  1. The Festival of Friendship was such a fantastic angle, I can't believe how well they've booked the storyline so far.

Jericho has been absolutely brilliant in this run, easily his best work since the 2008 heel suit stuff.  I enjoyed all the comedy gifts last night but I think the crucial part was when he broke away from the comedy to give a sincere thank you and tribute to Owens. It made the subsequent betrayal all the sadder/better and made Owens look an ever bigger heel.

  2.

    Stephanie Mcmahon is fucking loathsome.

That's the perfect response they'd want, IF she followed it up with helping babyfaces. But she doesn't. Saying that, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Sasha had a big match scheduled for Mania. If it's not a three way with Charlotte and Bayley, it could be something with Steph. Or, of course, she just did it for the sake of it.

She's been doing this bollocks for over 3 years now and in that time she's helped absolutely nobody.

She's an insecure mark for herself.

  3. I wonder if he's just trying to pressure WWE into paying for it?

There's absolutely no chance he just can't afford it, he must have made millions over the years and he's infamously cheap and frugal.

  4. They've totally fucked Sami Zayn. He comes across now as a total midcard loser, and not a particularly over one either.

I liked the Rusev and Enzo stuff, it's a bit daft maybe but at least it's something different. With the big bar fight last week and now this it's nice to see WWE doing some story advancement outside of just endless matches.

Charlotte has improved so much, even in the last few months. She's a great heel.

  5. Ellsworth outright explained it both on Smackdown and Talking Smack after the PPV. He's pinned AJ three times already so he's in line for a title shot and believes he can beat him.

It's fair to complain that *this* is where WWE are telling a story that makes narrative sense, but it really does make sense.

Aye it actually makes perfect sense.

Ellsworth is a delusional idiot who genuinely thinks he has AJ Styles number and can beat him on his own. He's getting a title shot on Tuesday.

  6.

Sasha really needs to sort her hair out, as her receding hairline is getting worse each week.

I only recently saw some photos showing that, I'd never noticed before.

It's really quite remarkable actually, she's going to end up looking like Larry David by the time she's 40

Doesn't she have a weave? Isn't that why she's showing a lot of forehead, because the hairs pulled back?

I've got no idea. Is that how weaves work yeah?

That would make more sense than her hair just dramatically receding though, maybe it is just that.

  8. Becky Lynch is great on Stone Cold's latest podcast. Really likeable and has some great stories to share. It's strange how much more likeable and charismatic the modern wrestlers are when they're outside WWE.

Although that's of course true in general I do think Becky comes across well on WWE Tv too.

    She's a great babyface.

  9.

If Charlotte gets eliminated how would they play it into her "Undefeated on PPV" run? Nia Jax is still absolutely horrible, though.

It's only, she's undefeated in singles matches on PPV anyway.  So it wouldn't matter.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they've made specific mention a few times about her being something like 12,13-0 in PPV Title Matches

Not sure of the top of my head if she has actually lost any matches on PPV in non Title matches anyway but they've made special mention of it being Title Matches that they focus on so Survivor Series wouldn't count

She tapped out in a tag match on PPV a few months ago I think. The one where Bayley made her debut on the main roster.

  10. The Dean Ambrose feud was my breaking point with Brock to be honest. Or rather this Suplex City era of Brock. I don't care if Brock doesn't give a fuck about wrestling as long as he's entertaining and the last year or so he's not been. He's been fucking boring.

We're never going to see him do anything else though, he's not going to change anything of his own accord, it's up to Vince to book him differently.

  11. Someone made a good point on the F4Wonline forums. Everything that made Goldberg's promo great was all the old school stuff that they instruct guys not to do.

He played to the crowd, he showed genuine emotion, he spoke directly into the camera, he didn't use any stupid buzzwords or phrases.

Never was it clearer that WWE have completely lost their way with the promos. A guy shouldn't be able to rock up after twelve years away and put the whole roster to shame.

I want them to pay Ryback however much he wants for the Wrestlemania dream match against Goldberg. Provided Toronto don't fuck this up by being dickheads. If anyone thinks Goldberg "doesn't deserve it," or is, "stealing a spot," then they're retarded.

They've certainly lost their way with babyfaces. They do not know how to make babyfaces likeable anymore.

Goldberg came across last night cool as fuck but also as a hero and someone we should cheer for. It's not as hard to make babyfaces as the WWE makes it look.

  12. I tweeted him once a good few years back and he replied by DM; I think it's just his own way of dealing with people - probably thinks it makes them feel special.

All I'll add here is what a disappointment his current run has been. Compared to his Commissioner run it's an embarrassment. I want the old Mick back.

There's been no humour at all in this run as GM, I think that's the difference. He's either screaming and shouting to show passion, that backstage segment where he was almost in tears trying to make the Cesaro/Sheamus team a big deal was fairly embarrassing, or mumbling and forgetting his lines.

He needs a fucking shave too, he looks ridiculous.

  13. I would have at least had Sandow subbing for Enzo in tags on house shows until he's back. "My name is Sandow Amore" etc.

Would Riley get booked on the indys? He seems to be pretty universally disliked by fans everywhere.

He looks the type to go to to TNA and cut some shit worked shoot promo at the WWE.

Riley could do some money on the wanky indies doing the same anti-darling gimmick. Similar to what Matt Hardy did, just with way less name value.

Sandow Amore is a great idea!

Upset we won't see that now.

  14. I wouldn't say Sandow was going to be the next breakout star of WWE but he's definately a wasted opportunity. The 'intellectual saviour of the masses' was a fun lighthearted character and the MITB cash in match with Cena shown that he could really bring it. The comedy that followed with Miz was actually funny but ultimately led to nothing.

It's crazy to think that this time three years ago he was being considered for a potential WHC run.

Plus, people liked Sandow. The very very few times he was on TV in the last year he got a good pop. He was never going to be a main even superstar or anything like that but he would have been a decent addition to the lower midcard as a popular  comedy babyface. Take up the Santino role.

He was average in the ring but he was great at character stuff. He's the only one in this list I think it's a shame he's gone. And Barrett actually, but sounds like he's wanted to leave for a while.

  15. If you have the network go and watch Rybacks entrance from an episode of Main Event that was taped the night after Mania.

It's been a while since I've seen a wrestler so clearly not give an utter shit.  He's not a happy camper right now.
