House of Pain
On the weekend of the 12th and 13th November, the House of Pain Wrestling Academy will host its special Weekend Warfare shows at its home venue: Gym Combat in Nottingham. Â 2 BIG MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR WEEKENDER Â SATURDAY Â The loud mouth, out spoken Joseph Conners will receive a shot at the House of Pain title against Champion Nate Colt. This will be Colt's first defence since emotionally winning the title from Dave Breaks in July, but his run as champion has not got off to a great start. At the last show, Conners interrupted Colt, who was in the middle of thanking the HOP fans for sticking behind him, by challenging him to a title match, claiming he could beat him without breaking a sweat, then later that night, Conners made good on his promise by delivering a vicious DDT onto the title belt and pinning the champ at the end of a 6 man tag team match (also involving Danny Chase, Robbie X, Mike Wyld and Kaleb Hughes). It seems the heinous actions of Conners have lit a fire underneath the normally easy going Colt, so fireworks are expected when they meet for the championship. Â SUNDAY Â In what can only be called one of the biggest and highly anticipated matches in House of Pain history, Kaleb Hughes defends the HOP cruiserweight title against former champion "Adrenaline" Danny Chase in a 2 out of 3 falls match. The history between these 2 involves wins, loses, back stabbing, injuries, title defences, shock title wins, HOP 2010 match of the year wins (September 2010) and has spanned for nearly a year and a half. This will be without a doubt a hate filled grudge match for the ages. It will also be the last time these 2 clash for the cruiserweight title whilst either are champion. After this 2 out of 3 falls match, we will finally see who the TRUE champion. Â Saturday 12th November Gym Combat, Crocus Street, Nottingham Doors 5.30pm, Show Starts 6pm Adults
