Even if he never fights for a world title again, he's still overcame the odds and managed what many figured was the impossible. Yep, here's hoping he doesn't fuck off and get depressed again. Factotum
To a US audience they must be scratching their heads about Joshua. He HAS to fight one of the big two in his next fight.
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted May 1, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted May 1, 2019 Joshua v Ruiz is a bad PPV. I still think the worst British PPV has to be Haye v Harrison though.

I'd say Cleverly vs Bellew 2 was just as bad, if not worse as at least the Haye vs Harrison fight was for a world title.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted May 1, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted May 1, 2019 No one sold as many turkeys on PPV in the UKÂ as David Haye. He was the absolute don of the PPV con job, no one has done it better.

Well, as any internet mental health specialist will tell you, "he's got lots of money! What the fuck does he have to be depressed about?!? Try getting up at 6am to go work on the bins!" Porkchopcash
The King is fighting again on September 28th. Havent seen fuckall build up for the Canelo fight. But looking forward to it now. How do people see it going? Cant see anything other than a Canelo points win. Wether deserved or not. Think he is the better boxer and should be able to navigate his way to a points win. I like Jacobs and his story but i love Watching Canelo box. Â

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted May 3, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted May 3, 2019 Canelo's buildups are always a bit subdued dud to his lack of English and because he's quite selective with the media he does, i think it adds to his mystique in a way. Come fight night it always feels like a huge event.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted May 3, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted May 3, 2019 Yeah there’s something about the big Mexican stars. Obviously De La Hoya was different because he spoke English well and had that sort of charisma and poster boy look to go with his fighting style. Canelo reminds me more of a bigger Julio Cesar Chavez. Their fighting styles are/were so exciting, they had that no nonsense badass vibe to them and then the following they have/had from the Mexican fanbase gives them a different kind of star quality. This is a great fight. I reckon Canelo ends up winning but I feel like Jacobs is a guy who is continuously overlooked and if he’s on his game I wouldn’t be surprised if he gives Canelo all kinds of problems. Of course, even if he knocks Canelo out cold they’ll probably call it a slip and still score the round to Canelo but you know.

If Canelo gets knocked out, i would like to think Jacobs could secure a draw?
