  1. Tell you what was disappointing this week. That Titus/Rusev match. The first two minutes when they were clubbing the fuck out of each others I thought it was going to be great but then the first big punch from Rusev and Titus went into WWE babyface "sell like you're dead" mode. Shame.

I do like Rusev (and Lana) but i just can't watch Titus O'neil so i watched the whole match on fast forward x4.

  2. Opening segment was so badly written. It's hard to know who the show is aimed at. If it's aimed at children then the sexual stuff about the trombone is creepy. If it's aimed at adults then that entire segment was childish and no one came off like they were tough. Even Gallows and Anderson "we hate to be the fun police but.." ....badass men shouldn't talk like that.

All that innuendo and nobody mentioned playing the rusty trombone. Dissapointing :hmmm:

  3. Enjoyed the Takeover show, although it really badly lacked the buzz of previous efforts. The matches for the most part were good, nothing outstanding. Highlights of the show for me were the introduction of Ellering's boys and the crowd responses to Nakamura.

Feels like it's been forever since WWE introduced any new wrestlers with a 'who the fuck are these guys!?' angle. I loved it, it was old school but felt totally fresh for NXT. Nice to see some monstrous looking bastards too, they seem to be a dying breed in the company.

For me, just to have Ellering by their sides gives them a feel of 'these guys must have something special about them' because you wouldn't bring in Paul Ellering and give him utter dross to manage,

Please no ventriloquist puppets this time though.

  4. Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale (and Rocky Romero) were reported to have offers on the table but chose New Japan. I think Jeff Jarrett and Scott D'Amore might be the only "members" WWE could get until the Bucks contracts run out in January. Sign them up.

Vince hates Jeff Jarrett and made it clear when he bought WCW. But the expansion of The Club would be interesting.

  5. It's easy to forget what a mad show this is when you watch it on your todd every week. I dare anyone here who's not seen this week's Raw yet to watch it with a normal person. Almost everything needs explaining, but almost nothing can be explained coherently.

And fucking Cena. He's my favourite wrestler and I'm not shy about it, but then he does these arse achingly cringeworthy promos with his stupid hat on. I'm sure it was said on here a while ago that his Marine character is basically just President Bill Pullman in a baseball cap, and he was even lifting lines from his big Independence Day promo here. Everything after AJ came out was good, but before that he was awful.

Cena is looking pretty old now and those hats are looking a bit silly on him, he's starting to look like the embarrassing dad. Sure, he could get away with it in his late 20's / early 30's but he has been wearing the same stuff for over 10 years, i think i read somewhere that he's self aware of it too.

  6. The matches from top to bottom in the attitude era had wrestlers who were 'over' to varying extents, but probably the most important factor is they all had storylines that were slowly built up and had credibility to them.

A lot of talent in the current product just get randomly thrown into matches against each other and the fans have no real reason to invest in it.
