finished the first season of Twin Peaks the other week and after being in Florida for a fortnight I have come back to the second series (watched the feature length first episode last night). I absolutely adored the first season.
Â
I've heard different things from different people about season 2 and I was wondering if anyone had opinions on whether or not it was worth it? A lot of people I know have said it really starts declining in quality about half way through the season but several places on the net say otherwise.
Â
It's ok, but yeah you'll notice it clearly dips in quality, I mean the whole Windham Earl stuff was legit boring, however the last couple of episodes really make up for it, the very final scene of the show is awesome.
Â
One of the best ever in TV, imo.
-
Pride And Glory is absolute shit.
Â
Ahh, felt rushed, like a 3 hour movie squeezed into a 2 hour one. Like the introducing of some of the characters, the Reporter & the rival drug dealer etc, yet they did nowt with them.
I mean, could have worked if they didn't try to get all their shit in.
-
Watched Pride & Glory.
Â
Good film that just kinda fizzled out at the end, like a cheap firework, I love Edward Norton, I don't think I've ever seen a movie with him in ti I didn't like, 25th Hour maybe? Although he was great, film was shite, anyway, a top cast in P&G too, just thought it kinda built well, then just didn't really know how to finish, bit like Berbatoss, right?
Â
So..
Â
SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read
I was actually fine with the death of Jimmy (Farrell) live by the sword, die by it, innit? However there was no reaction to it, just the Teirney lot going into the court. Kinda didn't like that.
Â
Â
Â
Also watched Ghost on Anytime.
Â
Ahhhh what a great movie, even now. I mean seen it pure times but that bit where Willie goes to see Oda Mae & he says you tell me what my name is, Sam tells her & she blurts out "Willie"
LOVE his reaction.
Â
So yeah, class movie.

Kristen Davis. 43. Christ.
Â
Meh, best of a bad lot really...
-
The International.
Meh was alright, was really good untill the museum shoot out & the loss of what by far the best character in the movie.
Â
State of play.
Liked it, the twist at the end was a bit out there though.
-
Watched the Transporter Trilogy.
Â
Loved 'em, first two were awesome, mad car chases & great fights, I thought the 3rd one was a bit weak though, the burd was annoying as fuck.
Â
I love Statham, top dude.
-
Michaela Strachan
Â
-
Babylon A.D.
Â
Actually though it started well, thought it was gonna be an end of days type deal, oh so wrong! Turned into utter shite with a wank ending.
-
Amanda Redman, obv.
-
Crank 2!!
Â
Ahhh, not as good as the first one, due to Chev not being as mouthy, but still an awesome movie, loved it!
Â
Bring on Crank 3!!!
-
Never, ever speak ill of Josh Hartnett.
Â
Â
Â
I saw Pearl Harbour at the cinema, at the end girls were crying.
Â
Fun times...
-
I thought it was a great film personally - even more so in that Josh Hartnett didn't make me want to vomit blood with his acting for once.
Â
The acting was fine, as was Mellisa George.
Â
Just the randomness of it, people showing up late into the film, things like that.
-
I don't remember the film well, but I remember that it was rubbish.
Â
When was CM Punk in it? Was he actually in it, or are you making a joke because there was someone who looked like him in the film?
Â
Ahhh, nah it's a dirty dude who looks a bit like him.
Well not really. He clearly has a huge amount of influence on their actions and behaviour, to the point that they're almost puppets. Plus he was evidently the most powerful and impressive member of the group. With him defeated and the group without a leader/dictator, it's not unreasonable that they'd retreat.Suppose it's just more of a whimper than a bang y'know, thought they at least have ganged up on him or something, just for revenge at least.
Â

30 Days of night.
Â
Ahhh, stupid.
Â
I mean aside from CM Punk's cameo it was dull, with just no running logic, like they went 28 days under solid fear without going mental? Nah, also who was that girl the Mellisa George went to help? Where did she come from after 29 days?
Â
End was daft as well..
Â
SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read
Like after Hartnett killed the lead Vampire, the rest just went away? Just like that?
Not having it.
-
Bangkok Dangerous.
Â
Are, it's KOK alright.
Â
Boooring! I mean I rated Nic Cage in Face Off, Con Air & The Rock, but since those he's been shite, horrible wooden muppet.
-
Ahhh, watched Disaster Movie on Anytime, enjoyed.
Â
Goofy, pointless crap, but a fun watch, loved the Juno/Juney rip off, far more entertaining than the original character..
-
Crank.
Â
Ahhh, loved it! Full of nonsense, like a 90 minute Rock Music video, top film, gonna watch Crank 2 later in the week, can't wait!
-
Not a comicbook fan, but really wanted some of those Fringe Comics, so had a quick gander in Forbiden Planet in Manchester, couldn't see them, asked the dude at the counter, he didn't even know what I was on about.
Â
Anyway, I read the Watchmen Graphic Novel, I gotta say I liked it.
-
Angles & Demons.
Â
Ahh, enjoyed, a fun little rom-com or summat.
Â
Never read the book or owt, but had a gut instinct on Wee Ewan all the way through, was right too!
Â
So yeah, enjoyed it, not as good as Da Vinci Code though.
-
I've recently started The Shield but after The Wire find it incredibly unrealistic and stupid. I'll wait till I finish the first season before I make my mind up though.
I watched the first episode, but I was unimpressed.
Â
Â
Ahhh, kinda harsh compairing it to the Wire, Shield is a top show in it's own right, Vic Makey is a legend.
Â
Â
I can't wait for Fringe to come back on.
-
Sky Premieres this week are..
Â
Saturday 12th - Friday 18th SeptemberÂ
The Gold Retrievers
College Road Trip
Hancock
Burn After Reading
Bart Got A Room
Any thoughts on these?
Â
Â
Checking them out on Anytime. Liked Hancock, yeah it aint winning any Oscars or owt, but was an enjoyable watch.
Â
About an hour into Burn After Reading, not liking it, great cast, but kinda dull.
-
...based on your desire to vent fury at an incident that not only hasn't happened yet, but is 99% certain to never happen. Carry on twatty.
Â
Take it easy mate. I'm not "venting fury" at anything. I seriously couldn't give a fuck if some Romanian nutcase smuggled a gun into the venue and shot Griffin right in the skull.
Â
I've said before that I find the BNP, and the media/left wing circus that follows them to be interesting.
Â
^ A Racist!
Â
Ahhh nah jusy fuckin' with you, I mean all fucking about aside, we need to tackle immigration, we do, needs sorting out, thats not being racist, it's being sensible.
Fuck the BNP, they don't speak for the normal, average British bloke, but the top parties need to sort their shit out to stop these fuckheads getting support on something people feel strongly about.
Â
Innit?
-
Ahhh, hope the BNP get proper sussed on live shows if they go on, fucking cunts.
-
Watched The Spirit.
Â
hemme's review: TOTAL SHIT.
Â
My review is far more entertaining than the actual movie.
