tour and I refused to go on the basis I'd be risking getting inflicted with it again. Glad I didn't now.

The second one was pretty much exactly the same as the first tour. The third tour in May last year he actually freshened up from the first 2 tours (that is if you hadn't heard all his stories from his WWE Hall Of Fame speech).

Raven did a stand up act? Tell me more please.

(PS, that Mick routine sounds the fucking pits)

He was over here for a one shot gig in a pub in London last February.

His comedy act consisted of 20 minutes of telling dick jokes, talking about how many women he has shagged, along with some real lame material thrown in. He was also constantly looking at his notes and reading of script. He was also very forgetful.

I actually spoke to Raven about it at Wrestlecon last year and he thought it was the shits too.

However like Foley IMO, the wrestling stuff he did was really good and well spoken. He done a hour and half q & a session after his act and if you like Ravens shoot interviews etc then you would of loved this.
