  1. His appearances on World of Sport were also great - as Big Jim Harris the Mississippi Mauler.

He featured on the Wembley Arena Spectacular in 1981 wrestling Wayne Bridges for the vacant World Heavyweight Title - the genuine UK version not the crappy WWF/WWE version you folk on this place get excited about.

  2. This is very sad news.

Old David was a lovely man and an expert on all aspects of British Wrestling - old and current.

I know he had a particular affection for Klondyke Kate (don't we all!).

Those of us who met David at the British Wrestling Reunions in Kent will remember him as a friendly man, full of good humour.

    Rest in Peace old friend.

  3. Indeed, I think such chants could be counted as a public order issue.

I think it is the responsibility of someone in authority to stop the match and announce on the mike that such behaviour will not be tolerated.

 This has to be turned into an angle. A match going to a no contest because a chant's got the feds escorting fans out the venue.

That would be giving the idiots too much attention and credibility. But putting them in the ring for 5 minutes with T Bone and Rampage Brown would be worth seeing. We'd see how brave they were then

  4. I was also offended by some extremely gross, sexist and homophobic chanting from a certain section of the crowd standing near to where I was sitting. I am not just talking about the usual abuse and colourful language that you expect at wrestling events.

I wasn't going to move, having paid for second row seats.

I maybe completely barking up the wrong tree here but I understand that at football grounds (which I never visit) there is zero tolerance for such abusive language. Indeed, I think such chants could be counted as a public order issue.

The chanting was clearly audible at loud volume during the main event (aimed at Joey Hayes). I think it is the responsibility of someone in authority to stop the match and announce on the mike that such behaviour will not be tolerated. That might sound like an extreme solution but I think it is justified when the language is so offensive.

It was a brilliant weekend of wrestling for which PCW has been rightly praised by fans and visiting wrestlers.

It should not be allowed to be spoiled by drunken yobs.

At a certain other promotion which I attend regularly there is an announcement at the start stating that people should not swear as it is a family show.

I know that PCW is not a family show, but announcement could be made that racist, sexist, homophobic and offensive language will not be tolerated.

The fact that people may be drunk is no excuse.
