Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 20, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 20, 2019 A Bela Tarr film in slow-motion is more exciting than another superhero film.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted April 20, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 20, 2019 Going into the traps of a bookies gents on a Saturday evening and piddling a forceful stream to erase the days build up of rogue gik from around the pot is more exciting than another superhero movie. And I used to be one of them cunts who couldnt get enough of the fuckin movies.
wordsfromlee
I know that De Niro has been doing these comedy movies the past few years purely for the pay cheque, but is he really that skint that he needs to soil his legacy even more by doing those new Kia adverts? Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 22, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 22, 2019 I think they're alright? They're no Keitel doing Direct Line at the very least.
Keith Houchen
Adverts are easy money for an actor, why wouldn’t they do them? Orson Welles said “I’d rather do an honest ad than a dishonest movie” and he was Transformers so he knows what he’s on about. And I think he directed a Burger King ad once, fired someone on the first day.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 22, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 22, 2019 I predict that when The Irishman finally comes out people will be begging for more car ads.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted April 23, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 23, 2019 The man was recently in Dirty Grandpa. His legacy is an old dry and crispy dog turd that won't leave. I don't have an issue with actors doing ads at all. Be silly to turn down good money for not a lot of work.
wordsfromlee
Apparently US Netflix have just got a new version of The Hateful Eight. Tarantino has re-edited the movie into a 4-part TV show with 45 minutes extra footage. Not sure if we’re going to get it over here or not. Factotum
I'm pretty sure QT is going to get into Mini-series' soon. I think he mentioned a while back on Stern that he seriously considered taking Inglorious to HBO because he wanted it to be more sprawling. Be nice if when hangs up the film he goes into something like that. Quote I think they're alright? They're no Keitel doing Direct Line at the very least. Think Keitel had to do those. That Braco divorce seems to have fucked him Edited April 26, 2019 by Factotum

Not sure how I feel as it being split into a mini series. May pace better that way

Somebody was moaning about this on Twitter, claiming Netflix had done it without his permission, cue more 'Netflix is destroying cinema' bollocks. It's a crap film anyway, definitely his worst to date. It's single-handedly having me believe Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be shite even though I like all the rest of his films. I agree that he has to really hit a homerun with OUATIH to make up for Hateful Eight. I think he will, or maybe in my desperation for him to make up for it I have unrealistic expectations. Was it not announced in advance as I knew nothing about it myself until coming on here today. I am still waiting for the final edit of Kill Bill more then more content added to that shite. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted April 26, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2019 I enjoyed Hateful Eight. Would give this a go for sure.
wordsfromlee
I haven't seen Hateful Eight as it sounded too long, but I'd be up for watching it in a TV format.
