  1. Haven't seen the whole show yet, only the reveal on YouTube. But as others have said, that was one awkwardly bad reveal. There was absolutely NO reaction for Ortiz. Tenay's trying to sell it was pitiful and the other wrestlers reactions were horrible. Although - on a side note - I'm glad Borash was on commentary.

Another nail in TNA's coffin. And I HATE saying it.

  2. Where is Adam Pearce's name coming from? A lot of people are saying this, and to me it seems completely insane to bring in Adam Pearce as a mystery man. What reaction are we meant to give? It has to be Jarrett or Bischoff. It cant be Bob Holly or Luke Gallows. People are just going to go "urrrgh!" if its someone we haven't been educated to give a single fuck about. Jarrett's back working there as well (since they sacked Prichard and D'Lo, they need someone to help out) so it only makes sense its him. If not, its going to be another on the list of shitty surprises.

Don't get me wrong. For the reasons you've stated, I hope and pray it's not Pearce, King Mo, Kaval, Gallows et al and if any of the names mentioned is revealed to be the "surprise" then "urrrgh!" really won't quite express the contempt people will have for it. Also Pearce, himself, has kind of fueled rumours it maybe him via his twitter account by alluding to what people will be doing on August 1st when the surprise is revealed and commenting alot about TNA, in general, over the past few days.

Also with Pearce; how asinine would be to bring him into TNA under this supposed "justice" gimmick? (if that's what it is?). They [TNA] considered him not good enough for their "GutCheck" challenge but he somehow magically becomes good enough for their main roster. Argh!

  3. This Sorenson thing is a big public relations fuck up on TNAs end. Take out actually caring for the person and look at it from a business point of view. Was his $1000 (or in that ball park) a month going to put TNA in the black? Or even help the company? A lot of faith has been lost by the fans and the people inside TNA over this one.

On the contract front, Hogan's deal is up in October and Sting's is up in November. That's going to be very interesting.

I think a lot of people's faith in TNA was lost a long, long time ago. This is just another nail in the coffin. As for your latter point; if TNA are still struggling, financially, come Hogan and Sting's respective contract expiry dates, then Dixie and TNA IMO surely cannot justify renewing their contracts considering both are easily, I'm guessing, on handsome six figure salaries.

Personally I think Sting (possibly even Hogan) shouldn't have their contract(s) renewed. Not because of any grudges or dislike against them but I feel Sting, especially, cannot achieve much else in the company.

  4. He is truly one of the most caring compassionate people not just in wrestling but in life...

    ...Its all about money...

Back on topic, Dixie Carter crying online about people giving her shit makes her and her company look proper small time. It's like something that Ian will be writing an 'Indy Wank' nostalglia thread about in ten year's time.

IMO Dixie is just way in over her head when it comes to running TNA. She just isn't ruthless enough when it comes to running a sustainable business model/structure for TNA. And when I say ruthless I don't mean Jesse Sorensen firing/release ruthless. Say what you want about Vince or the WWE in general but everybody in that company knows that Vince, Steph and HHH (probably in that order - for now) run that company and WWE is run like a business first and foremost.

Dixie via interviews and her tweets strikes me as someone who doesn't quite get that and seems to reward wrestlers based on what they've done in the past which is very noble but not smart business wise. Especially if your house shows aren't generating that much revenue for example. Surely if the company is losing money but you're releasing those who didn't make that much money with the compnay surely you've got to look where your top money is going to? The top guys! I'm thinking Sting, Hogan, Mr.Anderson, Devon etc.. These guys must all be on six figure salaries. Surely some cuts backs need to be made there as well?

  5. Impact was very good this week. It was really fresh and good to see D Lo Brown back in the ring. I really wasn't expecting him to be competing in the ring during the Aces and Eights angle. Talking about the Angle I'm still enjoying it. With the Tag Division rather bleak I would like them to throw together Knox/Gallows into the tag division and add them to a multi-man match for Slammiversary. Sabin looked fantastic during his return. The team of Ryan/Jesse/Robbie was such a great combination I hope they decide to continue this one. The AJ Styles storyline still has me interested.

They need to do something better with Angle. I recon they should do him against D Von at Slammiversary for the title. Have Angle with the belt and be like 'I'm gonna wrestle every week with this' but this time actually do it.

The idea of Angle feuding with Devon over the TV belt never even occurred to me but I think it would be a great idea; especially if Angle were to win the belt (say for example at Slammiversary) and defend it on Impact each week (with the benefit of the defences being on the road) as opposed to in the impact zone it would give the title a much needed lift and actually give it credibility and relevance with someone like Angle carrying the strap.

Also a agree about the Knox/Doc combo winning the tag belts. Maybe have them interfere in the no.1 contenders match for the tag belts somehow which eventually leads them to winning the belts at Slammiversary. Build them up as badass bullies and possibly have them hold onto the belts until Bound for Glory.
