Takeover has sold out the Barclay Centre, over 13K tickets sold.
-
So Bully Ray has walked out on TNA already....so he lasted a week as the new GM. Jesus.
I hope someone at TNA is filming all this, would make a cracking fly on the wall documentary.
TNA have got themselves in a mess with putting everyone on a pay per appearance basis, as much as it means they don't have to pay people when they have no shows it also means people can just walk out on them as they aren't under contract.
-
They always have great seats so I would assume they get their tickets free but that must only start after people get to know them for turning up every week. Can't imagine WWE employ them, what would be the benefit?
Must cost a fortune with all the flights and hotels.

Fucks sake, first time I've checked the thread in a bit and gutted that I've completely missed this. If they're running Manchester again in the future I'll have to try again. Even with being in Manchester, it's still a 220 mile trip
They're saying it will be a regular thing. Certainly will after it sold out that quickly. Might be worth signing up to their mailing list so you get the emails with ticket details.

Lesnar not knowing his own strength:
https://twitter.com/WrestleOne/status/618243886440386560/video/1
that doubles as a pretty good highlights package for this weeks Raw too
Wonder if he got to keep it? I thought Lesnar would end up seriously hurting someone in the ring, seems even the crowd aren't safe now.
Loved Titus on commentary, genuinely had me laughing out loud.
Not sure USA will drop the 3rd hour, how do the ratings compare to other non live shows they air in that timeslot on other days? They'd be better off doing something different with the first hour, kind of like the preshow but less of a panel just sitting around and more actual content.

According to Facebook the most efficient way to steal a dog is to go to a house when the owners are out and leave a chalk mark ( like a 19th century vagrant) then come back at a later date and steal the unsuspecting mutt. Not to take it there and then. That would be far too easy.
Despite this being the most retarded way to steal anything ( and being well documented as a pretty obvious urban myth) it's now taken on a life of it's own on my feed and is being supported by all sorts of 'my friend found a chalk mark this morning) anecdotal evidence.
I saw that too. First thought that it was most likely nonsense. Speaking of dogs, one of my Facebook friends moved in with his gf and she owns a Bulldog. He seems more keen on the dog than he is on her. He's obsessed! Constant pictures of the dog and shares of dog memes. I've nothing against dogs but my God, when people say the British like their dogs, they're not lying.
Not gonna lie, I love my dog. I have an Instagram account, and it's basically just pictures of my dog chilling out
My dogs got his own facebook account (which I hasten to add is nothing to do with me) and has way more friends than I have. At Xmas I had to go to the post office to pick up loads of presents he'd been sent from all over the place, even stuff from the states!

That's the same arena they're using for SummerSlam the next night isn't it? Don't think there's another room in there so be interesting to see what the setup is or maybe they think they can sell 15K tickets.
Would make sense for ROH to move their show to the afternoon I would have thought.

I've got the opposite problem. Several shows I HAVE watched till the end seem stuck in that 'Continue Watching' section...
I had this, if you login to the Network through a web browser you can edit the continue watching list and clear them out that way.
-
I've lost track, whens the first Destination America show on Challenge? Not watched Impact in a couple of years but might give it a go.
-
Will be interesting to see the attendances on the UK tour. Seems to be no problem at the moment getting decent tickets or fan interaction so looks to be selling a lot slower than in the past.
If it doesn't sell well enough to warrant another arena tour there must be a risk of SJM kicking them into touch.

Dixie Carter: “IMPACT WRESTLING will remain a vital part of Spike TV's programming on Wednesday nights, 9/8c, through the end of the year. Negotiations remain ongoing beyond this time frame.”
So, there's that.
Sounds to me like Spike saying they'll give it a try and Wednesdays and if they don't get the rating they want they'll bin it at the end of the year. If that's the case wonder if TNA have actually been given a figure they need to hit. 0.65 isn't a good start for them.

over 60% to their 12 month break-even target in just over 6 weeks, they have to be happy with that.
They can't be. The number surely won't grow much from what it is now -- if anything, they might have less at the end of the year, once the first six month obligations are up. "WrestleMania for $10" was the big draw for the network. They've got three quarters of the year left to convince people to buy it (and apparently there are still a lot of luddites who are phoning their cable companies asking for it), but I'm not so sure that the number's going to increase by a third.
Remember their 1 million target includes their major overseas markets where the Network isn't officially available yet.
I can see it growing, the price of every PPV in the states is insane, once people know Mania went off without a hitch it might push more people to subscribe. There will also be more original content which they will be pushing on the TV shows.

