Please let that be a typo. Whats the point of throwing in the extra L?

Even if you think it'll make him unique, the poor fucker's going to be spending the rest of his life going "no, two Ls..." and always having his name spelled incorrectly on forms. Seriously, it's like calling a kid Indiana Jones and sentencing him to a life of people singing the theme tune or making a whip-crack noise, especially when he meets someone new for the first time. Why create all that bellyache, he won't thank you for it.

Couldnt give a crap whether he likes his name or not, he can change it when hes old enough, i've lived my life with a funny spelt first name, middle name and surname and guess what? i just got on with it.

It might seem like a nice quirky name at this moment in time, but as others have said, it's your son that will pay the price. 'Not giving a crap' is not really becoming of a mother to be and I'm sure once he is born and you look into his inocent little eyes you'll not want to do anything that could ever cause any kind of discomfort. Kids can be very cruel, and while you 'got on with it' your son is not you and he may be affected - why risk that with what will be the most important person in your life? Dylan with just the one L is still a lovely name, maybe even more so given that you can sleep easy knowing you are not creating unnecessary hassle for your little boy. It may sound harsh, but think of him, not you. Whatever you decide, good luck with it all - hope it goes well.
