Yeah, it’s such bizarre behaviour which is exclusive to wrestling as well. You never see fans of any other form of entertainment being critical about a product.

Imagine if fans spent this much time analysing their favourite footieball groups and so forth. The whole world would turn to pure madness

It’s not just wrestling - the whole Last Jedi boycott from so called fans and the constant trolling of Rian Johnson has been ridiculous.

  2. It's someone who has made a career out of being really hard to hit facing off against someone who has never had a pro boxing match. So I'd say it would be pretty shocking if PBF lost.

Again I'd love to get down to see Network, but getting down to London to make a weekend of it would mean putting my credit card into a Crippler Crossface, it was the same with wanting to see John Goodman when he was over here doing American Buffalo. I was lucky that my wife's birthday fell during The Elephant Man being on at the right time.

In fact, living in Hull means you've got to travel at least to Leeds before you to see anything decent, and that's before you even start to mention the "City of Culture" coverup for giving the city centre a very cheap makeover.

The wife loved Aladdin too, but I didn't think much to it. Lion King is great though.

We were both disappointed when we saw Wickid last year.

Not a fan of Hull Truck Theatre? Always heard they put pretty decent stuff on.

I haven't been to as much theatre as I would like the past couple of years. Best stuff I saw was when Michael Grandage was the artistic director at the Crucible in Sheffield in the early 2000s. He put on some incredible plays: Derek Jacobi in 'Don Carlos' - Ian Mcdiarmid in Edwards Bonds 'Lear' & Kenneth Branagh in 'Richard III'.

  4. Alton Towers. Must've been about 7. The Gladiators were on park. I remember being on a ride (might've been Corkscrew), with Rhino and Saracen who were in front of me, both closed their eyes the whole way round and when someone said "Put your hands up Rhino" he let out a girly "Nooo!" Immense memory

I should get my wife to post here. She's a fright nights actor at Thorpe Park and has some EXCELLENT stories.

You should do. Does she perform in the various mazes?

  5. 2017 is going to be a banner year for some UK promotions while others just get left behind. It seems PCW might fall into the latter - there on demand service isn't as quick uploading the shows as everyone else, the Riddle situation & they just seem to be stuck doing the same old shows where other promotions are trying different things. I can't imagine the shows with Beyond etc were cheap to organise and didn't seem to sell that way either.

  6. To be fair to Ridley, The Martian was great fun but for the most part of his career since about Black Rain he's been shite. I couldn't have been happier when it was announced Villeneuve was doing Blade Runner instead of Scott.

Sure he has had his fair share of misfires - Hannibal etc but Gladiator, Matchstick Men & Black Hawk Down are all quality films.

  7. There are loads of stories from Jericho's books where he just sounds like an overbearing twat.

When he wouldn't leave Christopher Lloyd alone and kept saying 88mph to him.

When he just got pissed all the time and even annoyed his childhood hero HBK who told him to sort his act out because everyone thought he was a twat.

There are also loads of stories about him going out on the piss where he sounds like the guy you never want to get stuck with at the office party.

  8. Heard on some podcast a while back that ICWs financial partner is getting a bit hacked off that they aren't seeing much of a return from the investments and that the Hydro show needs to do well otherwise they are cutting ties.

Anyone know anything about this or just speculation?

  9. Big Dave has a huge role in one of the biggest franchises of all time. He has a number of other options and is probably being looked at for a variety of roles in Hollywood. The notion of him being desperate for anything is complete and utter rubbish. Sure he might not be able to carry a film the way Dwayne can but he has a very strong career outside of WWE.

  10. Going on holiday to Spain... will I be able to watch Da Network on my iPad or am I likely constrained by geo-blocking and the like?

Nah you will be fine. I was worried about this but managed to watch mania over 3G on the iPad .

  11. If they doesn't decimate the entire roster on their own with a joy joy feeling then PCW is AIDS.

Agreed - getting the Steiners to do a competitive match with a UK team would be a waste and boring to boot. The main event should basically be as many uk jobbers as humanly possible being fed to the Steiners. That would be ace just seeing Scott suplex them all to hell and doing press-ups while another one entered the ring.

  12. Yes they did - was a strange one that!

Mack wasn't a threat at all was he? Do we think Bute will trigger the re-match clause or we will get Kessler 2 at Notts Forest ground?
