  1. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong bush here, but if Fragile X is an inherited form of mental retardation, which side of the family did he inherit it from? If it was from Benoit's, is there not a possibility that Benoit may have been mentally retarded also?

  2. Regarding the Fragile X/HGH thing, if Benoit was mentally unhinged perhaps he saw a link between the frustrations of his stalling career and the illness of his son? Having to give your child growth hormones because he was deemed to be too small must've had a resonance with Benoit's career, with his lack of size in a wrestling context restricting the main-event success he may have felt he deserved. I'm not looking for reasons to defend him, but like everyone reacting to this I'm simply wondering what it was that made him snap. Maybe he suggested to Nancy that he was going to kill Daniel to end his suffering, and when she objected to it he felt the need to kill her first.

  3. Why have they still got tributes to him on the WWE site? Surely after what's happened his career is overshadowed by his demise. I've only just read about this, I'm literally shaking. Absolutely crazy.

  4. Bizarre. Having seen that DVD, I've been giving Clarity another listen over the past few days. It's one of those albums where certain songs you've forgotten about for a while pop back up again and remind you how good they are. My favourite song from that album would be 'A Sunday'. I'll try and upload it so I can contribute to this thread rather than just gaze at it from behind a newspaper with eye-holes cut out. Having never uploaded music before, is it just the same process as uploading photos - open account with website, choose song, wait, copy link? Also have to echo the love for Futures and Bleed American, the latter being their best album for me. Perfect pop music. I just wish they didn't take so long in between albums.

  5. Any fans of Spoon here? I really like this track, off Girls Can Tell. It's short and sparse, with really simple repeating keyboard line with a little bit of guitar riffing over the top. And handclaps. Thank God for handclaps.Spoon - Anything You Want

I've been a fan of Spoon for about 2 days, when I first listened to Gimme Fiction. It's one of the best albums I've heard in a long time, and I'm keen to hear more. Feel free to educate me!
I think Gimme Fiction is their best album, but Girls Can Tell is pretty damn close IMO. I've not yet heard Kill The Moonlight. A Series of Sneaks is okay but lacks the uber-clean production of the later albums, which is something I really like about them. It does have a song called "Quincy Punk Episode" though, which fills me with joy and visions of Jack Klugman's righteous indignation.Anyway, here's the Girls Can Tell album, zipped:Spoon - Girls Can Tell
That's excellent, thanks for that. Suppose it's a little unlucky if I have started with their best album, but the fun will be in finding out if that's true or not I guess. Also, I agree with you Mr. Seven. Brand New were amazing on tour, and the closer was superb when I saw them. They played for 2 full hours too, so kudos is due.

  7. This 'chin music' video was posted by Freaky in this thread a couple of days ago. I've only just seen it but I'm so amazed, because the guy getting kicked is my brother Mike. The guy kicking him is our mate Kev. Another friend is recording it, and I'm the spaz that says 'He kicked him in the face'.

It was recorded about 3 years ago now, and I've heard rumours from friends about how the clip has gone around phones via Bluetooth for ages, and friends of ours keep saying that they've been sent it from other people. At a party a few weeks ago I was told that it was used on some TV clip show or other a while ago.

Sorry to ramble on, but fucking hell, what a coincidence.

  8. I'm not sure I'd even call him a paedophile, to be quite honest.

    Rob is a paedophile. He is a nonce. He's a perv. He's a slot badger. He's a two pin din plug. He's a bush dodger. He's a small bean regarder. He's a unabummer. He's a nut administrator. He's a bent ref. He's The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. He's a fence vole. He's a free willy. He's a chimney bottler. He's a bunty man. He's a shrub rocketeer.
  9. I think your taking too much offence to that statement. I interpreted that comment a completely different way, basically Nigels producing column after column and while he is probably appreciative of the praise he's not exactly reaping the rewards of all the hard work he's putting in (which is through choice, I know). I think Nige is just a bit burned out by it all and people should lay off a bit.

Perhaps I did misinterpret that remark, but I stand by what I said. I'm not particularly offended by what he said, but it seems to me that he's trying to use the apparently scarce feedback he received as one of the reasons for his 'cry for help/plagiarised article/coincidence call it what you will.
