It starts when DDP introduces Emma Frost as the new Diamond Doll.

Things get out of hand and it culminates in a Wargames match featuring the team of Hogan, Sting, Wolverine, Spider-Man and Cap taking on Apocalypse and his horsemen: Naitch, Arn, Mr Sinister & Warren Worthington III

Comic would have been corny and shit, a live wrestling show with guys dressed as Marvel characters would have been worse. Who would play them? Power plant guys I guess and Russo would have been booking by the time it happened. Spider man would have unmasked and called his gimmick the shits and everyone jabroni's and marks.

I would have thought the best cross over would be inclusion into a video game, perhaps instead of backstage assault. I could see marvel characters doing well as DLC in a WWE game these days.

This was WCW. They had Robocop, a yeti (that looked like a mummy), Mortal Kombat rip-offs, and a KISS “Demon”.

Oh, and Chucky. Fuckin’ Chucky the doll.

We know that Spider-Man vs Randy Savage is a match that would have worked, thanks to Sam Raimi, so maybe live action is a better route than a comic. Chris Hemsworth as Thor as Hulk Hogan vs Actual Hulk Hogan perhaps.

Edit: Just remembered a precedent for wrestler vs superhero comics - I’m sure Antonino Rocca was on the cover of a Superman comic once.

Crazy, right? They were about one step away from having Beaker from The Muppets run interference in a match.

Another one - someone on here once mentioned some Turkish-made (possibly in joint efforts with Mexican studios?) of El Santo teaming up with Spider-Man.

Would be interested in seeing Roman Reigns vs. Jason Momoa's Aquaman, just to see who's the bigger macho Polynesian.

That would be 3 Dev Adam, which was a Turkish film, but not in joint efforts with Mexico - purely made through their lax approach to copyright! It features El Santo and Captain America going up against the villainous Spider-Man, who is a murderer and torturer.
