  1. I'm hoping this is the correct thread to ask this question.

Have all the old threads (which are no longer on any of the pages) disappeared forever? Or are they stored somewhere and can be found but i'm just too stupid to realise where?

After reading the Anarchy Pro Wrestling thread in the gold section, i was wondering if the thread where Sickboy* absolutely destroys Sprules about everything (mainly film making/screen writing) is still about. Also the thread where everyone collectively comes together to make two sheds look idiotic, i think its a thread about a book.

    * Not just sickboy, herbie has the single greatest post ever in the history of this forum in that thread.

  2. EDIT - Ok, after hours of looking (and mostly asking my cousin) i realised it was called 'They still call me Bruce'.

(If no one understands why i posted this, its because earlier i asked help with a movie.)

As i don't have much more to add, i will end my post by saying something i have said on like half of my posts. Watch Friday Night Lights!

  3. This question might have been asked already (my apologies if so), well either that or no one has ever bothered to look the answer up as it would take a lot of effort.

Anyway, my question is... Who has the best * average from Meltzer for a career? (Sorry for my awful wording)

I know its a bit nerdy to want to know the answers (and i imagine its A LOT of effort to find out), but i love stats and stuff like that. Plus i would love to know stuff like ''Would Batista's average be higher than Cena's'' and 'Would any wrestler not crack at least 2 Stars for their entire career''.

If no one knows the answer but knows where i can find a list of all the matches which have been listed with a * rating, i wouldn't mind looking through it and doing it myself. (Thats how much i love this sort of stuff!)

    Thanks x

  4. I voted yesterday and for the life of me i cant think who i voted for. I think it was JLM, but might of been Chest Rockwell, Mr Seven or BazTNM. If any one of those 4 win i wont mind. Though i think JLM has had more enjoyable posts than anyone else in 2008, so he deserves it the most.

One of my favourite JLM moments which i remember off the top of my head, came when someone 'i think it was Barrington' (sorry if i'm wrong) said he didn't know who JLM was. Then JLM made a joke about it which this guy took seriously and there was the most bizarre argument/shoot ever by this guy all whilst JLM was making jokes.

Obviously i didn't do it justice, but it really was hilarious to read. Though i think i was worked through the whole thing.

  5. Figured i would add a little bit, just to say who i really enjoyed and who i voted for.

I enjoy reading pretty much everything on-topic, but a few people i really like are

Ebb: Probably the best MMA poster on the board, and always nice enough to post results and stuff about recent ppvs.

Freaky_Jason: who is a really good read as he has a good knowledge and doesn't take himself too seriously.

Dj Stevie C: I can't believe he wasn't on the shortlist, I really enjoy his posts about Raw.

The person i voted for (and can't believe hasn't run away with this by now) is Supremo. His posts are always a great read as he puts a lot into them and really covers all bases. He is incredibly knowledgeable and always makes great points, I don't think i have ever disagreed with anything he says (well i might of but by the end of his posts i usually end up thinking he is right and i was wrong). I absolutely love his ppv reviews, they are the best read in the on-topic section. I can't say enough how much i have enjoyed his posts, whenever i see his name on the 'last post by' bit i will always read it. Plus he likes Christian and i bloody well love that man.

  6. I recently went to watch Zach And Miri Make A Porno at the cinema. I am a big fan of Kevin Smith and own everything he's done, so it was safe to say i was always going to see his new film.

I really enjoyed it, its less of a Kevin Smith film (people could of easily thought it was a Judd Apatow film) but it kept all the little things which make Kevin Smith films likeable and different. I like Seth Rogan and love Elizabeth Banks, they didn't disappoint as their chemistry was good together. I did however think Craig Robinson (Darrell from the Office) stole the film, he has this quality dead pan delivery which makes all his jokes a laugh out loud moment.

The film just flew by i thought, which i what i like to see in a comedy. I hate it when the film lasts 30 minutes too long (prime example being Wedding Crashers). There are enough jokes and laughing moments to keep you going throughout the film without getting bored or anything. Its a film which you could easily see even if you aren't a fan of Kevin Smith films, but its got enough in there for his fans to enjoy it too.

    Two last things.

Justin Long cameo as Brandon Routh's gay lover was fantastic, he had the best over the top voice for the part.

Jason Mewes looked 10 years younger than what he looks like in other Smith films, he should be the poster boy for what getting off drugs can do to your look. It was amazing to see him look so good, plus after 10 years of begging to Smith to let him get his dick out, he finally did at the end of the movie.

Now i'm going to go find someone to Dutch rudder with.

  7. Does all this mean no-one is watching the new season (3) of Friday Night Lights? It started back up again a few weeks ago and we are currently on episode 3, it really has got back to what made it so great in the first place. The storylines are back to being believable (season 2 was a bit 'out there') and the cast is just second to none for all the emotional scenes. I love the way it is filmed with the cameras following the actors and people not fully committed to the script, it just feels real. The show will always have a place in my heart as the Matt/Julie relationship (and break up) reminded me so much of my first love (minus the QB stuff, dating the coaches daughter and well Aimee Teegarden), i think thats what really got me into the show and probably the reason i didn't enjoy season 2 as much as the first season. Anyway if you haven't seen the show, or just dismissed it as a stupid teen drama then i urge you to give it a chance. I can't stress enough how great it is and how easy it is to connect with the characters and care about them.

  8. How did that camping trip go, RochelleRochelle? Only I notice you're still into the ladies, which is surprising ;)

It was great fun, thanks for asking. One piece of advice i can give is never try and erect a tent when drunk, it just doesn't work! Only lasted 4 days though, which was a shame, as it started raining very heavily and it wasn't going to lighten up so we decided to go back. Well i do love Maria so it looks like i am still into the ladies for now. However after JLM was so nice in keeping my Olympic thread alive it really has stirred something inside and given me a lot to think about.
  9. I figured it was about time i posted one of the girls on the WTA tour. Its not going to be Ana Ivanovic (even though she is just ridiculously beautiful), because i don't think she qualifies for this thread anymore after she graced the cover of FHM recently. So i give you Maria Kirilenko, my favourite female tennis player and just so sexy and beautiful in real life. She is 21. I hope you like.

  10. You seem like nice people so i'm going to do you a favour and help you out, for a girl name her 'Soda' and for a boy 'Seven'. I solve problems, its what i do.(I understand i'm not contributing to this thread with these suggestions, but i just couldn't help myself)

  11. I don't know either guy but was intrigued to know how old each was. I'm sure i read somewhere that Mr seven is like 18/19ish? How old is Turnbucklepads? the same? Do they actually know each other and are sort of taking the mick out of their friendship. Or is it a real 'fight'?
