Mr_Danger
I used to get ‘Dal’ instead of Daz. Took me the longest time to realise people weren’t calling me ‘darl’ like Irene on Home and Away used to say.

Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted August 31, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 31, 2020 The meat is the burger, and the bun is a bun or a bundy. When you go to a butchers and ask for some burgers, they'll hand you round shaped meat. Â

Replace that egg with the equivalent metric weight of salt.

Replace that egg with the equivalent metric weight of salt. The egg's just for binding the meat. Seasoning's a different thing altogether. When I make burgers, the basic recipe is mincemeat, finely-diced onions, Dunn's River All-Purpose seasoning, some dried thyme or sage, and an egg. Edited August 31, 2020 by Carbomb

He said egg has no place in a burger and salt is necessary, and he's right.

I've not tried making burgers without egg, because I didn't want to risk they'd fall apart the moment they hit the pan, but that's what I was told when I was given the recipe. Either that or breadcrumbs to bind it all together.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted August 31, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 31, 2020 Yep. No egg required! Important to have the right fat content for the beef though..