WWE (NYSE:WWE) today announced that WWE Network has 667,2871 subscribers and is well on its way to reaching its goal of 1 million subscribers by the end of 2014 just 42 days after launching in the U.S.
They've got to be pretty happy with that. Be interesting to see how many buys Mania gets on traditional PPV channels.

Watched on the PS3 with no problems at all, very impressed. I was planning to watch the pre-show then switch to Sky but after having a perfect HD picture on the pre show and no buffering issues I cancelled my SBO order and watched the whole thing on the Network. Doesn't seem to be too many reports of issues, think WWE will be very relieved today.

WWE goes to court and asks for an injunction giving them the right to seize bootleg merchandise being sold within 5 miles of the Superdome. The filing doesn't actually name anyone or show any evidence that somebody's committed a crime yet, but WWE asks if it can have the ruling in advance of the possible bootlegging and then it'll give the name if and when it sees someone and seizes the merchandise.
Court tells WWE to stick it up its arse: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/w...-advance-693252
Surprised that sort of thing isn't already covered by trademarking and copyright infringement.

The story about Vince selling up appears to be gathering some pace off the back of an interview he did with Forbes. The accompanying article states that there is no clear succession plan and give Comcast and MSG as potential buyers. Some of the article seems like speculation but there is a quote from Vince replying to a question on if the McMahon family would run WWE after he has left "I would like to see a degree of that ... as times go on things will evaporate".
Not a great deal to go on but you would have thought they would have plans in place for what will happen when Vince goes and wouldn't have an issue making them public. As a listed company they need people to retain confidence in the company moving forward, having uncertainty is likely to affect their share price.

channel varies, time sometimes switches with clock changes
If you set it on series link it's worth checking every week that everything is in your planner as it has a habit of randomly not picking up a channel change and you'll find its not recorded.
-
Now that NBC's exclusive negotiating window with WWE has expired it's being reported that one of the companies who have expressed an interest is Viacom. Looking at their channels it would be very likely WWE programming would end up on Spike. That would almost certainly lead to TNA's deal not being renewed. A lot of ifs and buts at the moment but if it did come to fruition would losing the Spike deal kill TNA off?

Is there anyway to make Raw Ep1 come up on the PS3? It only seems to let you search a pre-defined list of names and I can't find a way to get to it but it must be on there as it shows up on the laptop.
Just click on shows>in ring>raw or something similar. Not hard to find.
If I do that I can select year but then I just the first 15 episodes but with 1, 5, 6, 11 and 14 missing.

MVP still isn't under contract as well. Unbelievable that MVP and TNA have so little confidence anyone will snap him up he'll go into a big PPV without anything signed.
Even if you're confident he's not going to go back on his word and nobody else is interested it's crazy to have him on TV playing a major role with no contract. Didn't they do this with MEM v2? None of them were under contract and they'd all gone elsewhere within weeks of the storyline starting.

Lockdown card looks good. Wonder how much the whole WWE Network thing will affect them though. Possibly not at all, if the core audience will buy anyway.
Impact was up against NXT this week and did a .94, a low rating for them (the week before was also low at .95 but that was blamed on going head to head with the Olympics). According to ProWrestling.net TNA did not rank in the top 50 in any key demographics so no actual viewing figures are available. Not sure that's the direction you want your ratings to be going in when you're looking to renew your TV deal.
Also reported on ProWrestling.net that they're making another round of budget cuts. they're even asking people under contract to take pay cuts on their existing deals. The report suggests that they're looking to cut pay by 50%. They must be close to reaching a point where anyone with any name value at all could make more doing indie shows than being at TNA. Where do we think this is all going to end up? People have been talking about them going out of business since they started but could this be the year it happens? Is there any chance Spike won't renew, that would be the end of them wouldnt' it?
-
So when TNA inevitably goes out of business, if the library is cheap enough, what's the odds are it ends up on here?
Think there's a very good chance of WWE buying the library if / when TNA go under. Who else would realistically be interested? WWE could pay, to them, a relatively cheap price while making it out of reach of anyone else who might want it - the likes of Highspots being the only people I can think of.
-
Raw didn't record for me cause it was on Sky Sports 2. I see that the replay tonight is only 2 hours, is this due to the cut down adverts or will they be cutting parts of the show? Also, do they add sound pipes over the live crowd?
Combination of the two I think, less adverts and some of the less important stuff chopped out.

London pre-sale allocation has either sold out or they have messed it up, not unusual with O2 presale. As soon as the listing went live it was coming up with no seats available and now they've switched it to not on sale. Quick scan of twitter and I can see lots of people complaining they couldn't get tickets but nobody who actually seems to have had any success getting Wembley tickets.
