actually, game of thrones is the only series on hbo (that i know of) that hasnt gone to 12/13 episodes for an entire season, which pisses me off...

Would people recommend reading ahead or is it better to keep pace with the show?

 

If you prefer your shocks on TV to be shocking, don't read ahead. You don't really want to know who betrays who, who marries who, who dies etc.

 

If you're a fast reader and get through A Game Of Thrones, A Clash Of Kings and Steel & Snow before the current series wraps up, DO NOT proceed to Blood & Gold, and don't even read the back cover of A Feast For Crows.

yeah i have a friend whos just finished Game of Thrones and i told people who are on Clash of Kings or finishing it to wait until the end of this season to start reading A Storm of Swords. but i really do suggest people who are only show watchers to definitley eventually pick up the books at some point.

tonights episode was just simply beautiful, being a book reader i am so completely satisfied with this episode and am enjoying the season so far - its just moving too damn quick!

Jaime is a bad guy but he is starting to change.

 

Sure, but most of the worst things he's done have been for one of the noblest causes from the individual point of view.

 

He's cunning and manipulative but everything he does, he does for those he loves, for his family. He's always been there for Tyrion even though father and Cersei hated him, he refused to kill Ned Stark in a dishonourable manner outside Baelish's brothel, and he saved the smallfolk of King's Landing from being burned by the Mad King. All things considered, if you mentally ignore the part about him shagging his sister since he was old enough to pitch a tent, he's a pretty good guy. Well, apart from killing his own cousin to escape imprisonment by the Northmen, but that doesn't count. It wasn't in the fucking books.

 

Most people I tell that Jaime is my favourite character look at me aghast, and point out that "the Lannisters are the bad guys, the Starks are the good guys." But then, most people are idiots. They clam up when I ask them if Tyrion is a "bad guy." The over simplistic "good guys" and "bad guys" is completely not the tone of the show. The Starks are "the good guys" right? So, those guys that cut Jaime's hand off and were going to rape Brienne (until they realized there was profit in not) who serve in Robb's name - they're good guys? Or Lord Bolton who has seemingly supplanted The Greatjon (Mike from Casualty) as Robb's number 2 over the last two series, he's a good guy? He wanted Robb to flay prisoners to try and get information out of them. What about Stannis? He's a sworn enemy to the Lannisters (the "bad guys") so that makes him a good guy, right? Although... he uses black magic and killed his own brother in dishonourable fashion - and Renly seemed a decent sort, didn't he?

i know $350 for the show sunday doesn't sound much..but the booker booked team ambition for 3 days worth of wrestling, with an agreed price...think of it this way...350x'3 for 3 days of wrestling, if thats the price for each show, he makes $1,050 for the entire weekend..not bad is it? the 350 is actually a PRICE CUT because they agreed to the price cut for there to be a tag team match instead, so if it would have gone on the way it was supposed to he probably would have made more. *shrugs* thats just the idea i had.

anyway, i spoke to my friend Derek Cornell lastnight. he's been wrestling for a couple years and he basically said "it is what it is"

Derek's had matches against Arik Cannon and Joey Ryan, he's really doing well for himself and when he had told me he was going to be having a match against Richards, i was ecstatic for him, it was a chance for him to be elevated to the next level..now his name is out there for being the guy Richards fucked over, i really hope a positive comes out about this for him tho, he deserves to get his big chance.

davey is in a "loa" from roh right now i believe.

hes having issues with kevin steen personally and hes just did a shoot interview which from what i've seen of the previews, he won't be back in roh any time soon so thats prolly why hes pocketing money from little indy feds.

i have another friend that wrestles for a promotion in texas and the owner refuses to book davey richards on any of his shows, what does that tell you. heh. pretty soon the more this spreads the more people won't be wanting to book him or give davey money for their new wrestling school.

the person he was supposed to be wrestling on this show yesterday, is a very dear friend of mine and cobystags that we've known for ten years, infact he's how me and cobystag met in the first place. his wrestling name is Derek Cornell. This was it.. Davey Richards you are the biggest unprofessional piece of shit in the wrestling business. he doesn't even LIKE the wrestling business and he must feel like a real big man stealing a big $350 from a small wrestling promotion in Iowa. FUCK YOU DAVEY.

This is my youngest cat Chase, he is turning two years. This is a pic of him when i first rescued him from outside my house in Aug 2010 when he was about 3/4 months old, he was slightly emaciated, really badly infested with fleas and also a bacterial infection in his intestines. He was on my porch for about 3 weeks being treated/fostered and i just couldnt give him up after

This is Chase a year later: I named him after Chase Utley a baseball player from Philadelphia Phillies and turns out he likes to play ball, chasing the ball and fetch like a dog, so i guess i named him good lol

and this is my 16 year old Cairn terrier Joe. he just got his fur brushed and i propped him up like that for a pic, he isn't baring his teeth he's just got a silly under bite lol

i've had a fair few experiences with him. he was basically robbing roh of money selling tickets. i would be there collecting my front row seats and hes telling people who are walking off the street, i'll give you front row tickets for this price of you promise to sit there for the full tv taping lol. where i paid 30 bucks for my front row seats hes giving it to people for 20. i can understand trying to get the first couple rows filled to look good on the hdnet tapings, but the people that actually wanna sit front row and are fans of roh would have paid that 30 dollars to sit there.

also one time sold seats that i already was sat in to people walking in off of the street. they came and were ready to argue with me about it when i was there in the seat first and had ordered my tickets a month before online lol
