I'll bet Inoue's already being compared in Japan to the main character from the popular manga Hajime no Ippo - a smaller, lighter weight in-fighter knockout artist who specialises in liver punches.

He's definitely a lot of fun to watch, so I'll make sure to catch his next fights.

As a kid, I loved the video game based on the Ippo series.

Apparently he's not as big in Japan as this dude was - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joichiro_Tatsuyoshi#Professional_boxing_record

Anderson fucking Silva!

I watched the Silva/Chavez fight last from the weekend, cause i wasnt really arsed. Silva looked great!

Granted he fought a shell of Chavez Jr. but Silva did himself and MMA proud there. He fought like himself too, he showboated and threw some weird Anderson Silva shit and clowned Chavez for large parts. Of all the showcase/exhibition style fights recently, i definitely enjoyed this one the most.

After Anderson's slow, weird finish to his MMA career, this felt like vindication for him.

The DAZN show was good fun too. The Munguia fight was predictably one sided but that Melikuziev/Rosado fight was one of the best things ive seen all year, in any sport. Until the finish all i could think was Melikusiev is an absolute monster, he was battering Rosado, it all felt abit painfully one sided then out of nowhere, Rosado lands the best punch of his career. It was awesome.

Worth watching with the sound on.

That said, i hope Melikuziev comes back from that. The guys an absolute savage, he needs to reel in the aggression but that man fights with bad intentions.

Blair Cobb on the undercard was great too. Keep an eye on him, some fun to be had watching him.

As for Inoue, just a horrible little man. Frightening the power he carries for being so small.

Cracking little weekend.

big ol' fight this weekend, this is on full blown PPV in America (Fite TV over here).

On first glance it looks like a side step for Tank, but the interesting thing here is that Tank continues to go up in weight, jumping 2 divisions here to fight Barrios, and it shows...

Id imagine theres a lot of people hoping Tank's bitten off more than he can chew here.

Davis might be an utter cretin of a human being, but hes must see in the ring. This is gonna be good. Remember the last time Tank fought, this happened:

oh, and over on Sky, the return of this fella:

I cant recall a fighters as esteemed as Loma be cast off after a loss. He's been left out of all the chatter since lost to Lopez, this a chance for him to reintroduce himself. Nakatani 19-1 and gave Teofimo Lopez a rough night a few years ago. This doesnt look like an easy touch gimme.

Tank/Barrios was outstanding. I had Tank up by 2 points going into the 11th but i was willing Barrios to reach that final hoping that he could pinch a decision, it was going so well until those 2 knockdowns in the 8th. Tank just always finds the punch.

The official cards would have robbed Barrios anyway. Bullshit how they had it so wide.

Tanks entourage fucks me off though, so many arse lickers and hangers on. I know hes easy to route against anyway, but that whole scene makes me route against him even more, but you cant say hes not must-see in ring.

Watched both the Tank and Loma fights. Think Tank would KO Loma, Haney and Garcia.

Tank v Lopez would be gold, especially with the build up with Lopez’ dad.  Not sure who i would fancy in thay.

Still fancy Lopez to beat Loma in the rematch.

Tank has weird power for those lower weights, i could see him KO'ing anyone hes putting in with.

Saw most of the Loma fight, he wasnt messing around was he? most aggressive i think ive seen him.

ahh thats fallen quite nice for Frank hasnt it.

Anthony Yarde was also meant to be on the card, but boxrec isnt listing it now so im guessing that's fallen off. I hope Saturday leads to a Arthur/Yarde 2 pretty soon, id have been happy with them doing it right away.

Yeah, his opponent got injured late on and no suitable replacement could be found.
