Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 11, 2007 Paid Members Share Posted April 11, 2007 My favorite MF Doom song, it's called "Beef Rap". It's just a flat out awesome unique, original rap song. No rapping about bitches and gangstas in this and just tons of fun. Â http://www.sendspace.com/file/9qblph
Weezage
Bayside - Blame It On The Bad Luck (acoustic)Shame they're not really all that good - their acoustic album barely left my stereo last summer. A quick revisit confirms it's the best thing they've released by a long way. That is so horribly incorrect! All their CD's are superb! Especially 'Bayside' and 'Walking Wounded'

The acoustic album was the first thing I heard by them but I adored it. I've not felt any connection to their non-acoustic stuff despite repeated listenings. They're alright though, I don't dislike them, it's just that the acoustic album really did a lot more for me.

Mr. Seven
Amen - Coma America  One of my favourite songs ever. Loud, raw and angry.
Guest jaymz_is_god
I thought I'd contribute to this thread. Been listening to this song a lot today. It's called 'C'mon, C'mon' by The Von Bondies. Not a huge fan of them, but I heard this song on the superb show Rescue Me and fell in love with it. Paid Members Au Posted April 12, 2007 Paid Members Share Posted April 12, 2007 (edited) Incubus - New Skin  Feeling all summery today so here's a song from one of my favourite summer albums. Takes me back to being a teenager again...  edit: just realised this album's nearly 10 years old! Fuck! Edited April 12, 2007 by elegia
VirtuosoRusty
Some Indie / Alt-pop, whatever genre you want to pigeonhole into. Pavement-esque? Anyway, this is Tapes N Tapes, with "Insistor" Â http://www.sendspace.com/file/dqardr
Parkamarka
Pavement-esque is probably the best I could do with Tapes 'N Tapes, as well. Kind of indie, but a bit wonky. In the same vein - and with an equally ludicrous name - here's some Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. The second album on the whole is far less of a Talking Heads tribute than the first, they've moved into their own sound a bit - although the singer still sounds like David Byrne in a drunken stupor. I haven't got their new album yet - really liked their debut. Over and Over Again especially was a superb tune with great (if indecipherable lyrics). As today seems to be a "lo-fi" day, let's have some of The Spinto Band. I bought their album after seeing them on Jools Holland and it's easily one of my favourites from last year. This is one of the standouts - Brown Boxes - featuring perhaps the only use of kazoos I can think of. And for anyone just thinking, what a load of indie wank, then give it a try, it doesn't disappoint:-http://www.sendspace.com/file/7y8pydAnd some classic Ween:-http://www.sendspace.com/file/jxabbnI defy anybody not to like this song! Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 12, 2007 Paid Members Share Posted April 12, 2007 Loads of people hate Push The Little Daises.  I love it however. Especially the live version.  And I may aswell try and start a trend for posting songs by Ween, probably the best band ever. Honest.  http://www.sendspace.com/file/yleep8  If you don't like the above song "What Deaner Was Talking About" then I don't like you. Actually it's made me so happy I'll post another magnificent Ween track:  Transdermal Celebration: http://www.sendspace.com/file/gq1t8q  Fuck, I'm good to you, have another classic. VirtuosoRusty
Loads of people hate Push The Little Daises.I love it however. Especially the live version.Who are they exactly? Let me know, as they should be hunted down and killed.Cheers for the additional Ween stuff. Have been slowly updating my old C90's so these very welcome. Can we have the live version? This is my mates band, Beeches. I happen to think they're rather good, but then I'm biased. Neil also spent far too much of his youth listening to Pavement:-http://www.sendspace.com/file/5r9povhttp://www.sendspace.com/file/c02llpI realise I've gone well over my song for the day, but I'm feeling generous. Having seen someone else liked Mew, have "Why Are You Looking Grave" featuring J Mascis:-http://www.sendspace.com/file/txt5l3
Guest Ice
Unexpected burst of Ween love~! Â They're one of my all time favourite bands! Also, the video for Push Th' Little Daisies is probably the best music video ever. Â Weezer - The Good Life I always liked Pinkerton but lost my copy a few years ago, but picked it up cheap last week and have been listening to it lots. I heard that Rivers hates this album, but I think that it's brilliant. It's not far off Blue for me, maybe equal or better - it's certainly far better than the others by a long way.
